At 19 years old my grandfather bought a sawmill kit in 1949, it was a belt driven system with a stationary circular saw that has a large carriage that runs the logs through the saw. and to this day we still run that old mill, we sawed a bunch of hemlock lumber that we used both for my barn and will be using on a new shed, very cool old tech. the mill you guys got will be amazing!
Years ago, I delivered a Jonserred chain saw mill in the middle of a guys property. First thing he did was mill locust posts for a shed to cover his mill and then he proceeded to mill the wood to build his house.
Congratulations on the 2520. I have had a 1620 Timberking for a few years now and the additional features would be awesome, I just couldn't afford them at the time. I like the TimberKing sawmill and their service is second to none. I had to call for a replacement drive belt and they replaced under warranty which I did not expect. When you call, you are talking to the experts and not a call center somewhere creating a call ticket and you have to wait a few days for an answer. I have called them sitting on the sawmill in the field and had the answer without missing a beat on the job i was doing. Everyone I have talked to is very knowledgeable. They even helped me on how to saw extremely small log like a telephone pole. The really small stuff is harder for me to deal with on the sawmill than the big stuff. Enjoy!
This is the video you burn to a DVD and keep on the shelf with all of the other shop manuals! Lots to remember and I know I always forget some detail "what did that guy say again?" Look forward to the lumber videos!
This is the exact machine that I would like to get. The staff at Timber King/Woodmaster are the best. Even to us tire kickers... Great video, congrats on getting a great machine
Good video and job really nice mill nice they showed you everything. I have a woodland Mills 130 max there was know way I could buy a mill like that. I hope Dad gets a lot of enjoyment out of it. Aron you and your brothers may have to milk the cows for a while first 3 months I sawed every day I could. All of you take care be safe and well. Mom may want to run it to.
Almost all of Jonas S's sons have cut logs for me in the past ten years. I was telling Sam the other day that you guys were getting a new mill and he was wondering what kind I guess now I know what to tell him LOL
I had a Cooks MP32 back in the day when i was still farming. I lived about 1 1/2 Hrs. away from Cooks so it was a logical choice for me. I loved sawing but I also had 4 chicken houses, about 70 beef cows and row cropped cotton so after letting it sit for about a year while busy with the money makers I sold it. Sometimes i wish i had sold everything but the cows and saw. Enjoy watching the videos. Look forward to the sawmill videos now. A lot different from South Alabama. lol
My best advice for you would be to join the Forestry Forum. There you can get true and honest advice and real world experiences about sawing the right way and help in any situation you might find yourselves in. I personally bought a Cook's AC36, but TK was my second choice. I'm located only 3.5 hours from Cook's. Be careful and keep safety your first priority. Good luck!! Sawdust is adictive!
That’s a good investment for your farm you have plenty of trees that you cut when you are cleaning up the woods and fence lines. You can always use the lumber on the farm. Great video god bless
With all the firewood you cut and the real nice stands of trees you have it only makes sense to have a portable mill. When needing hardwood lumber for your barns and other projects, that machine is easily worth the investment.
Congratulations on your TimberKing 2520 mill. This is the Cadillac of all mills. My farm is just 30 min north of TimberKing in KC, and I’ve just recently added the TK2220 sawmill to my farm. I deliver these mills all over the country for TK, set up and teach ppl how to run them. The 2520 is one of my favorites to operate. Looking forward to seeing videos of you all sawing on your farm.
For the money ya paid it it's well worth it cuz I do see it as a great side business especially cuz I bet alot of people would love to have some of there wood cut on site instead of going to building supply store
You folks should have plenty of raw material with the wooded areas around the farm. The representative gave an impressive hands-on tutorial for operation of the mill. It will be a learning curve getting used to all the features, etc. The band type blade is sure different than the circular blades on local Amish sawmills in our area.
That’s an awesome mill!!!! We bought a Timber King 2000 about ten years ago. We made the same trip you guys did. They are a great company. No issues with our mill except the usual wear parts.congrats!!!!!
I think this will be a great addition for your Farm!! You guys are so mechanically inclined, and obviously have plenty of trees available to mill!! Very best of luck on your new venture, as it appears to be very well designed, and constructed!! Thanks again, Vic!!
How good is your new mill fantastic I worked in our timber mill in the south East of South Australia when I was young thourly enjoyed it I can't wait to see what you mill great video cheer 😊😊
I worked for a farmer in Indiana who also (unfortunately for me), had his own timer mill which he used for cutting railroad ties. It was old and archaic. I hated that thing. If he had a mill like yours, I might even have enjoyed cutting the odd railroad tie.
