Maybe someone already commented this, but FYI. There are these things called "cover stories" which are just single panels as the title card of a manga chapter that show different threads of the One Piece story, and they're actually canon and occasionally influence the real story. They sadly don't make it into the anime but you should know that Franky and Señor Pink have their drink together and talk about the woman named Russian. The drinks they get are called Gimlet, which is the name of their late son. And Franky is crying profusely in the cover story. It's completely hard-boiled.
It's sad how the cover stories aren't adapted into the anime, anime onlys are missing out on some cool stories and hints for the future. Hopefully the remake properly adapt them.

That’s why Franky was so shocked when he saw S-Sharks power cause at first he thought Pink had been killed.

Once they reach a certain Bounty amount, the navy makes a decision on either subjugating them or having them work under the navy and receiving the “Warlord” title. Due to the loss of Crocodile because of his attempt to take over Alabasta, Marshal was appointed as Warlord despite not having a bounty. Moria was rightfully disappointed at the decision because there was no way to gauge a person’s power without a bounty to go by, but after learning that he captured Ace, it gave Teach aka Blackbeard much more notoriety. This mostly applies to the 4 corners (North Blue, South Blue etc.) and the Grand Line, beyond that into the new world however the Warlords are more of a benchmark in terms of power since it took all 8 individual Warlords and the combined might of the Navy (Captains, Admirals AND Fleet Admiral) just to fight a single Emperor and his fleet. Kaido pretty much exceeds the scale of power used to gauge most pirates and no one would dare cross him. Pirates like Kaido were labeled as Emperor due to the fact that they have several pirate crews following them.
