Ever since I saw foldable screens this was the first use case for them IMO. This is trying to be a conventional watch too hard though. I think what they need to do with one of these is strap a screen with a width comparable to an iPhone 5 for it to be truly usable. Also, instead of a watch band, make a magnetic attachment with screens on it that can be easily and quickly removed from your wrist without moving parts and folded out to use as a phone immediately. Of course battery life will suffer in this design, so to solve that just have an elegant portable charger that just snaps onto the back and wirelessly charges the device while it's sitting on your desk, and you can just put it right back on your wrist when it is time to go somewhere.

You should do a lineup of the top smartwatches, and which phones to use with them. IE: Apple watch with the iPhone, Gear watch with the S10, and whichever works best for the Pixel, and Huawei. I've been looking to get a smartwatch for months now, but I have a Pixel and the only decent watches I can find to use with it are dated, and lose features when paired with it. For that reason I've actually been thinking of switching to the iPhone as my next phone, and hop back on the Apple train for simplicity. I haven't used an iPhone since the 4s back in highschool. The whole "Android is more customizable" is only a good argument for people who actually use it, and have time to make all those changes. A lot of people use the "It's more customizable" argument, yet they never use any of the differentiating features from Apple. They just use it like any other phone. In the 8 years I've been on android, I've not once went through everything and tried to make changes beyond the basic wallpapers and theme settings.
I've tried it in person at MWC and it's shit. Unresponsive and UI is garbage. Does not work as a phone at all, they just had to get the product out there. I have to admit though, the way the screen flexes is pretty cool, but it feels shit and fragile.

I can see a strong usage for this. I think a v.2 or v.3 would be better refined. I can see it being used by Law Enforcement, Military, Exploration etc. Where having a tablet, smartphone or laptop would be cumbersome. It just needs broader functionality and refinement

I would have loved if it had the interface of an actual smartphone, like using G-Mail and Hangouts and RUclips and stuff. Now obviously they would have to get creative to achieve that but if someone does it then that would be one thing to buy. The externals are as best as they could be however.

I have an s999! I love it because it limits my usage to talk and text only. Insta, youtube, app games available, but has cut my hours down to just talk n text and because of that have only needed to recharge it every 3 to 4 days because of low usage. Brain break especially from social media. This watch is now on my get next list after my s999.

I would have loved if it had the interface of an actual smartphone, like using G-Mail and Hangouts and RUclips and stuff. Now obviously they would have to get creative to achieve that but if someone does it then that would be one thing to buy. The externals are as best as they could be however.

@@benny7899 they already can handle sweat and rain, even if you spill water on them it's nothingness to worry about. Swimming however isn't just am everyday thing, if you want to go swimming with a phone make sure it's properly waterproof or make it waterproofing with a case
I have an s999! I love it because it limits my usage to talk and text only. Insta, youtube, app games available, but has cut my hours down to just talk n text and because of that have only needed to recharge it every 3 to 4 days because of low usage. Brain break especially from social media. This watch is now on my get next list after my s999.
