EchoOkami unfortunately that would run a very big risk of getting frustrating way too quickly. If anything the fact he’s still willing to listen to you in battle could be considered proof there’s a chance you can bring him back. Plus he’s still “sane” enough not to needlessly kill those who don’t oppose him. So he still has some rational thinking.

Dimitri’s ranged crit animation is so fucking good. The dude jumps five feet into the air, yeets the lance right into the chest of the poor bastard that thought they could take on the main character. He’s up there as one of my favorite lords.

I loved how broken Dimitri got post-timeskip. I had my mouth hanging open as he critted constantly for 150 damage and soloed monsters. Byleth had no chance keeping up.

Perhaps it’s because I played Blue Lions first, but I feel like this theme fits them way more than the other two houses. The tone of post timeskip BL was way darker and just more desperate feeling than the other two, and this song really enhances that. It also just sounds more like the theme of an army from the “Holy Kingdom” with that badass choir.

Dimitri: from a prettyboy people didn't care about pre-release aside from his crappy haircut, to one of the biggest badasses in all of Fire Emblem, or Nintendo as a whole. That's a redemption story almost as good as the one he has in the game.

When I first played I went in blind. I didn’t pay any attention to the release but I knew I liked the games because I played awakening back in the day. I was expecting a battle vs good and evil just like awakening, a fun fluffy good triumphs all story. Oh boy was I wrong. This has got to be the most complex game I’ve played in a while. No one is a good guy here and the game doesn’t try to hide that. I was actually going to choose Edelgard too. I can’t remember what made me choose Dimitri because I thought he was going to be a Chrom reboot except more boring. Lmao FE said 🤡. I was not expecting to like Dimitri as much as I did and be as invested in his route and character. I found myself loving the blue lions, every single one. And I screamed when I had to kill my former students. Easily my favorite game in a while. I could never play crimson flower at this point. Right now I’m playing on golden deer for a bit more of a light hearted and positive route.
ccbib I’m pretty hyped to play BL as my last play through, once I finish Black Eagles rn. I picked Golden Deer solely on Claude’s initial likeability than the other two lords, but Dimitri’s route seems it’s going to bring the most feels
One of the most WTF moments for me was when that ost played for the first time, and then Felix came, defeated a thief and said *"You fought well"*. I was like, "who are you and what did you do with my trashtalking swordsman?"
I was honestly really expecting a big change in his character when he said that, but he then shortly afterwards told Ingrid to find a husband and stay out of war.
I've just barely hopped on Golden Deer, but I already feel bored of it. I want to run through it as well as Blue Lions, but both paths for Black Eagles were already good for me. I don't even know what I should do at this point. 😅
Its honestly unfair how good the blue lions route is. Everything feels so much more personal. Even in the academy phase shit gets real and personal for everyone involved. Whether it's Ashe, Annette, or especially Dedue, everything feels very personal. Now I haven't done all the routes yet, but it seems like based off the movie gallery, only Dimitri gets a very shocking cutscene for *that* moment before we go to war. Dimitri is also the one Felix and Dedue ask you to help specifically, even if you didn't side with him. Flayn, despite being able to join anyone, has blue on her costume, and even Byleth has a blue sheath for his dagger. Dimitri talks to you about his past after the academy ball, but not Claude, and I can only persume not Edelgard. Dimitri's story from what I gather, is the only story concerned with the experience of war, not *why* the war is happening. Blue Lions is a great story. I don't regret picking them.
I really like Golden Deer, they were my first house. That being said, I think Blue Lions is better story wise. They have the only students who are properly invested in the events of act 1 (Ashe and Sylvain for instance). I guess Leonie has an event like that too. When that thing happens. And while I prefer Claude, Dimitri's act 2 storyline is way more interesting.

