That be one hefty bit of bark and plank. Nice looking product though. Whoever ends up with it should be more than happy. Stay safe and warm now that the hawk is bring the talons back again.
We have been running that mill for about 4 years and we havent replaced any yet the v belts were used when we put them on We are getting ready to change them because we are going to change to a bigger pulley Thanks for watching
Here in Ontario when the basswood grows the heart is around the size of a pencil. It’s all our white wood. We hardly ever see a large heart like that log there.
We thank you for your concern, we might wear them sometimes if it is cold, but we prefer not to for safety reasons. We are afraid we might get caught up in something. Thanks for your comments and for watching.
I hate behind the saw mill shots. I can't see the wood character or it's thickness. If you must shoot this shot, please don't make it soooooooooo long. Thank you for all the work you do to make these videos.
We are sorry you don't like the shots from behind the mill. We have a walk-around cameraman so the viewers can get all the aspects of the mill, the mechanics of the mill, and what goes on around the mill. I hope you can find it in your heart to overlook the scenes you do not like. Thank you for watching.
That is interesting to hear that they are banned in a lot of areas. All sawmills are dangerous. We try to be as careful as we can, and we really don't have the funds to buy new equipment. Thanks for watching.
Wood carvers like basswood. Cut some in 4x4 and 4x6 for the bird carvers. Short pieces are just fine. Thanks for sharing.

We might harvest such a log, but the resulting log will get sold to a broker. Bass is not a money tree.

Why don’t you get New equipment ? These sawmills are Dangerous ! Banned in most Areas ! Has No Edger blades or log turning feature ?
@@Woodburner100exactly it takes a knowledgeable and professional person to run old machinery!

Yeah! You boys need to go buy a new safer mill. You're going to get hurt running that antique death trap😂
