Fun fact: not only did Jim Carrey play Scoorge he also played all three ghosts of Christmas. I like that element it’s almost as if their different aspects of himself.
I’m sore really sure how it would matter much about the ghost of the future… because that ghost looks like the grim reaper and he’s completely mute, so you can’t really tell who’s playing him lol

As someone who is a fan of Jim carrey and is not a fan of Christmas I see this comment as an absolute win-win.
I loved this movie a lot and in my opinion my fav Christmas Carol movie ever starring Jim Carrey he’s funny and a great actor
The bells all next to each other in a row are what rich people used to have in their homes to call on servants. The bell would be tugged by the rich person and a similar bell would ring in the rooms where the servants lived. Depending on the bell told them which servant they were calling.
Best representation of this story. It is not a wonderful musical, but a horror story, to teach a lesson. And it was in 3D ! Just fantastic.

This is my favorite version of Christmas Carol. Jim is a great actor. My favorite actor is Bill Pullman (Spaceballs, Independence Day, Equalizer) though. You should watch his, "While you were Sleeping." It's a sweet winter movie with a funny, likable family/cast and great chemistry with leading Lady, Sandra Bullock.
I love this movie sooooo much. I make sure to watch it every year at Christmas. It is my absolute favorite story of all time!
It's not show in the movie but in the book, Scrooge sees Belle (his past love) as a happy grandma with all her family.
You should watch " Mickey in a Christmas Carol " and " Barbie in a Christmas Carol " they're good too
Are you sure that is original to the book? I've also seen where she is shown in the "present" working in a homeless charity. I also know Scrooge does NOT visit the Cratchit family on christmas day, but that is filler added to so many versions, most people that it was in what Dickens wrote.

I went to see this in the cinema when I was 9 & it scared my mother so much!

I love the Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey and he does all the voices just three of the ghosts of Christmas I almost got scared after this movie came up it just got me there but it was very good movie Ebenezer Scrooge was a bad man he hates Christmas of his life but he changed his own way good guy so Merry Christmas 🌲

I know that not everybody has the same opinions about everything, but it’s blatantly obvious that Jim Carrey is multitalented, yet some people only see him as “just another typical comedian who constantly does the samething.” Are these people that blind and dumb 😵💫

I’ve never seen or heard of the story of A Christmas Coral until I saw this version a while back. It was exciting!
I grew up knowing the movie Scrooge with Albert Finney and Alec Guinness (the first Obi Wan) as Jacob Marley. Years ago I saw a Christmas Carol, from 1951, with Alastair Sim and I like it better. I highly recommend you watch it sometime, maybe next Christmas.
Movie was filmed in 3D, where the effect is only best appreciated when objects are near the camera, particularly coming at the camera. So this movie includes something like this at every opportunity.
The original story was published in the 1840's. It has long been in the public domain, and so you can easily find copies of the full book on line. The book originally contained 8 illustrations which Dickens added, so if you find an online copy of an original book, they are included.
The book is an easy read, only 66 pages, many of which don't contain text. It can be read in a couple of hours, about the same time as watching one of these full movies.
Because it is so short, every movie version has to flesh it out with their own new bits. If you like seeing the different movies of this, it would be wise to read the book so you know what is original.
Got to love the story.. very well played out here with very very good animation. It's timeless.. I look forward to it every year,.the school scenes hit hard. Spellbinding and beautiful.

Hi! I had tradition during 3 or 4 years to watch this movie every Christmas:) realy great animation movie for adults as reminder about necessary things.
I highly recommend the irish trilogy: Book of Kells, Song of the sea, Wolfwalkers. No, they are not about Christmas but very emotional and nice. Have a good Hollidays!
You should know that bob cratchitt in this version is gary oldman aka Sirius black/dracula etc etc

In my opinion, A Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) -- the "long" version with one foolishly deleted musical number restored -- is a much better adaptation of this Dickens story. Watching that film each year has become a family tradition for us. 🎄
Unfortunately, Muppet Christmas Carol didn’t do very well at the box office when it came out in 1992.
Reason being is because it competed with Aladdin and Home Alone 2, so yes the Muppets didn’t stand a chance in theaters against those 2 movies lol

You guys need more Mel Gibson movies. Watch APOCALYPTO (2006) for his directorial debut. Great movie but some gruesome scenes.