Nice machine congratulations on getting one I hope everything works out well for you have a good day stay safe stay healthy stay happy And we'll catch you on another one
I'm a regular viewer and I'd like to welcome you to the sawmill family the timber king looks like a pretty good mill I myself own a wood-mizer mill I've built many buildings on my small farm and saved thousands of dollars milling my own lumber So Congratulations!!
That is one nice portable saw. Friend has a very old portable saw but it is all manual, always have to do all the calculations manually, no computer control on it.
Milk prices are not that good, they have very nice machinery for a small dairy operation. Two skid steers, two very nice JD tractors, just got a new baler, there has to be another income stream, now a 100k for a mill. Great operation very thrifty, they take very good care of their equipment. Enjoy watching this channel, along with One Lonely Farmer.
Wow, very nice machine! As a smaller Woodmizer owner I'll give you my 2 cents. Take your time with the learning curve, it will make the future more enjoyable. Always be aware of the blade path. It's very easy to forget to lower the log stops, I know. Don't try and get more out of a blade than it's willing to give. Change it when needed. it will keep the frustration level down.
We have the new York style tiestalls . We took the water out of the neck rail and ran all new pex in the ceiling directly to new farmer boy ag drinker cups .
You guys were only about 45 minutes from where I live . I don't own a mill but looked at the TimberKings when I was thinking about getting one. They're in an industrial park off of Hwy435 and Front Street. That looks like a really nice mill, and I'm sure it will serve you all well for many years.
Nice addition to the farm it will come in handy when you you need framing lumber and sheathing boards, square fence post etc, nice useful purchase guys good luck with it George.
I am sure that you will find many uses for this machine and will become very competent operators. But, wow. it looks pretty complicated to an totally saw mill clueless person like myself. From what all the comments are saying, evidently it isn't that bad. Congratulations and good future use of your mill.
Well that was very educational to see and very informative. Thanks for letting us see a small demonstration and I can’t wait to see it more on the farm. God bless
Congrats on the sawmill. That's one he'll of a machine to start sawmilling with. My brother and I started sawmilling at 16 with a Lynn economize. A small manual mill that u push on a track to cut logs. After 3 yrs of that we got a deal on a 94 woodmizer lt40 hydraulic mill. We put about 4000 hrs on that and fixed nearly everything on it. Last summer we got a newer mill a 2018 i think. lt35 hydraulic with set works and have cut thousands of BF of it with it for our lumber kiln. We have a board edger. 25" planer, and a logosol 4 head molder for making shiplap and paneling. U guys will be able to cut all the lumber and beams need for rebuilding hay racks and cut alot of trailer decking to sell
We've got a Norwood but I can see some things I like about your system and a couple of things that concerned me based on years of using. I think you'll really like it. Good service is a key!
Wow ! what an amazing bit of kit, cant wait to see you using it. I love the mill,I woud just have to have a fully mechanical system, I could never cope with the computer part ! Thanks for sharing yout trip.
Always thought my own mill would be nice, but I always work alone at my place, and have gotten to the point it's lost appeal. Looks like a great unit, that Kubota engine is a long way from steam powered mills! 😂 Great video, Timber King should pay y'all for using this for advertising!
Curious if the saw mill is bucket list item your finally could pencil out financially and available time or if you are buying it to prep for a large building project or new business adventure into larger scale furniture building? I was also wondering if the motor controller has option for inputs which could be programed for an idle/max power switch to idle down without having to repeated tap the up and down the engine speed. Thinking the repeated taps to a button that is exposed to the weather. Just a suggestion to you and Timberking.
Congratulations on the new mill. Looking forward to seeing some great video of this beast in action. Are you going to build a permanent location for it or leave it mobile? Guess we will find out soon enough. Congrats again.
Got a woodland mill all manual but it sure is fun to see how much lumber you can get out of a log that might not look so good. I think you will love it looking forward to some good mill videos
Beautiful mill. You are going to love learning what you can do with that mill. My first log has sat in my shop for at least 20 years. I was so thunder struck with the 12 by 12 oak cant I pulled it off and have used it as a bench all these years.
I have a Woodmizer LT40 wide sawmill. What I really like about the Woodmizer is that the frame doesn't have to be actually level, just level and braced to itself. I'd be curious for you guys to talk about yor research process and why you settled on the TimberKing.
You men are great mechanics. To keep the sawdust mess down I suggest a vacuum system with a used cyclone from a feed mill having the sawdust drop into a removable bin or trailer to keep the work site clear of sawdust, to remove the fire hazard also. Just my two cents.
As far as I'm concerned you got the best. If I were to get one it would be a timber King. I think I would get a debarker on it. Thanks for the videos.

