@@DanielGizmoFunny I think he already did
Joyeux Noel Timothee!
I love that they gave Ebeneezer Scrooge more motivation to be upset other than old cranky, greedy. He had a sister, lost her ON CHRISTMAS. His fiancé broke their engagement around the same time and he wants others to be unhappy because he isn't so he uses greed as a tool to make it happen.
It wasn't amazing, or anything but it did try alot more than most do these days
I felt so bad for Harry! He tried so hard to have a good relationship with his uncle and Scrooge kept blaming him for his sisters death. I think the toast Harry gave about his mother really changed Scrooge's perception of him.
And the emotion! I totally agree that this seemed to give Scrooge a bigger reason as to why he hated Christmas and why he wanted everyone to be unhappy too.
I'm shocked this has a rotten score on RT. We all know the story by now, but I really love how they conveyed Scrooge's sadness and regret in this adaptation and how emotional it was.
I’ve really stopped looking at critic scores anymore, cannot trust any of them these days
Honestly, I think the best thing to do today, if your interested in a movie l, just watch it! I feel like a lot of critics (and people in general) today just forget that the opinion of others and themselves shouldn’t have to dictate what people should and should not watch. If you like a certain thing about a movie but others don’t, SO WHAT! You like it, and no one should have to shove the false reasons of why your wrong in your face. Believe what you want, enjoy what you want, and dislike what you want, as long as you have your own valid reasons and don’t slap those reasons into other peoples faces. Happy January to all! And to all a decent day!
Who cares about the critic sites anymore? Meh.
Yeassss this version is sooo good!! The best version so far!!
This movie is actually now my favorite Christmas movie!! It's so good! The visuals are just *chefs kiss*!! The songs are incredible!! I love how they gave Scrooge a backstory! Also, I'll be honest... I cried lmao
Oh the music is incredible!!!! My favorites are 'Tell Me' and 'Later Never Comes'. I also love this movie because Luke Evens plays Scrooge and I just absolutely love his voice... his singing voice too!!!
I knew he could sing because if Beauty and the Beast but I didn't know that well
I like those songs too, but I feel like Happiness is so underated
I was honestly shocked that this movie was actually good. Wasn't expecting much when I went in, but it's actually pretty quality. Better than the Disney one for sure. The music is top tier as well.
I saw this movie today. It's a good one and musical. The moral of this story 'A Christmas Carol": The pursuit of money will not make a person happy.
Look at Mr. Scrooge. He had no friends, lost his girlfriend, he almost lost of his last relatives and he realizes that he was being such a jerk and a loser in London. Until he learned the valuable lesson for what is he going to do to change his way to be good and empathy
Luke evans was brilliant as Scrooge
i love the way he’s able to give the character a bit of flare such as the sarcasm and cruelty at the beginning of the film
I was speechless. The Movie was just Really Really beautiful in my eyes. I love the drawing style and Animation. And the songs… are so magical.
Money keeps a person happy temporarily.
But a heart of gratitude keeps a person happy permanently. That's why when we say "Thank you", say it with a smile and look into his/her eyes. Thanks Tim, and merry Christmas!🎄⛄💜
Money can provide you with a comfortable lifestyle but it is a sorry replacement for friends, family and love
those things require human warmth, and gold is only cold.
Point of fact:
Marley's eyes are two pieces of coin
As it was believed back in the day that you had to put coins on the eyes of the dead to pay the ferryman of the dead to carry them to the underworld and or to their final resting place, in Greek mythology
There was also a more modern version of that tale about the same time as the story takes place
where they would put coins on the eyes of the dead for something similar
It was said and believed that if there were no coins, the souls of the dead would be forced to wander the earth for eternity unable to pay their way to their final resting place.
I love this film so much and the songs were the highlights for me in this film, they didn't have to go this hard but.... I'm so glad they did because they are awesome and the cast was top notch especially Luke Evans, he was a good choice for this version of Scrooge.
Loved the reaction Timothee!
I love the character designs in this film. They were done by Nicholas Kole, who was one of the artists who worked on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
Agreed, they reflect the characters personalities and what they mean and represent pretty well.
From the second i saw how the characters looked they also reminded me of the designs of the human character from Transformers Prime.
While my favorite _A Christmas Carol_ adaptation will always be the Muppet version, this is definitely a worthy contender for top 5. The music and animation really put you in the Christmas spirit.
Agreed though I’m partially bias since it was the first version of A Christmas Carol I ever saw
I agree with you
One thing I wished had happened in the movie is a smart reveal regarding the woman the Ghost of Christmas Past formed herself after. Scrooge sees her on a flyer but for some reason out of all the options the Past Christmas ghost had of choosing between the people in Scrooges life, she went for the flyer woman specifically as her main form. I genuinely thought she'd turn out to be of some kind of importance but that never happened.
Can anyone explain what that was about? I have the feeling I'm missing a crucial detail in this.
This version is definitely in my top 5 of ACC film adaptions. The songs were amazing as well the visuals and the glimpse throughout time be presented based on Scrooge’s actions. Merry Christmas!
