I run it in my version of this deck but your hand can sometimes feel too slow setting up the board. I have a couple of copies of Skrelv's Hive and Songs of Totentanz to try and get value from tokens pinging damage.

I personally run one less gleeful and run two Delney, street wise. Her additional triggers boost token creation and the unblockable is nice for getting through with smaller creatures
You think it should be a 3/4 of? I feel like later game it’s dead the 3c red haste and +1/0 is what you hope for in those situations. I wish there was X damage for creature you control like self fireball back in the day.

I’m more a lurker than a commenter but this desk deserves much much applause. So. Much. Fun. Ive addded Anim Makal for extra oomph on the warleaders call and replaced stoke with lightning helix. yet to see how that works out as the deck is so fast i haven’t needed it. 8 out 0f 10 scoop and the ones that don’t, fall in outraged astonishment, even Etali grayeyard returners. It is because they stupidly got rid of rotation, so to sell new cards they have to push them further than the existing cards (that would otherwise have rotated out). It is the same reason eternal formats get worse and worse over time.
I'm running this deck with a 1 of skrelv (helps with gleeful demolition target) as well as anim pakal. No recruiter or knight errant, but with 4 lightning helix as well. Helix helps with that crucial removal and also just gives the deck more reach with going face. Also been running 4 kumano, deck still performs well.
Having built this and played a couple dozen games I'm amazed by how often, with only 6 basic lands, I get an opening hand with either 2 mountains, or 2 plains, and 5 cards of the opposite color. Also 3 games in the MTGA algorithm discovered U/W control with Doorkeeper Thrull, and then that's all I played against.
I had the same issue. Makes me want to quit arena and play paper magic exclusively. Plus I can choose not to play against people who play the cheese decks.
I can't resist trying to fit Ojer Axonil into this deck. It loves Warleader's Call so so much. (A fully-convoked Knight Errant of Eos can fetch it, Stoke the Flames can be big and cheap enough to get it back.)
@@M726G6 I don't know if it's optimal compared to other approaches to this deck, I expect not. It's much more vulnerable to instant-speed spot removal, either on the Ojer or the Call. But if you want to do it that way (it is fun!), cut stuff that doesn't help with that plan (Evangelist, Recruiter, Bunnicorn, maybe Warden) and be willing to wait a turn to play the Ojer when you have follow-up. Having Warleader's Call in the opener is a _big_ advantage, bigger when you're pruning Warden which can otherwise help dig for it. I run Anim Pakal, and sometimes that's a better turn four play after Call than Ojer (if opponent can't deal with it, the follow-up Ojer + two gnomes is very likely to kill them, and if they can deal with it, it's eaten removal that could otherwise take out Ojer).
Feel like damage is too creature based. Sometimes you get lucky with multi warcaller but not often enough. I been trying delney, streetwise, taking out bunnicorn and one gleeful. She helps get creatures through and create more tokens!
FYI haunted bonebrute wouldn't have given you two dogs because when it flips, it doesn't enter the battlefield. It entered the battlefield when it was cast as a disguise creature.

Generally that's not going to happen, unless you're playing around the sweeper. You have to know what you're playing against and be willing to play for later giving up the advantages a deck like this gives. It's mono red with extra steps.
Thanks for the decklist! I was struggling on diamond2-3 for days mainly with a blue white deck. I hated the games against this type of decks, lots of them are on the ladder! So I changed to this and today I reched Mythic!!! :)

Warleader’s call acting as both an anthem and an impact tremors all in one means that taking damage instead of blocking can also kill you. A deck that runs board wipes and some enchantment removal could be nice but at least in best of one they’re very slow. Sometimes you just have to hope that you draw what you need and the boros player isn’t popping off enough for you to board wipe.
My build is using Charming Scoundrel instead of the Sanguine Evangelist, less power but better chance of the Gleeful demolition and a turn earlier scry or convoke(by sac treasure for another creature).
I made this deck. I didnt play standard much before, im now suddenly gold ranked after like an hour playtime. Games are so fast, i had like 4 games of turn 2 concede or if it plays out i'm going to win turn 3 anyway. I used to only play dailies in brawl, now i'm a monster killing off people trying to have fun . YOU DID THIS CGB THIS IS YOUR FAULT.
This is why I like the Rakdos control deck you made last season. Brotherhoods end, Burn down the house, etc. Maybe an updated version in the near future?