While Golden Deer is more focused on "behind the scenes" of everything and what's going on and learning more about Byleth and Rhea, Blue Lions had a much more better storytelling. *Everything* is personal to their house specifically during aⁿct 1. Save for maybe Ingrid and Dedue. However, it becomes very personal act 2
@@gluto3s910 I would argue while there's no main chapter that is heavily fixated on Dedue like Ashe, or Sylvain. The fact that *person* is somewhat related to why Dedue is even here in the first place during act 1, as well as alot of people in general treating Dedue as a monster makes it very personal to him. Ingrid was honestly the only odd one out in regards to personal involvement. Even Mercedes (granted it was kinda forced and hand waved) has a personal stake in this story.
I played the Blue Lions route third after Golden Deer and Black Eagle, so I'm probably a bit biased. I found the Blue Lions pre-timeskip to be the best pre-timeskip. And while post-timeskip Blue Lions still has good moments, like the whole thing with F and R, I was kind of upset it didnt have a single map unique to that route and the ending felt a bit weak compared to the Golden Deer's route, where you find out pretty much everything. So while I think the Blue Lions route has the best moments, I think the Golden Deer have the most satisfying story and conclusion. Plus, Claude isnt a fucked up as Dimitri and Edelgard, so that's nice

I'm still doing the golden deer route, but I just made it to act 2, and act 1 was kinda meh if we are talking about mainly uniqueness. I agree, that it is disappointing that the hidden bad guys in BL kinda get demoted to some random schmuck who gets killed, and somehow that's end of them. I mean they hype up that final boss to be strong, so perhaps I can believe it is pretty much over. But it is still a little disappointing, however I still felt closure from the ending. Also in regards to Claude not being as bad, yeah that seems to be the case. If we are talking about the least grey character, he is pretty "innocent" compared to the others from what I know. But I'm almost certain (maybe my mind will change) that if I had a preference for who to side with, it's still Dimitri. For one you help him find peace with himself. Secondly, I believe a redeemed Dimitri would make a good king, and thus make things better, as his ending seems to be some kind of democratic monarchy. Thats what I remember the epilogue being. And from the looks of it, the people of the Alliance, seem to be better off too when Claude puts an end to the Alliance. That part is thankfully done without any force. But once I complete every route, I'll make a fully informed decision on who is best for Fodlan, so I am open-minded about this. I just wanted to give my current opinion. It is a long game after all. I also am going to make a potentially controversial statement, (but it really shouldn't be in my opinion since not everyone shares the same morals) and that statement is that I believe Edelgard is the most messed up out of the three. On both a moral level, and a (for the lack of better words) "rational" level. Dimitri, while he did pretty bad things and I dont agree with it, his mental state seems to have only happened because of both Edelgard and the hidden bad guys (I still dont know who they are) who essentially ruined him and destroyed people's lives. In my opinion, it's hard to give a mentally ill person too much flak, especially when compared to a fanatic who needlessly started a war, without even trying any other avenues to reach the peace she wants, with a total sound mind. To which my opinon of her only got worse because of the final animated cutscene in the BL route. She could've just given up, but she needlessly still resorted to violence. I also am 99.9% sure I dont need to beat the other routes in order to judge Edelgard. I'm pretty sure based off what happened in the BL route, and so far with the GD route, as well as the conversation Dimitri has with Edelgard, she is absolutely wrong for starting the war. Her message is fine that the way society deals with crests is bad, but her way of obtaining peace is simply a self defeating fallacy. Also dont misunderstand, her character is pretty cool, but she's still wrong. I did not mean for the post to be too long, but there it is. This game has quite alot to talk about.
All routes are worth doing but if anyone bought the game and only intended to complete one route, it’d definitely be Azure Moon I’d suggest for sure. (Edit: want to add that I adore all 3 house leaders for different reasons and each route is satisfying in their own terms)

Can't agree more than with everyone that this track really feels like it suits the blue lions best, was kind of gutted when I found out the other houses use it lol. Playing them first has honestly made it hard for me to connect too much with the black eagles yet on my second playthrough (Even though I'm still only on part 1)