Awesome machine !!! Now when you need lumber around the farm you have a saw that will produce>>>>>>>>congrats !!!!
That's quite a nice unit you got there George. Congrats, looking forward to see it in action
This is the video you burn to a DVD and keep on the shelf with all of the other shop manuals! Lots to remember and I know I always forget some detail "what did that guy say again?" Look forward to the lumber videos!
I’d say you purchased a beast , it should serve you well. Congrats George
This is the exact machine that I would like to get. The staff at Timber King/Woodmaster are the best. Even to us tire kickers... Great video, congrats on getting a great machine
Yeah that was a very impressive walk thru and serious unit. I’m in love.
So happy for you guys. Your Dad is “wired” for one of these saw mills. Surprised he’s waited this long! Enjoy
Check out a square to round plastic pipe adapter. To get sawdust closer to the ground . Thanks
Wow! Gierok lumber company coming soon.
That is a big mill. I guess you guys are going into the timber business. Always good to have a side hustle.
Looking forward to the videos😊
We've had a 1600 since we bought it back in the 90s. Ours maxes out at 17'
Almost all of Jonas S's sons have cut logs for me in the past ten years. I was telling Sam the other day that you guys were getting a new mill and he was wondering what kind I guess now I know what to tell him LOL

That is a heavy duty looking mill .there will be great video,s with it in use
Great purchase. You use the sawdust for calf bedding. Can not wait to see it in use

Nice Christmas present. You got it home just in time. There's lots of snow now as of this morning.
That’s a good investment for your farm you have plenty of trees that you cut when you are cleaning up the woods and fence lines. You can always use the lumber on the farm. Great video god bless
Nice purchase, It looks like a good unit.
I have a Woodmizer sawmill and I like to use a small paint brush and ATF to oil the chains. Less mess and the ATF only goes where you want it.
Looking forward to sawmill videos
I can already see that that saw mill will be a very useful tool on the farm.
Lumber, woodworking, land management, income generation - no way to run out of uses for a TimberKing on a farm!
With all the firewood you cut and the real nice stands of trees you have it only makes sense to have a portable mill. When needing hardwood lumber for your barns and other projects, that machine is easily worth the investment.
Welcome home. i miss you. Your brother did a good job milking the cows 🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
We had a Frick sawmill. Had to set foot posts and rails. Took awhile but she was quite level. Had a Chevy motor that drove the belt.
Liked the video, a lot of valuable instruction. Look forward to your videos using the sawmill.
Congratulations on your TimberKing 2520 mill. This is the Cadillac of all mills. My farm is just 30 min north of TimberKing in KC, and I’ve just recently added the TK2220 sawmill to my farm.

