Welcome to the Maldives series 🇲🇻 If you are new here, feel free to subscribe to follow the journey. There will be more videos from the Maldives 🙏 Here is my next video about my first day exploring Malé, Maldives capital: ruclips.net/video/ZBz9cMCzn-w/видео.htmlsi=hqLt_FDFxN2H0Fif
26:27 - This is definitely not, what the Maldives are well known of. We had been to Hulhulmale as well and stayed very close to the "beach" (which is not a proper beach) which you show in the video. A lot better beaches you will have on Maafushi or even better in Gulhi Island. By the way, ... Male, the capital is also worth a visit, where you can meet many differnt people, have a lot of reataurants and so on. Enjoy your vacation, Ken, but please: be more prepared, when you arrive at a new country, so that you will not miss important things !
i was happy to see you interact with the elderly at the Maldives buying food from them, i was happy that you enjoyed the Maldives (i am a fellow maldivian im about 15yrs old ) hope you had a great time
I always love the spontaneous nature of your travels. Going to countries kindof spoiler-free really amps up the excitement and everything you experience feels more authentic.
Thank you Ken, I loved this video, and yes, 100 for business class is well worth it! Maldaives looks fantastic, and loved you eating the local foods! Right ON!
Ken, I can obviously see that you are super elated and captivated by the sea upon your arrival in the Maldives.Who wouldn't.😄Just so unexpected about getting your only pair of shoes wet.🙄Will be looking forward to more of your island hopping soon.Enjoy!😎💕🇲🇾
I was in the Maldives about 25 years ago. Our tour guide explained to us that all the islands of the Maldives would be under water in 20 years because of climate change. Yet here we are.
Yes. Climate change has caused a lot of damage to Maldives like beach erosions. There were theories that climate change would affect Maldives and would be under water in few years. And that’s one of the reasons Hulhumale’ was build from scratch. To prevent beach erosion we have taken precautions which have led us to save our islands.
I always thought Maldives was a place for couples and honeymooners but thanks for showing you can go there alone and not stay in a expensive resort but see the true Maldives
Wow! this is going to be interesting series to watch! thank you for bringing us to beautiful Maldives, something new something unique and yeah I feel happy watching this 1st Episode! The kuih is similar to what we have here in Malaysia too, really interesting, waiting for the next ep.! ✌
Very nice! I hope to visit the Maldives soon, next year. Good choice for your aeroplane seat. You can recline comfortably without worrying about who's behind you.
The green one is bread cake; “paan” is dhivehi word for bread 😊Looking forward for part 2! Happy to know you had a good first impression 👍(I am from Maldives)
Wow Ken never thought you are now in Maldives. Yes beautiful Maldives. Please explore the island, snorkel or scuba diving if u can & swim with the Mantra. Been to Maldives in 2023. Enjoy Ken❤
Ken im from Maldives living in Hulhumale' its a surreal experience to see you here and explore Hulhumale'. i hope you have a fantastic stay here in the Maldives.
Maldives is one of top tourist destinations in the world. It has been on my bucket list for quite a long time . After seeing your video I can't wait to fly there! And I must visit this paradise as quick as possible because there is a rumor goes like Maldives might be submerge in the future due to climate change!
Ken....my first time watching your video! I haven't finished yet but you did something I do. I always tap on the side of the plane 3 times when I get onboard.....been doing that for years! Just thought it was funny you do the same. Cheers!
Beautiful beautiful place on earth! You might need to buy a pair of flipflop when walking on the island. It happened to me as well this July when I visited Qing Dao china, there was unexpected thunderstorm all of sudden, my asics shoes got totally wet, I tried to use hairdryer to dry out when returned to my hotel. It helped a bit, but there's a smell on the shoes. I had to threw them away eventually after my traveling. Looking forward to your next video about Maldives.
Lovely to follow you in Maldives. I visited a few years ago Hulhumale, and local islands Rashdoo and Ukulhas. Really enjoyed it :D enjoy Maldives, snorkeling and lovely local food
I see you haven't been to Japan yet. I would love to see your experiences in there. You show the best experiences when traveling the Asian countries so it makes me curious to see it through your eyes.
So raising the sand from the sea in order to construct an artificial island and build hotels on top has been replicated around the world. Varadero Cuba has been expanded by a 50 kilometers peninsula, similarly Punta Cana Dominican Republic has built an artificial stretch of land called Bavaro, Hong Kong has erected an artificial island and has built a new airport on top and there are many other places around the world that have embarked upon a similar venture. Thank you very much and enjoy your evening 😊😊
Batik was Malindo Air. I have fond memories of the lounge and the airline overall. $150 per night for that room is crazy expensive. That Island, first impression gives Malay vibes.
Thanks for sharing this Batik Airlines which l haven't tried yet. Well, l think the fare is worth it as food and drinks are served, comfy seat and good service. Thanks again, Ken. Going to join you for the exploration in Maldives 💪😀
4:13 little correction, Batik Air is Indonesian airlines, the airline you are using here is called "Batik Air Malaysia" formerly known as Malindo. Both of them own by Lion Group.
Oh finally u r in Maldives🇲🇻.. My experience of Maldives was not very fascinating after landing there coz I found out you have nothing in maldives only explore water water water and if your pocket is heavy you can explore resorts which maldives is famous... So for me it was a ok ok trip
Awesome video Ken, I have been wanting to go to the Maldives for a long time 😊 Hopefully you got some flip flops while your shoes dried. We call them thongs in Adelaide South Australia where I'm from. My only shoes in Thailand, and Indonesia for the last year were thongs I go everywhere in them, trekking, shopping, restaurants, flying from country to country. Easy and waterproof 😂 I'm looking forward to the rest of this series 😊
Oh gosh, Maldives is indeed an amazing and beautiful country....very clean, well maintained and the beach is incredibly gorgeous....fine white sand and lovely turquoise water. Great of you to try those street food snacks and cakes. Oh boy, so sad to see your shoes are ruined by the waves. Wanna share how you solved it? 😅 Anyway, a huge thanks for bringing Maldives to us. You and your channel are such a gift to us all. Bravo, Ken.
I am so envious.. very beautiful place... pls walk barefoot on the beach. It is good for the health.. it's a called "earthing" or "grounding" The water is telling you to walk barefoot... 😅 that's why it splashed you and wet your shoes. Shukriya is Thank you in Hindi... same as Danyavad..😊

I wrote about my life experiences in Maldives while worked there for 5 months.
cant forget my trip to maldives, beautiful island!!
Centara Ras Fushi Resort one of the best!
This is a very relaxing place
interesting thing i notice is next to the old couple selling snacks there is a triple storey car park but i don't see cars using it
I saw that too. I guess there is still space to park elsewhere on that island.
This island looks very peaceful here.