👴🏻👻🕯🎄☠️⏱⏳❤️💚💛
Merry Christmas Tim❤️💚💜🎁🎅!!!!thank you for awesome comments❤️and hope you have fun🤍🙌🏻!
I didn’t realize how many times a Christmas Carol has been adapted! 😅
I like how evethough scrooge does the wrong thing, he does have a conscience. He just ignores it and decides to be bitter
Yaaay! I was really hoping you would watch this masterpiece! This is my favourite version of Scrooge's story now!
Thank you so much for your reaction, it was as always amazing! 😊
I loved this movie, it is really great and teaches a very good lesson, Also the animation and visuals are great
Watch this movie yesterday it was really good and well , love when all the Christmas ghost was showing Scrooge the Parallel
And I love the song later never come it made me cry a lot
This is such a great take on the story, i love it, its both great for kids, and also for grown ups, im 15 and this might be one of my favorit christmas movies.
Merry Christmas Tim thank you for reacting to this. 💖💖🤩
You finally reacted to it bro 👍
I love A Christmas Carol so much❤❤!Its my favorite movie ever💕!Hope you have wonderful day🤍✨!
Just finished watching this film and I really enjoyed it! Gotta say this animated Christmas Carol film may be my second favorite after Mickey’s Christmas Carol. I didn’t expect this version would be a musical (should’ve guessed though 😅), but it was a great touch. My favorite has to be the goodbye song because it had a lot of energy and emotion, I just love it! Again, really enjoyed this film adaptation and will add it to my list of holiday film traditions.
Merry Christmas to you, Tim! Have a wonderful day!🎄❄️☃️🌟
Yeeesss, I cried during that song
The Ghost of Christmas Present from Jim Carrey's A Christmas Carol looks like Santa too, I guess because his theme is "present", huh?
I was reminded of Bill Murray's "Scrooged" when the candle spirit slapped him.
"Sometimes you have to SLAP them in the face just to get their attention."
i love this movie so much i’ve seen it like 3 times already
Merry Christmas Tim hope you are having a wonderful time with your family
Even with a few tweaks here and there, I love that this is a remake of sorts of the 1970s Scrooge. I am a huge fan of the Christmas Carol story, and just recently found out about that one. Including this one, it is now one of my top 5 versions of this story!
Good video love this video ❤️👍😍
Merry Christmas and God Bless Everyone
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 😊
Same to you!
Scrooge should adopt the 4 orphans who helped him prepare the Christmas party. I think Scrooge would be a great Dad!
From being all alone to being surrounded by families and friends, Ebenezer Scrooge has come a long way.
Since the ghost of Christmas presence looks like Santa, he looks like he’s the ghost of Christmas PRESENTS hehe 😂 get it?
This movie is one of my favourites of 2022, I first found out about it on TikTok when someone did the last 30 seconds of later never comes, and I listen to that on a loop for an hour with tears in my eyes. This is another example of the score on rotten tomatoes or any other rating website is BS. This is an amazing movie and for Luke Evans to go so hard here in a Christmas movie and a Netflix movie nonetheless is surprising an amazing
I was unsure what to think of this adaptation going in, but I am surprised at how cute and enjoyable it turned out to be. I guess the reason it turned off a bunch of critics could be because it's the same story that has been told a thousand times already. My biggest complaint about the film I think would be that the dialogue is too modern; it sounds like it is desperate to feel fresh and exciting to a modern audience. I am not sure if the modern dialogue was part of the musical of Scrooge, but it turned me off the most. Some of the original dialogue from the novella was there, but it still put me off. However, there were some aspects about the movie that I did like. I liked the Victorian feel of the time period; it is still there: The fashion, the struggles, the accents and the nod towards debtors' prison, which was common during this point in history. And the designs of the three Spirits were also quite unique. For example, the Ghost of Christmas Past, and her shapeshifting abilities which was how the Spirit was described in the original novella. In addition, I liked how they still kept Tiny Tim's final line at the end. The animation is clearly good and there was effort put into it. The visuals as well were stunning. And the voice acting was great. I love how everyone's voices were natural and not autotuned in their singing. The characters were given more depth which is a nice little addition to make this film stand out from the rest. Adapting a well-known story is not bad; it is what you bring to the table in execution that counts. I give the film a 5/10.
Joyeux Noel!
Merry christmas
I actually think this ghost of Christmas Past is the best version
whereas nothing beats the Ghost of Christmas Present from The Muppet Christmas carol as best version of the Present.
This movie is soooo good!!! Especially the song they sung!! ❤❤❤
This was a beautiful movie. I was not expecting a musical when I first watched it but it was good!!
Merry Christmas 🎄
12:33 reminds me of the hunchback of Notre-Dame reference
Super WOW, all my favorite Christmas Carol movie rolled into one; the movie animation great and story. It was like La La Land, Matrix, Great show on earth musical. Every one did blessed job in making the New Scrooge movie 2022. Thank you sharing the video. Merry Christmas. Albert Finney from the 1970's movie I watch every year.
