Any idea why my mod isn’t Showing up when I search it in the workshop , but I can open the launcher and click open in steam and it brings me to it? This is making me unable to download it onto my host
search for either your username or the name of the mod, I've been through this. I renamed all my mods to one name but a couple will only show if I search the exact mod name.
in the last video on this, you renamed the PBO after you copied it. is this not needed now? just was kinda a safeguard against the double PBO error? -and a follow up from SirTobils question, is an xml and all the extra stuff not needed as the classnames and such are already in the PBO?.. you just have to know them?
ok so yes, i tend to rename pbos in server packs just to stop the double name error, 2 pbos of the same name conflict and crash the server, and no the xml's dont HAVE to be included in the mod things like the class names are in the pbo, its wise to add them if your going to let other people load the mod onto there server, but if its just for your server dont include them and keep them backed up safe somewhere
Love your vids man and they are a huge help but now I have a question. I've followed the instructions bit by bit but I'm getting an error message when i load the mod on my local server for testing. It's saying client has a pbo that is not part of the server. I've made sure that I've gotten permission from every mod I've packed and made sure I removed all mods I've packed from my batch file and I'm at a loss and I don't know what's happening.
sounds like you have not loaded the mod corrcetly into the server or have accidently left one of the repacked mods loaded, (2 of the same pbo's on the server will cause this error)
Dave, can you please... Pleaseeee if you know how.. make a tutorial on how to edit a weapon, or make a custom version of a weapon! I'm on a server where there is base guns, then "admin, advance, master and ultimate' tier guns, all the same weapons just seem to do more damage... How do you do this!!
pretty simple repeat the process from the start , so pull all the pbos from your server pack add the new pbo , sign them , create the key head into publisher and choose your server pack on left , and update ;)
Hello Dave I noticed you use the DayZ launcher from steam and not DZSA launcher after following your video and making the server pack I noticed my server will no longer show up on the DZSA launcher after adding the server pack but only on steam which means less people would notice the server to come play any ideas why that is?
sorry i missed this comment .. yeah go to the dzsa website and input your ip and port on the check server page .. it will appear in dzsa within 30 mins

If I’m using a mod with a files with items and then I repack that mod - what’s happens to those files ? Same for the mods that autogenerate a files in your profile files ?
Hey man , I was retexturing a red falcon helicopter . everything in the pbo is correct and in the way red falcon wants it to be , I am not able to create a bisign of the file i am not sure why
Hey Dave, Great video, But got a question, I jumped the gun and made a serverpack containing lbgroups and few other mods and it all works good, But i've now found new mods that i got permission to repack, And id like to add them to my existing serverpack, How do I go about adding additional mods to my existing serverpack? When I added some and published, It never gave my server option to upgrade my mod, So the added mods did not work
so make sure the sub folders are correct .. so in this case server pack would have 2 folders inside 1 addons and 1 keys .. pbo's with bisigns in addons and bikey in keys buddy
not really no , although its worth remembering that new players will have to download said server pack, a common example of this is the deer isle map which stands at 10gb
ah ok, just was on a server that kept crashing, all mods checked and ok so they said must be in serverpack.... anyway they ended up cutting the 4gb pack in half and the crashes stopped, prob just a coincidence then thanks @@every1knowsdave

For me, I had that problem because I had not set up steam guard. I was publishing fine for months, and then "public" was no longer available. They had added the requirement a few months ago, and apparently it finally caught up to me.

There's a good many mod creators in the workshop that are helpful too, given you ask the appropriate questions. And people are always adding helpful links and scripts to the mod pages. DayZ server building community is awesome.
@@RustyBongz well it is kinda the most toxic game ever , IN GAME , moment we all leave were pleasant and polite people (mostly) and we all love the game and support it .. the community is the only reason its still popular after 10 years

sounds like you have not loaded the mod corrcetly into the server or have accidently left one of the repacked mods loaded, (2 of the same pbo's on the server will cause this error)
When unpacking the loading screen (which I watched your video to do) do you only need the PBO or do you need the data,scrpts,pboprefix folders too ?
if unpacking from pbo , you need them all, if just adding to a server pack just the pbo

if its just for your server no just the client side .. if your sharing it for public use it will need both
