Despite being born with an incredibly rare condition that causes his skin to blister and tear with the slightest touch - John Hudson Dilgen is inspiring people with his motivational speaking. John, 15, was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa, a condition that leaves him in constant pain and affects only one in every 50,000 children in the United States. On a daily basis, John has to have the majority of his body wrapped in bandages to save him from infections and further harm - around 95 percent of John’s body is covered in open wounds. No, that's absolutely WRONG thing to strive to be. It's pretty obvious you're not a nurse or don't work in a medical field, or most most importantly - you don't work at all.
A nurse is a professional, she has a job to do and needs to do it on a professional level, with precision and attentiveness. Crying and being emotional is not what ANY medical worker should strive to be. Her job is to do her job first and foremost.

I can honestly say this boy has changed my views on life and showed me that everyone is going through something, but there’s people who are going though something 100x worse. John is absolutely beautiful and his outlooks on life is what keeps me going every single day. I love how kind hearted and passionate he is as well as having the sense of humor that he does. Everyone needs to see these videos of this amazing kid and how inspiring he is, especially these days in society!!!
I'v got tinitus like 2 monhts ago and feeling suicidal and now i am a bit ashamed. Seeing that John Hudson can wake up every day with this kind of pain and still have a smile on his face was like a wake up call for me.
i’m not normally someone who finds these videos hard to watch but seeing him take his bath and the amount of dread and pain he was feeling was so hard to watch

The fact that this boy is my science teachers son is amazing, I remember once my teacher couldn’t arrive to class because his son had to get a surgery. I miss you mr.dilgen!!

And to think about how many times I’ve winced because a little skin peeled off my finger and the way that hurts underwater… There are no words for how terrible I feel for what this child and his family go through. This nurse is also an angel and seeing her get so emotional was heart wrenching. John does definitely seem like a kind soul. Someone needs to find a cure for this. Bless this entire family and their providers.

There's nobody who could know or imagine his pain. It's terrible....He must be scared and desperated, because he's the only one who feel the pain.......It's hard to say, but I wouldn't let anybody to live such a painful life,...i feel just so sorry.

However, the pain is not the same, you can't say that they know each other's pain, because each of them is different people with different mind and body. Maybe, they can imagine each other's pain more than someybody who has no such condition, but they will never know each other's pain.

He lives pretty close to me. I remember seeing his story on the news and having it really touch me. He just got a new house that was donated to him with no mortgage and it’s accessible to him and makes it easier to function. He’s such a sweet kid and I hope he has an amazing life

Never in my life have I felt such shame at myself as I have now seeing this young child, this human, suffer so greatly when I complain that I have to even get up, make my coffee and work. At least I have a decent life, it’s not all rainbows mind ya but it’s damn great compared to his. The little things we take for granted and he faces that every single day! I just can’t stop my tears. I don’t know you John Hudson Jr but I am praying for you and thinking of you daily and I will live life better from now on bc you inspired me. You are handsome, brave, strong, determined, courageous, smart and inspiring and my love goes out to you, your family and nurse! They are all wonderful and I’m so very sorry for the loss of your father last year. With every tribulation you’ve faced you still are triumphant and deservingly so. 🩵🩵

Makkenzie you may be healthy physically but obviously not mentally and that doesn't make you less strong than someone with a physical condition lovely. He is an amazing strong kid, but you must be pretty strong too to make it to the end of each day if you are feeling so bad. I really hope you have a good support network xx
Hi, the fact you made it this far and are still here tells me you yourself are stronger than you know. I'm sorry you feel this way. You know, just because mental illness and suffering is not physically visible doesn't mean it's any easier to deal with - or that you're any less for struggling. I know that sometimes even getting out of bed is an impossible challenge. Some days it may even be too hard to overcome. But so far you've made it through 100 % of your days, that's quite an impressive score.
I hope things get better soon. Hang in there. And remember that asking for help is never a weakness.

I know how you feel..and you ARE a strong person to keep going. I find what helps me is doing small things that make me happy....especially being outside grounds me, or being around my pets. They are very therapeutic for me. I also think watching uploads like these make me appreciate what I DO have even more. You are important and you do matter.
I have struggled with depression since I was a kid. It never gets easier or really subsides, but learning small ways to take care of it make all the difference. I appreciate your comment and your honesty 💜

I can't even imagine how painful it must be, both physically and emotionally, to have your freedom taken away from you like that. This kids a warrior. He deserves all the respect in the world. The amount of people that would quit with what he deals with would be damn near everyone. He’s a hero for pushing through. If you end up seeing this brother I’m 23 and you’re my hero. God Bless

My sister's friend had this, the first time I met her, I started crying (I was about 6 at the time) she told my mom that she didn't mean to scare me, and I just told her "I'm not scared....I'm sad I can't help you..."
She said (before she died, just this past summer) that she had always remembered that....
She wasnt supposed to make it to 12, but she pushes through
She was 17 when she died.
She taught me so much, and I honestly think I want to go into medicine and help people with this illness because of her.

For centuries, people with medical challenges were hidden away from society. You, being willing to get out there and tell your story really helps all kinds of people. Whether it's in helping them develop their own empathy or gain a new perspective on their own situation, sharing your way of approaching life is effective and yes, inspiring. Trying to hard to cry. I don’t think I’ve really noticed how grateful I am until now. He’s so motivational and strong and deserves the whole entire world. This broke my heart, but trust me you’re one of God’s most special kids! He made you specifically the way you are and you’re unique for this ❤️

God bless this child. We take so much for granted and this kid is an angel and appreciates everything he gets . Life is never fair and i pray he inspires other kids to appreciate everything and everyone in their lives. Gratitude and praise to God!🙏🙏🙏
I cried. I cannot imagine this pain, or having a child that lives in this pain. He is such an inspiration, his nurse obviously loves him and his parents have to be strong as well. God Bless this family and his nurse.