This has to be my second favorite adaption! It would be number 1, but Muppets holds that position. I loved the music, the animation, the characters, and the emotion. The Goodbye song, Harry's toast to his mother, and Tim's grave always gets me crying. I also loved how he could see so much of his own experience with everyone. Tim's sickness with Jen's, Harry's and Hela's love with his and Isabel's. It blew my mind when it was revealed Bob was the baby of the family he and Jacob evicted all those years ago. That was a plot twist I did not see coming! And when it showed the future changing to one where Ebenezer is apart of everyone's life by helping the two women collecting for charity, making sure Jim's shop stays open, making sure Bob and his family is well taken care of and has the money to get the best doctor in all of London to treat Tim so he no longer needs a crutch, and being there for when Harry and Hela have a baby (you know he is going to spoil that child rotten when they arrive haha).
It's very interesting to me that Harry's wife's name is Hela. In Norse mythology, Hela is the goddess of death.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 🤩💝🎁
You could watch A Christmas Carol from 2009 with Jim Carrey. It's pretty dark and accurate to the novel
This is a classic Christmas movie, happy Christmas Tim.
I’ve heard a couple of people on Twitter last year say that Scrooge in this film looked attractive (and no, I’m not one of them). Also, here’s a fact: The guy who voices Scrooge is the same guy who acted as (keep in mind) Gaston from the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast
God for me the only thing holding this movie back was the animation, I so badly wish it got the 2D treatment that Klaus got. Incredible animation, music, and some of the best character designs I’ve seen in a Christmas Carol adaptation would’ve been amazing.
I told your friend to check it out too
At least 2 of the songs in this movie (''I Like Life'' and ''Thank You Very Much'') are lifted from the 1970 version with Albert Finney as Scrooge
this is my all-time favorite animated movie lol
I loved this it was wonderful and musical in this movie I have ever seen
And when Scrooge changed they'll change the future and make it better
And Magic too, this movie is amazing
*Merry Christmas* 🎅🎁🎄❤
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE IN THE COMMENTS
Thanks, Timothée! ❄ #TimotheeReacts #StephenDonnelly #ScroogeAChristmasCarol2022 ❄
Time for Jim Carrey's "A Christmas Carol"~
The 'Later Never Comes' song reminds me a lot of Muppets 'When Love Is Gone' but maybe done better, 'cause at least Isabel isn't smiling while breaking up with Scrooge, but the way Scrooge interacts by singing with her in the past is very similar here. Also reminds me of the Tim Curry '97 'This Bridge' song with Jodi Benson, where they looked like they were at a crossroads, and Isabel gave Scrooge the choice of whether she'd cross the bridge with him to their future or on her own, since he chose security over happiness.
I'm the singing voice of Tiny Tim in this movie!
Not a fan of the music by the Present Ghost, just didn’t fit with the era and setting. They also shouldn’t have cut the scene with the kids representing Ignorance and Want. Everything else seemed OK, I personally liked the character models and animation.
My personal favourite adaptation is still the Jim Carry version.
I feel like this version of Scrooge, isnt as angry and grumpy, he is more evil and cruel,
This one takes the cake
"Let's forget about child labor..."
Well... to be fair... they didn't really have child labor laws in the mid 1800s in England... so... I mean... lol.
great
It’s a good animation but the original Scrooge from 1970 is the best
yess it's a christmas miracle that tim finaly can upload the movie reaction to scrooge: a christmas carol and i love scrooge: a christmas carol👦🎩👴🏻🐕🎅🎁🎄❤😊❤ beceuse a christmas carol is an iconic story it was in soo many adaptations/movies and versions of the christmas carol story and the Netflix version is an Amazing/a fantastic christmas movie and story🎥🎬👌 and tim do a movie reaction to jingle all the way a christmas carol the muppets: a christmas carol disney,s a christmas carol lego star wars holiday Special elvis wreck it Ralph Ralph breaks the internet soul finding nemo finding dory the little mermaid rio rio 2 and horton hears a who! please!!!🎥🎬❤😊👍and tim have great/an awesome christmas day✌🎅🎄🤙
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 Tim
Merry Christmas, Tim!
The future is not evil. It's just scary. Mostly
Ouch Ouch that could've been you. Buddy you always speak the truth. If scrooge didn't focus on money so much, Isabel would've been his wife and those would've been his children.
I just don't care for it. They literally gave the most heartless, cruel, a man telling orphans to die in prison
A cute and funny dog companion. Even Mr. Magoo didn't do that and he's a comedy cartoon character!
Merry Christmas though!😁
Whew-Well, at least you saw Albert Finley first, even if he was no Alastair Sim, George C.Scott, Mr. Magoo, Kermit the Frog, Patrick Stewart, or even Kelsey Grammer from that Alan Menken musical version. I was worried about this being the first Scrooge for some poor Netflix-slave, just like the psychotic nightmare-fuel Jim Carrey is still considered sacred by the last generation.
(And if you’re a Jonathan Pryce fan, Disney’s “Something Wicked This Way Comes” is now on disk but not D+, for next Halloween.)
I got so drunk last night. Merry Christmas
Omg I am definitely gonna watch it but will see
2009 version is 👌
Why did they change the nephew’s name to Harry?
