@maduo I don't think what reimu wears is exactly a tie, but don't quote me on this...just one second...according to the touhou wiki, which I mostly trust, it's supposed to be a ribbon that holds her top closed, which I could believe. my only guess why remilia is holding it could be because she doesn't want her reimu to escape, but that could just be my headcannon of possessive remilia peeking through.
Also understand that criticizing ideas is a route to making an idea work. If something were just simply done without asking any questions eliminating problems before they occur, the task is potentially doomed from the start.

Noticed that the MAria's theme is "Love-Colored Magic" (PC 98) not the late "Love-Colored Master Spark". Pretty cool though, I personally like this theme than the later one.
(Part 2) and instead of firing the bullets from the characters they would leave behind a "Bullet Spawner"; for example Reimu's Yin-Yang balls or Marisa's Pentacles, leaving the player free to dodge. Also your bullets would appear faded to you so you don't mix up your bullets with theirs.

I'd prefer 2D, for simplicities sake. but in a nutshell, there would have to be set spellcards (or customizable to a degree) and basically, each player would select a spellcard (or deck), and then whoever loses 3 lifes first loses the danmaku. Now we just need to build some Danmakufu scripters, artists, etc.
sonivid is 100% right. in fact you dont even need to copy the whole structure in order to create an MMO. all you need to inherit is the feel of touhou, the cast and the storyline, while balancing all the rest to make the game enjoyable. if you think about it, World of Warcraft would suck because you'd need to control a bunch of troops in addition to your main character because, well, that's what Warcraft was and WoW is the incorporation of it as an MMO.
Remilia isn't in the shades, and even if she was. It wouldn't change anything, vampires may not go while with sunlight, doesn't mean they can't adapt to it. Remilia has most likely learn how to go outside without sunlight being a problem (I bet Patchy helped.).
Well Remilia can stay out in the sun for a little bit(enough to watch a sunrise[15minutes?]) though she did mention to reimu that being to long in the sunlight would turn her to dust. So a nap could be deadly. Still I'm more confused on where her giant wings went..

For example, Reimu (opponent) vs Marisa (you) would have Marisa's "Stardust Reverie" (watch?v=BVo2sUi-hts) firing from the bottom while Reimu's "Evil Sealing Circle" (watch?v=C2Y05WMMjpE) would fire from the top.
