hi can i get abit of help plzs i am trying to do a load screen but i keep running in to this problem with the addon builder this is what i keep getting. Build result Build Failed. result code =1 CfgConvert task failed. did it step by step but i keep getting the build failed can i get some help plze
With the Play Button i got it to work by takeing away just the C and Dont remove the "#" it needs that for the button to work and adding an Extra _ so it looks like this "_PLAY_" did not crach for me i hope this helps others. Also if you know the lay system you can change the Backgound Colors of the Buttons like "Settings" etc
Dave you never showed how to remove the twitter line in the script file or where on the server to load it. I hope you are still reading comments. I really wanted this to work.
@@every1knowsdave I reinstalled it and the error was still there. Tried to verify the files in steam, tried turning off steam cloud etc. I'm lost for ideas now :(

It gives me this error: "Connecting Failed 0x00010001. Could not connect to the server because it is unreachable." and I can't connect to the server through the menu anymore. It started giving me this error after I set up the menu. What Can I do? Thanks.
Hey, my workbench is not launching anymore after setting the source data directory and restarting, but crashing during the loading with the unhandled exception. Any ideas how to get it to launch again?
For some reason its all working but it crashes my server whenever i leave. The main menu comes up and the music works but it always makes my server unreachable
I was able to get it working. Added _ to each side of the play button and it works perfect. Not sure why but that solved the issue. Appreciate the videos to make all our lives a little easier. Look forward to more from you in the future.@@every1knowsdave
ah yes mine did this .. shut down the workbench, copy your image out of the folder .. delet the edds and png , add your png back in and reboot workbench
hello can you take a doubt about dayz mod? I saw in a video of the rearmed server that to access a safe zone you had to enter with a green smoke and you were teleported to a dark bunker, is there any configuration in dayz that makes the player teleport or any mod for this?

So I double checked everything to make sure I did it right and when I get to loading screen, and try to click play it says can't connect to server it's unreachable after I already was in the game when I loaded it from the dayz launcher
uhh for some reason after following all your steps. the mod is being held by steam to verify its contents? not sure why lol. either way i got it to work on my offline server!
@@every1knowsdave ok so news to everyone looking for expansion (idk why im trying to phase expansion out of my server as fast as i can) but their wiki doesnt ever get updated. the files they provide for custom loading screen are like 3 years old. had to go to the discord and someone sent me the right ones. it was literally just as easy as all of the other videos on it, but they dont ever update their wiki!! lol. thank you tho mate for the knowledge it was helpful
Your guide worked perfectly for me. My background is there and the music I chose is playing beautifully, but I'm having an issue with my Play button not working. When players press it to join the server they get "Server Unreachable", but joining the server directly from the launcher works as intended. So the server is absolutely reachable.. just not from the in-game menu for some reason. I am at a loss for how to go about fixing the issue. Any help would be appreciated!!
I figured it out. Problem was with constatns.c Your tutorial doesn't mention that we also need to edit the "static const string MMip" and "static const int MMport" values to reflect our own server's IP and Port, respectively. Seems like common sense now that I've figured it out, but for anyone who follows this guide EXACTLY as shown could miss it like I did!
after doing all the steps,. and everything is working on your server, and you notice the background still needs resized on the right side just a hair,. and your buttons or text on buttons need just a bit of resizing,. how can i fix it? or do i need to just do it all again, then delete previous from workshop? @every1knowsdave
do it all again im afraid, this time check the resolution of your image the number should be even , likely you will find there out by a few numbers causing it to not overlay correctly
@@every1knowsdave yes I have just resized the image a bit., and also resized buttons and text size in buttons and added my own music (made in 10 min on my iPhones garage band) added music to it and now it’s great.. except that the “home button” doesn’t do anything.. is there a way to set that button up to pop up another window as if it would be credits ., for example rename it from “home”, to “credits” and when window pops up., thank you credits to of course you, because you have helped me so much with your videos, and credits to myself and a couple others that have been working on my deer isle server.. if not I can go back in delete that button the start it all over with adding it to steam then to server..
the C_Play links to the stringtable in the language folder. Change the words ion there.

to change play text just spell it Play instead of PLAY.

As soon as I did what you said and changed setting to P drive, workbench crashes every time I launch it.
How can I reset it back to default?
copy files out - reinstall dayz tools i belive, then launch from steam .. they been real funny since last update

Solution was to dismount p drive so it did not try to read it, then reload, remove the faulty setting and re-mount p drive

Dont forget to set the right Port: 2302 and also the right server address in the scripts>3_Game> constatns.c!

Got it launching again by dismounting P drive.

maybe a mod conflict with a custom menu .. are you using things like expansion mod?
Maybe it was DayZ Underground mod

sounds like the resolution isnt correct , ensure it runs on a even resolution

that certainly is a mod , im unsure of which one .. dna keycards does have teleport doors you could use to teleport players to a safezone though

When i extract game data mount p drive open workshop change it p drive and restart it wont open the workshop anymore?
verify files , mount p with workshop already open ;) .. the workshop is VERY buggy
