    I have a question. What string gauge do you use? I’ve got a Fantomen with 25.5" scale length, and 10-46 strings. D standard of course. I’ve been having a trouble playing 16th notes on the low e string smoothly (for example, like in Rats or Year Zero). I’ve tried different picks, angle, etc. Maybe my strings are too floppy to play smoothly? I’m still a beginner, so any advice you could offer would be great.

    • @notanamelessghoul
      @notanamelessghoul  4 года назад +2

      Yeah man 10’s are too light in D standard for that. You want 11’s at least. I use Ernie Ball, Power Slinky. Try different picks too mate - You’ll find one that suits your playing. I used 2mm stubby picks for years and now I use .73 nylons. They just feel much better.
