I remember when we stayed at the Robinson Hotel on Noonou Atoll, there was that same Soneva Hotel next door. So we enjoyed our reef, which was one of the best in our area, but when we passed by Soneva we were shocked by their reef. It shone like a topaz. I have not seen such a colour of water anywhere else. it is pitty that Soneva is almost inaccessible to the middle class. There was a chance during the pandemic when prices dropped a lot, but we didn't take it. Happy for you that you have the chance to stay in hotels like this and show them to us.

I just came back from Iru Fushi, having stayed in a private water villa. The Maldives is simply the most beautiful location on the planet - will be going back soon.
I think I’ve seen all your Maldives videos (cause unfortunately, that’s as close as I’ll ever get to that place) & I think the place that was my favorite wasn’t even on this list😂. I knew the two Soneva’s would be your Top 2, although their bohemian aesthetic & decor wasn’t really my thing - of course I’d still stay there in a second. Despite their small room size, I think my fav was the Ritz Carlton, almost for their brunch selection alone 😁. Anyway, thanks so much for all your great videos & please keep up the great work! You do a fantastic job of taking people to places they can only dream of ever going👊✌️

I am lucky to know some hotels in the Maldives. Some are on this list (Soneva Jani and Reethi Rah) and others are not. In the top 10 should be Gili Lankanfushi and Kudadoo. Undoubtedly!!! My opinion... Nice videos. Thanks!!!

What beautiful memories you must have with all these travels🙂 Was wondering with your extensive travels, do you use travel agents to book connecting transports or you book it yourself? especially in countries where you travel to different resorts within the same country.
Maldives are beautiful for everyone, there are also Resorts and small Hotels 50 € a day closser to male, mhaa fushi its a payable Island with some Hotels on it!
If you have to rank them, what would be the criteria you use for judging? like, price, food, service, etc. I would love to know their score and who end up the top.
I can't believe waldorf astoria maldives Ithaafushi didn't make it to the top 10. also, Ritz carlton maldives & Patina deserves an honourable mention 😅
Waldorf Astoria Maldives, Ritz-Carlton Maldives and Patina Maldives are 100% man-made islands. Therefore, I did not include them in the list (despite the fact that they are great resorts).
I would be more than happy to stay at any one of the resorts that you have ever presented to us in the Maldives, and I'm sure at any one of the ones you haven't yet. Sure, some of them are far more spectacular than the others, But,....it's Maldives! How bad can ANY of them be??!!

From Eurpe you take Emirates to DXB and a short stopover at the airport and off you go to MLE. But Maldives like we see in this video is extremely expencive... 1 week for 8 people at Soneva Jani in May 2025 cost close to 200 000 USD. So its a no thank for me
@@gibbs1966 Yea, unfortunately it's way too expensive even for the "once in a lifetime splurge" type of deal. You can still have a luxury holidays in Thailand or Bali, often in the same resort chains (Soneva, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Six Senses) and it's many times cheaper. But it's not gonna be the ultimate secluded island retreat, that is only possible in Maledives, hence the price tag.

Soneva Jani has the largest island (including magnificent white sand beaches) of all the resorts in the Maldives. The resort's two jetties are attached the north and south side of this island 😉
