You would gain so so many points in these playthroughs if you followed the capital rule. Outside of Europe and NA if you have no reason to believe it isn't the capital, always go with the capital. Not only are they often big and well covered relative to the rest of the country(such as how you could have had Phnom Penh easily), but they are also often well centralized so even if you are wrong you are hedged anyway(such as the first Indonesia round). This is really useful when you are competing with others who will get the country but might try to get fancy.
Russia is so big it changes what side of the road you drive on (thats the hint for when you are extreme East, they have left side drive in some of those areas)