Delney is kind of too slow for the Boros deck. The point is to end the game by turn 3. Delney doesn't trigger any of the boros stuff by entering play and is much more powerful in Orhzov life gain for instance. If you've ever pulled off Delney + Cavern Bats, it feels amazing and evil to YOINK TWO of your opponent's best cards!
Warden let's you fix your draw, mostly using artifacts you don't need, building up to evasiveness. That's why and only why it should be used. The land base sucks, so that's why it's key.
at @12:20 opponent casts the lifegain Case. Why is it never solved? This is the first time in MtG that I feel stupid. "If unsolved, SOLVE IT at the beginning of your end step". Reading the card explains the card (except for Ikoria Companions). The case remains unsolved and greyed out throught the course of the game. (ends @14:20) What the hell am I missing?!?!?! EDIT: Omfg I think I get it now. "*IF*, *now that you complete the prerequisites to solve it [the only way] , the case was unsolved to begin with,* SOLVE IT" . Jesus Christ of course it was unsolved to begin with! I thought "even if you don't solve it right now, you can still solve it when the end step comes, instead of right now" The parentheses are like freaking "When Necromancy/Animate Dead enters the battlefield, *if it's on the battlefield*...."
@@cardigansrule Doorkeeper Thrull beats the deck all by itself. After I built this on MTGA it only took 3 games for the pairing algorithm to find dozens of "people" (In other words MTGA bots) playing jank decks with Doorkeeper Thrulls to beat me with.
I can recommend vanguish the Horde as the sweaper of choice. It is fine against normal Decks and it destroys Boros when the curve Out perfectly. But i got to say it is sad that i have to consider 4 of these and 4 tempory lockdowns to ceep this Deck in Check....
It's normal for enemy and allied cycles to just miss each other each standard rotarion. It was the same for triomes, pathways.. there's a philosophy wizards has about it.
Yup this deck is pretty obscene. It has a nut draw curve that puts 8 power toughness on the board on turn 2 - inspector T1 followed by gleeful demolition + Knight. Pretty dumb stuff. The arrival of turn 1 inspector just added a ton of consistency to gleeful demolition. The 3 mana anthem that makes creatures entering the battlefield ping for damage is just silly power creep as well.

It's cheap, it has haste, it has card selection, it draws with the knight of eos, it has cost reductions with convoke, it has reach with the warleader's call pings. This deck is going to be a bane. ive been tinkering around and i think going from boros to jeski might make this deck even better because you can get 3 pain lands plus the blue white has the fast land seachrome coast. you also can add in spyglass siren instead of the sanguine evangelist giving you even more early 1 drops that make artifact to sac to the gleeful demolition plus it open up the posibily to slot in all kinds of other options in th sideboard like counter spells or even zoetic glyphs to make some of the extra artifacts creatures
I played against you in ranked using this deck you built. I was looking forward to it, but you must have disconnected, because you used all your timeouts before it started. I don't count it as a win lol
Upranking was almost a walk in the park last season with active Mastery Pass. This season I did not get it and suddenly I have lots of mana and curve problems, god-curve opponents, streaks on the draw and alike. I wonder why, can't figure it out.

There is no best deck right now. The best deck is the one that goes first. If you don't go first in this meta, you lose. Standard is badly messed up. I'd say it needs to go back to 2 year rotations, but this deck is all new cards.
The power creep is getting a touch ridiculous; Standard is turning into a Pioneer-esque boat race. Putting 10+ power on the board T2 shouldn't be happening in Standard but I guess that's what happens when design keeps prioritizing flash over balance.
After taking a break for 3 years from MGT I came back to this BS. Tried to mess with a toxic deck with some rares and mythics and the others decks just kill you on turn 3 or have 4 legendary creatures or 3 insanely powerful dinos out. Fun 😅

Unless they're packing Temporary Lockdown, they'll be long dead by the time they can sweep the board, assuming the cursed manabase doesn't get you.

Doesn't come in tapped if you have two or fewer lands, allows you to choose a colour land you need for turns 1 and 2.

Path of Peril is also an option.
True the nice thing about Lockdown is is it also takes out their blood token and clues.

Upranking was almost a walk in the park last season with active Mastery Pass.
This season I did not get it and suddenly I have lots of mana and curve problems, god-curve opponents, streaks on the draw and alike.
I wonder why, can't figure it out.

@@KroyX I get mythic every month without having spent a dime on this game. Because of your inability to adapt you start questioning everyone and everything else. How about you start looking into what you do wrong or what's wrong with your decks. This is literally a skill isssue.
There is no best deck right now. The best deck is the one that goes first. If you don't go first in this meta, you lose. Standard is badly messed up. I'd say it needs to go back to 2 year rotations, but this deck is all new cards.

The power creep is getting a touch ridiculous; Standard is turning into a Pioneer-esque boat race. Putting 10+ power on the board T2 shouldn't be happening in Standard but I guess that's what happens when design keeps prioritizing flash over balance.

After taking a break for 3 years from MGT I came back to this BS. Tried to mess with a toxic deck with some rares and mythics and the others decks just kill you on turn 3 or have 4 legendary creatures or 3 insanely powerful dinos out. Fun 😅
Time to put Path of Peril back in then, even that may be too slow still 😅
