Amazing re-imagination of the already beautiful Silent Picture by the mau5. The vocals are just incredible, and I know this song will always be something to fall back on when I'm going through hard times. Grabbitz really did the original song justice. I love it :)

I aspire to learn that guitar solo one of these days. It's so wonderful; it hits me in the feels. Mixed with the Grabbitz vocals and the Deadmau5 strums from Silent Picture... One of my absolute favourite edits of a song.

I knew it sounded so familiar, I didnt know this was the edit before the final edit dannnggg niicceee. Kinda pissed I wasnt here for the beginning of this, anyways one thing I can say, is that the Let Go has 2 edits, deadmau5 mastered final piece, and Grabbitz' own edit on the album We Are Friends, Vol 7, for those that didnt know :x

I much prefer this combination of added vocal track to deadmau5's instrumental over the version where deadmau5 took these vocals and made a song around it
I'm very pleasantly surprised by deadmau5, I thought he mostly did electronic instrumentals.
This is an absolutely awesome track, it has such a beautiful flow to it, great choice of instruments and very well constructed.
I just heard the instrumental, it definitely needed vocals, sounds so much more melodic and a much better feel to it.

Coming back to this after many years, it's a song that can very comfortably be called a "masterpiece". Really reminds me of Nine Inch Nails' Ghosts album.
it's funny you say that, cause deadmau5 has said many times he's inspired by nine inch nails, or that a lot of his melodic sensibilities come from trent reznor
@@i_so_late that makes a lot of sense. I hear a lot of Trent Reznor in deadmau5 and vice versa, the rich textures and ominous atmosphere are very much a common trait. There's a few pieces on the Watchmen soundtrack that could easily belong on mau5trap.

Joel also posted an interesting video on his Instagram. He's actually doing a progressive house version of it, which makes me more hyped
sam E I listened to the actual release... and it brings this version down. The tempo, style, rhythms of Silent Picture coupled with these vocals make the piece come to life and seem as if it were watching someone it loved just walk away. The prog house version is too hard.
But perhaps the house embodies the after-effect emotions. Sort of the anger, anguish and pain of when you lose someone and the realization that the bond will never form again. I imagine some pounding their fist against the wall and breaking down.
This version is the event. The prog version is the memory.
Blood For The Bloodgoat is the progressive house version of this. I don't really like the progressive house version. It just doesn't sound good so far. This version is the best to me
