Beautiful from all angles, but more than its appearance is its inner aesthetic, the idea that travel must be an adventure in itself, a struggle between man, space and time. Did the same thing 30 years ago with my Plus 8 from the factory, a truly magic experience. Not quite as "plush" back then though 🙂 I hope you enjoy the car it looks fab. Wow what an amazing colour. Very special. We had a factory visit 25 years ago and it was terrific, we could go anywhere and chat to anyone, other than the prototype/ Le Mans area.
My wife and I wanted to do this when we lived in London in the 1970's. At the time the wait list for a new Morgan was about two years. We thought about putting our names down but knew we would be leaving the UK for the States before then, and realistically, we probably couldn't have afforded one then anyway. Fast forward several decades to 2017 and we finally bought a new car and picked it up from the factory. In our case though, it was a Volvo XC 90, built to our specs, and the pick up point was in Gothenburg, Sweden, so, granted our car isn't quite as exotic as yours, Julian, but getting a trip to Sweden from California was pretty special, and the handover, including a briefing beforehand with coffee and "cannelbuller" (cinnamon buns) in the waiting room, and a tiny single car showroom similar to yours was quite thrilling. Sheer elegance and beauty. When I worked for Midland Red I drove past the Morgan factory everyday and saw numerous Morgans all over Malvern daily . Your spec for the motor is up there with the very best I have ever seen ❤
Beautiful car and specification. I was at the factory this week with my Aero 8 having a hard top fitted. One of my favourite places to visit. The people are just as special as the cars.
Looks fantastic - the hardtop definitely finishes the car well. I bought the ex Plus Six press car in the summer. I drove mine out of the factory instead of the glass box which was also a great experience. The difference between Morgan and other brands is that 99.9% of the comments from people you meet are positive. Get some miles on it!
@@bertiewooster3326 I've got some sympathy with the 'too soft' view but you could say the same about most modern cars vs the previous generation. The roof not leaking, aluminium chassis, decent ride over the bumps and loads of power sucked me into Morgan for the first time so you are right. I wouldn't have touched an old one even though I've had loads of classics.
I'm not exactly a Morgan aficionado, but I do think it is wonderful that we in the UK still have a hand-built motor company. She looks great - I love her swooping lines and that body colour is exquisite! I hope you enjoy her for many years.😊
I agree about Morgan being uk based. Parts may come from around the world, yet the craft of creating these cars is based upon years of experience. It’s a joy to watch, and the car is a joy to drive.

We went up to the Morgan factory a few weeks ago in our new Plus 6 (bit topsy turvy I know, should have done this before we bought it). Ours looks very similar to the Plus 6 demonstrator that was sitting outside the handover bay (has a few more extras). Love ours and I hope you enjoy yours.

I wondered if something similar could be achieved with a blood red opposed to the purple? Also look at the materials for the super 3… you’d be surprised what you can spec that doesn’t appear on the configurator. If they do it on one car, they can normally find a way to do it on another.
Fantastic specs. I think the Porsche is technically a better car but will age pretty soon. A Morgan is a new classic car and will never age. I think you made the right choice opting for a Morgan. Congrats and make lots of happy memories with it.

I have a 992 4s. The refinement and accomplished nature of the Porsche is head and shoulders shoulders above a Morgan. It’s not a Morgan though. There is something very special about a Morgan….and the current engine and gearbox makes it insanely fast.

Mate!! Imported a 4/4 Competition to Aus in 1965, later visited the Morgan factory in 1976 and returned to Aus with a beautiful Plus 4. Drove the 4/4 from Perth to Sydney and now an Octogenarian Series 3 V12 E Type driver.My series1 E Type was better than the Series 3 but the Morgan was the best of the lot.Half your luck.
Almost bought a Series 1 etype. After driving it I decided my 1970 Austin Healy Sprite was better 😆. This new Morgan is something else. The only thing classic now is the look. What classic do you have now? Still the v12?

Your wife seems a little less impressed, I'm assuming for her its just a car! However there is something very special about a Morgan, and the colour choice is spectacular, and the cabin has that unique British luxury finish, that only a British car manufacturer like Morgan is capable of producing. Great to see someone genuinely excited getting his new car, i wish you many happy (hopefully trouble free!) miles. Whenever I take delivery of a new car, i am always nervous and apprehensive in case I find a fault, or it fails to live up to expectations, however clearly that was not a problem for you!
She pretends she’s not excited, yet she’s a bit of a petrolhead in her own rights. When I say petrolhead, she likes driving, hence her choice of an Eletra for her electric car. This is my second ‘new’ Morgan. The first one was a limited edition LM62, so I had less of a say on the specification and less emotional investment in the car itself. When i saw issues on the initial pick up (just bits of glue and loose fitting hard top), I was immediately disappointed. Then with the coolant and brake issues I just couldn’t get past it and the car lost it’s appeal. Hence the change. It wasn’t a problem with driving a Morgan, just that car. The Plus Six has been something else though. I know there will be bits to refine on my new purchase. Yet that’s the thing with a hand built car, everything needs a little check and a tighten a little more often. In between times it’s just miles of smiles