I played the blue lions route first and then I played the black eagle route. I am very sorry but I couldn't help but take a little bit of resentment to Edelgard especially when she killed Dimitri and I saw Dimitri's despair at not understanding why Edelgard was doing all that and I was supporting her and I will not forget his despair at seeing that he was going to die whitout being able to kill Edelgard
This theme fit BL the best hands down. Wheras Edelgard and Claude are fighting with functioning armies from the get go and you know they've been working alongside all their classmates all this time, Dimitri is by himself and we're backed against a wall fighting for survival. In our weakest moment the BL students jump into the fray to save their professor and king who they believed were dead, and we have to gather an entire army from scratch . The stakes are so much higher and it felt that much more thrilling with thie theme playing.
Just about done with the Golden Deer and I gotta say Blue Lions is still the best. Best tone, best character arc, best depiction of the conflict between El and Dimitri, best cutscenes and best time skip redesigns.
Golden Deer for me is still the best one (Church is the only only I haven't done), just because of the fact that they're the only path that deals with the ACTUAL problem; Those Who Slither in the Dark. That group is completely forgotten about in the other routes. If they dealt with the cult in Blue Lions, it'd by far be the best route. Oh, and those two routes also don't have God Shattering Star. That song is nuts.

But to be fair, as far as the characters are aware, all of the cult leaders are dead by the end of the BL besides Thales, but I'm honestly not even sure if they know who that is to be honest. GD is really good for actually explaining everything, but it doesn't have that same tone and Claude didn't really develop much as a character, to me at least.
Well, the only thing that stopped the people in BL from not finding out the truth was literally just a letter from Hubert that they didn't come across, but the Alliance somehow did. It just seemed kinda odd to me how you see the cult CLEARLY pulling the strings when fighting Edelgard, and everyone kinda just acts like they were never there
@@dangerousshoes Yeah, it really wasn't the best executed, but one could make the case that they just assumed after killing Mycen (side note, thought they were going to somehow tie this into Shadow of Valentia when I saw his name) that the others who ran were completely without a leader following his and Edelgard's deaths. I personally think Blue Lions should have been 25 or 26 chapters long just so we could patch up the conspiracy plot thread, but I guess we couldn't have King Dimitri if we did that.
I played Golden Deer as my first playthrough then Blue Lions as my seconds, and I vividly remember thinking to myself as I played Blue Lions "Why wasn't Golden Deer this good?" Seriously, this route broke my heart and put it back together. I went into this game totally blind, so I had no idea what happened to Dimitri after the time skip, but when I first saw him in that cutscene... I sobbed. It broke my heart, because when you think about it, this is the reality of war and the reality of humans. We betray and we kill, and seeing Dimitri like that gave me a complete existential crisis. Blue Lions is best route, fight me.
I can't. I've nearly done all 4 routes and after I redo VW on Hard Mode I'm going straight back to AM. And staying with AM. AM is the route I love with my entire being, as it got me to love 4 characters I might've brushed over normally (Ashe, Annette, Mercedes and Dimitri).
I believe Dimitri has all the reasons to consider him the real protagonist of the game out of the three. His arc feels part of the overall story in such a natural way. (Haven't play Edelgard side so maybe im wrong) Plus the guy has a freaking eyepatch, a full black armor, and acts like a psychopath for a 1/4 of the game, at least he is the coolest.

Fire Emblem Three Houses? More like Fire Emblem Dimitri Critical Hit Every Last One of Them Like seriously i dont know what happen but in the reunion battle 6 units literally ganging up on him but they couldn’t land a hit single on him, not to mention every freaking time Dimitri always land critical hit like crazy, I was like chill out man..... but because of this plus badass battle music, Dimitri became my favorite character
He really does. Even at like 20 or 30%, it seems he still crits way more than he should. Claude was similar for me, but his dex is so high that it seems normal.
Lol same for me in this battle. I sent him forward, and was kinda intimidated seeing about 10 or so redlines connected to him. The only ones who could hit, dealt 0 damage anyways. He killed every last one of them, and I wondered why I even had the other students there.
I regret picking the Blue Lions first. I wish I could have experienced the best route in the game LAST, because I just KNOW it's all going to be downhill from here. And yes, this theme does fit them the best.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. Edelgard clearly represents Three Houses, because the game ultimately revolves around Edelgard's choices. The game's main theme is her song (in Japanese, the title of the song is "Girl of Hresvelg") and written from her perspective. Although I agree that Dimitri's story line and character arc are impressive and better than Edelgard's story, the story focuses on Edelgard as a character. Though, from a story perspective, probably BL or GD or even SS is the most canon.
More accurately Edelgard is a good tragic antagonist. Without her the game wouldn't have happened. I really like the fact even though in all routes she's the 'villain' of the story she mirrors Rhea in her actions because Rhea is also a tragic villain both did essentially the same thing while still not being fully bad. The fact people are still talking about Edelgard just shows that she was a good character.

