Just reminds me of the Drumeo masterclass you did that I was fortunate enough to attend in 2015. I don’t know if you remember but I was the fat dude with long blonde hair that couldn’t clap and walk at the same time. I still can’t lol! Love you, sir. So damn much.
I came across Benny Greb through Drumeo. Never had heard of him before. Pretty quickly into his 1.5hr interview/lesson I could tell this was something special. It is often those people who struggle the most with something who have the most insight to offer others. If Benny did struggle with his craft, the educational resources he has developed and shares are a monumental testament to those struggles. Benny might not have what he calls "natural musical talent" but he sure has a passion and talent for learning AND teaching. I immediately, without hesitation, sought out his website and bought all three of his major educational offerings (How to Practice book, The Art and Science of Groove, and The Language of Drumming). I rarely do this, in part, because usually when I do, I get a fair amount of buyer's remorse from the impulse decision, followed by some measure of disappointment that I didn't dig deeper first in a pre-purchase investigation. Not in this case. The more I learn about each of these resources, the more excited I get that I made the right decision to base much of the foundation of my musicianship and rhythmic capacity on Greb's learnings and teachings. There's no silver bullet, but Benny seems to have the ability to keep things both deep (and thus broadly applicable) AND practical at the same time, with a healthy does of good humor in the mix. Lastly, those who offer multiple materials often resort to significant recycling of content under the guise of offering something new. It's sort of like the didactic version of an artist (or more likely the record company execs in contractual control of the artist) releasing a bunch of remix albums, each one containing only one or two new songs, so you have to buy the same songs over and over again just to get any new gems. This isn't always bad -- repetition reinforces. But it also means the student has to purchase the same information several times, and wade through it for the relevant stuff. I personally feel that someone making an important point once is enough -- especially in a book or video that I can revisit. They provide the information, I provide the repetition. In that sense, I really appreciate how much his two books and one video complement each-other. Thank you!!
Top level DVD and information as always. Highly recommended for all serious drummers.

I also seem to remember dual vape pens and being better than you thought you were ;-)