Looking forward to seeing videos of you all sawing on your farm.
Wow alot to learn Its great to have the video to fall back too
That is one sweet sawmill!! Very heavy duty. Will last a very long time. Thanks 😅.
very VERY heavy duty. Or as we say, Built Like a Tank.
Hope you had a good trip. Looks a very interesting set up. All the best 🇬🇧.
Wow! It is the sawmill you have been talking about! What a road trip!
That is the nicest sawmill I have ever seen for residential customers.
This is one of the nicest compliments we've seen in RUclips comments sections.
For the money ya paid it it's well worth it cuz I do see it as a great side business especially cuz I bet alot of people would love to have some of there wood cut on site instead of going to building supply store

Welcome to KS. Couple hours south of KC.
That’s an awesome mill!!!! We bought a Timber King 2000 about ten years ago. We made the same trip you guys did. They are a great company. No issues with our mill except the usual wear parts.congrats!!!!!
Good vid. I enjoyed the trip for your new piece of equipment
I think this will be a great addition for your Farm!! You guys are so mechanically inclined, and obviously have plenty of trees available to mill!! Very best of luck on your new venture, as it appears to be very well designed, and constructed!! Thanks again, Vic!!
Really enjoyed watching this. Something I have never seen up close. You will enjoy using that.
I started with a Norwood sawmill and upgraded to a Woodmizer. The Timberking is a great mill too. I have a friend that has one. They are lots of fun.
Your farm was in good hands !
Timber King has a long history. They started over a hundred years ago as Belsaw.
How good is your new mill fantastic I worked in our timber mill in the south East of South Australia when I was young thourly enjoyed it I can't wait to see what you mill great video cheer 😊😊
Nice !! waiting for videos on this.

Hello awesome machine. We have alot to saw up here. I hope to get something going someday also. Enjoyed your video have a great day.
No way! That’s awesome! I have a 1220 Timberking that I have used for about 10 years. Works great but everything is manual.
That is one nice portable saw. Friend has a very old portable saw but it is all manual, always have to do all the calculations manually, no computer control on it.
I have a timber king 1600 good and reliable. I like the auto log turner on your new toy.
You guys are good people I hope your new machine works out well for you deserve it
Wow!! Milk prices must be good! That’s quite the investment

Nice looking unit. Will be waiting to see you guys using it. Congrats on your new purchase.
I do not know anything about sawmills, but I know to come to your farm if I need help 😂😂😂😂😂😂Great Video Aaron and George.
thank you
good for you guys cant wait to see in action at the farm cheers
Are going to be doing that as a side business? That looks to be a top of the line product.
We have the new York style tiestalls . We took the water out of the neck rail and ran all new pex in the ceiling directly to new farmer boy ag drinker cups .
Good luck with the new mill. I look forward to the videos. Looks like a formidable piece of equipment that can benefit your families.
If you haven’t watched his RUclips channel is
TC Sawmills. He’s based out of norther Wisconsin. He’s an expert on the Timberking Sawmills.
Very nice sawmill 👍🏾 congrats on your purchase!
it is beautiful. I wish it serves you well.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO GUY'S 😊
Wow. I hope you took notes.
Nice new toy! You're going to give the Amish a run for their money!

Congratulations on the new mill. My dad and I have a woodmizer lt35 hydraulic. Timberkings are good mills also.

From what all the comments are saying, evidently it isn't that bad. Congratulations and good future use of your mill.
We have a TimberKing model for every sawyer - hobbyists to professionals. And the training is top-notch (as you saw in the video).
Well that was very educational to see and very informative. Thanks for letting us see a small demonstration and I can’t wait to see it more on the farm. God bless
What all do you plan on doing with your own saw? Mill your own? Custom work have projects to do in the near future? Looks like a good unit

Your new sawmill is like a great, big, table saw. Very nice. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
Congratulations on the new mill. Looking forward to seeing some great video of this beast in action. Are you going to build a permanent location for it or leave it mobile? Guess we will find out soon enough. Congrats again.
Super excited for this new addition to your farm! Can’t wait to see all the adventures you’ll have with it.
Great looking sawmill
Got a woodland mill all manual but it sure is fun to see how much lumber you can get out of a log that might not look so good. I think you will love it looking forward to some good mill videos
The T K looks like a well built unit. Look forward to see how it works for you guys. God bless ☺️👍
Very good mills
Absolutely awesome sawmill. I enjoy sawing lumber as well

First order of business. Saw lumber to build a sawmill shed. 😂