I did the Blue Lions route 1st and I think it was amazing. Havent finished the others yet but this story is hard to top and this theme fits so perfectly with them. The fact that Dimitri literally turns into Venom Snake post timeskip is fucking awesome

I've found most people are like, Golden Deer is best bc Claude, which is actually fair, but then most others are like oh yeah, black eagles are so cool. His character arc is on par with the very best of them.

I played the Black Eagles route first, and now I'm on the Blue Lions. I have to wholeheartedly agree that I feel much more invested in this route. A lot of the students backgrounds just tie into the main narrative so well, and you actually feel bad. In the black eagles route it was just like defeat another commander each map. I think the BEagles route had so much potential to really build a closer relationship with Edelgard, and when shit hit the fan I felt like I didn't have enough time to attach to her. Especially towards the end when ***THAT*** happened, I was like ...are they really going to do her like that?? So easily?? ..and if anyone has played the Black Eagle route, I hate how Dimitri was handled after the 5 year skip- he's here, oh he's not here, no he's here again - wait, nope.
I personally think the church route shouldn't have even been a thing, since both the church and Claude's route are so similar it's like why? With Dimitri his mask shatters and you try and save your friend. I love BL, but I'm disappointed that CF got the short end of the stick but I still liked the ending nonetheless.

I feel like playing it first made it impossible to truly enjoy the other routes, especially with what happens to Dimitri in the others. Definitely my headcanon pick. The route steers you hard towards marrying Dimitri though. I can see why so many M Byleths are disappointed.

I played Blue Lions/Azure Moon as my third route (I played Crimson Flower first and Silver Snow second), but it became my favorite route quickly. Dimitri is my favorite character of all time, and I love him very much. This song screams Blue Lions to me, tbh.

When I first played I went in blind. I didn’t pay any attention to the release but I knew I liked the games because I played awakening back in the day. I was expecting a battle vs good and evil just like awakening, a fun fluffy good triumphs all story. Oh boy was I wrong. This has got to be the most complex game I’ve played in a while. No one is a good guy here and the game doesn’t try to hide that.
I was actually going to choose Edelgard too. I can’t remember what made me choose Dimitri because I thought he was going to be a Chrom reboot except more boring. Lmao FE said 🤡. I was not expecting to like Dimitri as much as I did and be as invested in his route and character. I found myself loving the blue lions, every single one. And I screamed when I had to kill my former students.
Easily my favorite game in a while. I could never play crimson flower at this point. Right now I’m playing on golden deer for a bit more of a light hearted and positive route.
ccbib I’m pretty hyped to play BL as my last play through, once I finish Black Eagles rn. I picked Golden Deer solely on Claude’s initial likeability than the other two lords, but Dimitri’s route seems it’s going to bring the most feels
One of the most WTF moments for me was when that ost played for the first time, and then Felix came, defeated a thief and said *"You fought well"*. I was like, "who are you and what did you do with my trashtalking swordsman?"
I was honestly really expecting a big change in his character when he said that, but he then shortly afterwards told Ingrid to find a husband and stay out of war.
Dimitri's character arc was phenomenal and this track just pairs with it so well to me
This, in my opinion, was the perfect battle theme for the Blue Lion's reunion.

Its honestly unfair how good the blue lions route is. Everything feels so much more personal. Even in the academy phase shit gets real and personal for everyone involved. Whether it's Ashe, Annette, or especially Dedue, everything feels very personal. Now I haven't done all the routes yet, but it seems like based off the movie gallery, only Dimitri gets a very shocking cutscene for *that* moment before we go to war. Dimitri is also the one Felix and Dedue ask you to help specifically, even if you didn't side with him. Flayn, despite being able to join anyone, has blue on her costume, and even Byleth has a blue sheath for his dagger. Dimitri talks to you about his past after the academy ball, but not Claude, and I can only persume not Edelgard. Dimitri's story from what I gather, is the only story concerned with the experience of war, not *why* the war is happening. Blue Lions is a great story. I don't regret picking them.
I really like Golden Deer, they were my first house. That being said, I think Blue Lions is better story wise. They have the only students who are properly invested in the events of act 1 (Ashe and Sylvain for instance). I guess Leonie has an event like that too. When that thing happens. And while I prefer Claude, Dimitri's act 2 storyline is way more interesting.

