Due of all respect you don't look in a canary, s eyes to see if it will be a good singer, into a horses eye to see if he will be a good runner or a humans eye to see if he will be a good athlete, why pigeons. Sorry in my opinion a lot of hogwash. It's simple what makes a good breeder, a pigeon whose babies race well, by testing them. What makes a good racer a pigeon which races well, once again by testing them. I will stick to the basket theory. Yes your bang on mate load of rubbish guy I knew in Scotland ad a guy come to is loft wanting to know what to pair with what with the eye he picked one up put it down no good it ad just got a 5th Scottish Nat . We never flew with eye it's the basket
Having a bird with a Good Eye Sign doesn’t Guarantee it will Perform Well in Races but if Your lucky enough to find a Super Pigeon that also has a Nice Eye it’s a Good indicator that it will consistently produce offspring that are also excellent then it will be easy to spot those Rare 1 Percent Pigeons in Your Colony all You do is look at they eyes of the Youngsters and the ones that come out having similar eyes to the Successful Parent there’s a Good chance it will also consistently do Well and consistently pass on those Winning Genes, it will be a gift that keeps on giving My Friend.
i have followed eye sign for over 60 yrs and have had them all and what was suposed to be the breeder more often left nothing just a lot of mush get a life man and stop pedling that rubbish.
