It's impressive what these can do. You would also be surprised about what I can do with my Geo tracker. It has the same formula: light, compact, and not alot of ground clearance but it can offroad fairly well.
Hey! Love the content. I've always wanted to drive Hells Revenge, but haven't had a 4x4. I just got a Renegade Trailhawk about a month ago and was stoked when I saw this video. I'm definitely going to make a trip out there when I get more comfortable on the trails!
I have a trailhawk and want to upgrade my tires. Looking for a good set of all terrains that are not noisy on the highway your reccomendation would be greatly appreciated. Absolutely loved this video.
As long as it's not a front wheel drive version, the Renegade can go off-road. You just need to make some modifications. You will need a lift, proper tires, tow hooks etc. The Desert hawk and Trailhawk are already more lifted than the other models and also have skid plates and tow hooks. I chose the Trailhawk myself.
Needs more lift, real lockers and electronic disconnect sway bars. I'm working on the design now for a bigger lift beyond the 4" that Daystar offers without killing the CV axles. This thing is definitely more capable than first impressions suggest. Keep showing you can run with the big boys.
Nice Richard! Hope to see that coming up! I loved the Ren from the start, and it sure has some potential. Can't even imagin what this will become over the years, it's still such a young model. But it sure brings smiles on our faces and hopefully also alot of younger offroad-enthousiasts!
Nice work! No footage of the Devil's Hot Tub or even just the Carwash though? Hats off to you for running the trail in a Renegade, but you're sure you have some Wrangler owners eventually trolling you with "... you didn't actually finish Hell's Revenge..." for that very reason. There's always a few of them lol.
Good god my heart was beating like crazy with them steep climbs lol...this made me want to get the 2019 trailhawk even more xD Did you lift your jeep? If so by how much? What tires? Aired down to what? Disconnected? waaaaaaa lol Thanks for sharing man!
I have a TH and i can take mine down trails that big 4×4's just can't do. Not because the trail is particularly knarly but because the trail is too narrow and twisty.
Jesus Davith definitely need a Trailhawk with 4low and the approach angle helps. MUST have off road tires! Skid plates will help. Other than that slow and steady should be fine.
@@xXFreaknRicanXx I'll clarify: 4Low in the Ren Trailhawk simply holds the transmission in 1st gear. A Latitude 4x4 with the 2.4L can do the same by using the "manual" mode on the 9sp auto shifter. The Trailhawk does feature a slightly higher final drive ratio than the Latitude 4x4 2.4L, which does help apply a marginally greater amount of torque when crawling.
Love the renegade content, it is good seeing the little jeep running with the bigger boys.
I'm sorry but if Renegade can complete this Trail it should be considered a real Jeep
DDs man brother who you telling. The Jeep Renegade trailhawk keeps impressing me every time I watch one of these videos
Just watched several subarus do it! lol

Dude that trail ain’t shit... a stock Cherokee XJ with a limited slip or locker could have done that trail easy as shit...
NoahBones 12 I don’t see you out there doing it

Just got me a 2020 Renegade Latitude in October and so far I'm in love with this little ride. Can't wait to lift it and take a trail.
That trail is SICK! Looks like so much fun!
Awesome vid! We’re you in 4wd most of the time or in 2wd?

Question
Can any jeep renegade be off-road or does it have to specifically be the trail hawk

Because they’re smaller I imagine a Renegade Deserthawk is the PERFECT vehicle for this trail 👍🏽
What lift do you have on the desert hawk 2in or 4in?

Needs more power or a transfer case more than anything imo
Yup Jeep really should improve the 2.4 tigershark to a turbo for a lower ratio.

Thanks. 4"lift bfgoodrich Ko2s 245 /65/17. Aired down 15-20psi not disconnected.
@@xXFreaknRicanXx what lift?
OMG! How many miles?
Great video!
What drive mode worked the best? Rock vs mud vs sand?
Rock mode all day. Lots of hill descent aswell!
Cool vid, love the hood decal!
the deserthawks look sooooo nice especially in that tan/sand color

Think a stock 4x4 renegade can take on this trail?
Jesus Davith definitely need a Trailhawk with 4low and the approach angle helps. MUST have off road tires! Skid plates will help. Other than that slow and steady should be fine.
@@xXFreaknRicanXx so you didn't need the lift for this run?

Did you do hell’s gate? Didn’t see it.
davoncook no we did not get a chance there was to much trail traffic didn't want to wait had a large group!
At least he is driving faster than the other Jeep’s out there…anyone on a RZR can do hells revenge in 45 minutes…most Jeep’s take 4 hours.