While Golden Deer is more focused on "behind the scenes" of everything and what's going on and learning more about Byleth and Rhea, Blue Lions had a much more better storytelling. *Everything* is personal to their house specifically during aⁿct 1. Save for maybe Ingrid and Dedue. However, it becomes very personal act 2
@@gluto3s910 I would argue while there's no main chapter that is heavily fixated on Dedue like Ashe, or Sylvain. The fact that *person* is somewhat related to why Dedue is even here in the first place during act 1, as well as alot of people in general treating Dedue as a monster makes it very personal to him. Ingrid was honestly the only odd one out in regards to personal involvement. Even Mercedes (granted it was kinda forced and hand waved) has a personal stake in this story.
I played the Blue Lions route third after Golden Deer and Black Eagle, so I'm probably a bit biased.
I found the Blue Lions pre-timeskip to be the best pre-timeskip. And while post-timeskip Blue Lions still has good moments, like the whole thing with F and R, I was kind of upset it didnt have a single map unique to that route and the ending felt a bit weak compared to the Golden Deer's route, where you find out pretty much everything. So while I think the Blue Lions route has the best moments, I think the Golden Deer have the most satisfying story and conclusion. Plus, Claude isnt a fucked up as Dimitri and Edelgard, so that's nice
@@ThomBaws *SPOILERS for those who havent finished a route* I tried not to do spoilers, but I really wanna have a convo about the story, and my opinion on who is most messed up.
I'm still doing the golden deer route, but I just made it to act 2, and act 1 was kinda meh if we are talking about mainly uniqueness. I agree, that it is disappointing that the hidden bad guys in BL kinda get demoted to some random schmuck who gets killed, and somehow that's end of them. I mean they hype up that final boss to be strong, so perhaps I can believe it is pretty much over. But it is still a little disappointing, however I still felt closure from the ending.
Also in regards to Claude not being as bad, yeah that seems to be the case. If we are talking about the least grey character, he is pretty "innocent" compared to the others from what I know. But I'm almost certain (maybe my mind will change) that if I had a preference for who to side with, it's still Dimitri. For one you help him find peace with himself. Secondly, I believe a redeemed Dimitri would make a good king, and thus make things better, as his ending seems to be some kind of democratic monarchy. Thats what I remember the epilogue being. And from the looks of it, the people of the Alliance, seem to be better off too when Claude puts an end to the Alliance. That part is thankfully done without any force. But once I complete every route, I'll make a fully informed decision on who is best for Fodlan, so I am open-minded about this. I just wanted to give my current opinion. It is a long game after all.
I also am going to make a potentially controversial statement, (but it really shouldn't be in my opinion since not everyone shares the same morals) and that statement is that I believe Edelgard is the most messed up out of the three. On both a moral level, and a (for the lack of better words) "rational" level. Dimitri, while he did pretty bad things and I dont agree with it, his mental state seems to have only happened because of both Edelgard and the hidden bad guys (I still dont know who they are) who essentially ruined him and destroyed people's lives. In my opinion, it's hard to give a mentally ill person too much flak, especially when compared to a fanatic who needlessly started a war, without even trying any other avenues to reach the peace she wants, with a total sound mind. To which my opinon of her only got worse because of the final animated cutscene in the BL route. She could've just given up, but she needlessly still resorted to violence. I also am 99.9% sure I dont need to beat the other routes in order to judge Edelgard. I'm pretty sure based off what happened in the BL route, and so far with the GD route, as well as the conversation Dimitri has with Edelgard, she is absolutely wrong for starting the war. Her message is fine that the way society deals with crests is bad, but her way of obtaining peace is simply a self defeating fallacy. Also dont misunderstand, her character is pretty cool, but she's still wrong.
I did not mean for the post to be too long, but there it is. This game has quite alot to talk about.
If Azure Moon was the only storyline in Three Houses I would still consider it my favorite FE game
All routes are worth doing but if anyone bought the game and only intended to complete one route, it’d definitely be Azure Moon I’d suggest for sure. (Edit: want to add that I adore all 3 house leaders for different reasons and each route is satisfying in their own terms)