The Electra is a fantastic looking car, and along with the new four door GT - the Emeya, which should be on sale in next year, represent a great move by Lotus! I would have liked an Emeya myself, but at a projected price in excess of 100k was outside what I could spend. Beautiful car, a touch edgy and a step away from the purist's BRG but stunning. It will certainly stand out at the next Morgan cars and coffee. You're a lucky man.
No, it’s a good design. Additional traction through the drive wheels, narrower at the front for accurate turn in. A can of spray replaces the spare. The same in my Porsche and my Austin Healy Sprite. Why carry additional weight if you don’t have to.
Yep, the Plus Six replaced the 2022 LM62 Plus Four. As for Porsche, I firmly believe the Morgan could and should be considered a 718 rival. Although 911 is a different proposition altogether, which is why I have one of those too. Tell me more, 6Porsches, 20years of Morgan, there is more to that story I’m sure.
I owned 6 Porches in total, 3 911s I also enjoyed my 928 😀 I’m sure we will meet up sometime If you haven’t started at The Cottage in the Woods, you should give it ago. I love staying there, walking the hills & visiting the Factor. I’m booked in for May, for the Malvern Spring Fair.

It's lovely, but no spare (OK, I read below why) and are those steel wheels? Much prefer the trad Morgans for all their faults and harder work to drive (and I drive one).
I could have had a spare on a rack. They are alloys rather than steels. I completely understand about trad Morgans. I have an Austin Healy Sprite, which has a personality I can only assume old Morgans have. Although for me, this purchase was for a modern car with the trade off between performance and old school character.

What do the .1% say about it ? Ive had 4 mogs but no more their too soft now for a different type of driver / owner....
I haven’t driven the old Mogs, yet I can assure you the Plus Six is far from soft

Your wife seems a little less impressed, I'm assuming for her its just a car! However there is something very special about a Morgan, and the colour choice is spectacular, and the cabin has that unique British luxury finish, that only a British car manufacturer like Morgan is capable of producing.
Great to see someone genuinely excited getting his new car, i wish you many happy (hopefully trouble free!) miles.
Whenever I take delivery of a new car, i am always nervous and apprehensive in case I find a fault, or it fails to live up to expectations, however clearly that was not a problem for you!
She pretends she’s not excited, yet she’s a bit of a petrolhead in her own rights. When I say petrolhead, she likes driving, hence her choice of an Eletra for her electric car.
This is my second ‘new’ Morgan. The first one was a limited edition LM62, so I had less of a say on the specification and less emotional investment in the car itself. When i saw issues on the initial pick up (just bits of glue and loose fitting hard top), I was immediately disappointed. Then with the coolant and brake issues I just couldn’t get past it and the car lost it’s appeal. Hence the change. It wasn’t a problem with driving a Morgan, just that car.
The Plus Six has been something else though. I know there will be bits to refine on my new purchase. Yet that’s the thing with a hand built car, everything needs a little check and a tighten a little more often. In between times it’s just miles of smiles
@@julian_theviews Clearly I was wrong about your wife! The Electra is a fantastic looking car, and along with the new four door GT - the Emeya, which should be on sale in next year, represent a great move by Lotus! I would have liked an Emeya myself, but at a projected price in excess of 100k was outside what I could spend.
You should get your wife to post a similar video when she takes delivery of her Electra - it will probably be a first for RUclips!

No, it’s a good design. Additional traction through the drive wheels, narrower at the front for accurate turn in. A can of spray replaces the spare. The same in my Porsche and my Austin Healy Sprite. Why carry additional weight if you don’t have to.

I am a Morgan owner for 20 years, after owning 6 Porsche cars.
Yep, the Plus Six replaced the 2022 LM62 Plus Four. As for Porsche, I firmly believe the Morgan could and should be considered a 718 rival. Although 911 is a different proposition altogether, which is why I have one of those too.
Tell me more, 6Porsches, 20years of Morgan, there is more to that story I’m sure.
I owned 6 Porches in total, 3 911s I also enjoyed my 928 😀

It's lovely, but no spare (OK, I read below why) and are those steel wheels? Much prefer the trad Morgans for all their faults and harder work to drive (and I drive one).
I could have had a spare on a rack. They are alloys rather than steels.
I completely understand about trad Morgans. I have an Austin Healy Sprite, which has a personality I can only assume old Morgans have. Although for me, this purchase was for a modern car with the trade off between performance and old school character.

Hard tops are no longer available. Convertible only. My hard top comes off and I have the soft top too….in black.