Playing them first has honestly made it hard for me to connect too much with the black eagles yet on my second playthrough (Even though I'm still only on part 1)

I am very sorry but I couldn't help but take a little bit of resentment to Edelgard especially when she killed Dimitri and I saw Dimitri's despair at not understanding why Edelgard was doing all that and I was supporting her and I will not forget his despair at seeing that he was going to die whitout being able to kill Edelgard

This theme fit BL the best hands down. Wheras Edelgard and Claude are fighting with functioning armies from the get go and you know they've been working alongside all their classmates all this time, Dimitri is by himself and we're backed against a wall fighting for survival. In our weakest moment the BL students jump into the fray to save their professor and king who they believed were dead, and we have to gather an entire army from scratch . The stakes are so much higher and it felt that much more thrilling with thie theme playing.
This theme fits Dimitri the most out of the 3 house leaders imo
Just about done with the Golden Deer and I gotta say Blue Lions is still the best. Best tone, best character arc, best depiction of the conflict between El and Dimitri, best cutscenes and best time skip redesigns.

Golden Deer for me is still the best one (Church is the only only I haven't done), just because of the fact that they're the only path that deals with the ACTUAL problem; Those Who Slither in the Dark. That group is completely forgotten about in the other routes.
If they dealt with the cult in Blue Lions, it'd by far be the best route.
Oh, and those two routes also don't have God Shattering Star.

@@dangerousshoes God Shattering Star is boss, yeah. But to be fair, as far as the characters are aware, all of the cult leaders are dead by the end of the BL besides Thales, but I'm honestly not even sure if they know who that is to be honest.
GD is really good for actually explaining everything, but it doesn't have that same tone and Claude didn't really develop much as a character, to me at least.
Well, the only thing that stopped the people in BL from not finding out the truth was literally just a letter from Hubert that they didn't come across, but the Alliance somehow did. It just seemed kinda odd to me how you see the cult CLEARLY pulling the strings when fighting Edelgard, and everyone kinda just acts like they were never there
@@dangerousshoes Yeah, it really wasn't the best executed, but one could make the case that they just assumed after killing Mycen (side note, thought they were going to somehow tie this into Shadow of Valentia when I saw his name) that the others who ran were completely without a leader following his and Edelgard's deaths.
I personally think Blue Lions should have been 25 or 26 chapters long just so we could patch up the conspiracy plot thread, but I guess we couldn't have King Dimitri if we did that.
I played Golden Deer as my first playthrough then Blue Lions as my seconds, and I vividly remember thinking to myself as I played Blue Lions "Why wasn't Golden Deer this good?"
Seriously, this route broke my heart and put it back together. I went into this game totally blind, so I had no idea what happened to Dimitri after the time skip, but when I first saw him in that cutscene... I sobbed. It broke my heart, because when you think about it, this is the reality of war and the reality of humans. We betray and we kill, and seeing Dimitri like that gave me a complete existential crisis. Blue Lions is best route, fight me.
I can't. I've nearly done all 4 routes and after I redo VW on Hard Mode I'm going straight back to AM. And staying with AM. AM is the route I love with my entire being, as it got me to love 4 characters I might've brushed over normally (Ashe, Annette, Mercedes and Dimitri).

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. Edelgard clearly represents Three Houses, because the game ultimately revolves around Edelgard's choices. The game's main theme is her song (in Japanese, the title of the song is "Girl of Hresvelg") and written from her perspective. Although I agree that Dimitri's story line and character arc are impressive and better than Edelgard's story, the story focuses on Edelgard as a character. Though, from a story perspective, probably BL or GD or even SS is the most canon.
More accurately Edelgard is a good tragic antagonist. Without her the game wouldn't have happened. I really like the fact even though in all routes she's the 'villain' of the story she mirrors Rhea in her actions because Rhea is also a tragic villain both did essentially the same thing while still not being fully bad.
The fact people are still talking about Edelgard just shows that she was a good character.

I've found most people are like, Golden Deer is best bc Claude, which is actually fair, but then most others are like oh yeah, black eagles are so cool. I'm freaking dying to play the game, because I've heard the music (it's all godly), I know the story is amazing, and I fricking love Dimitri so much! His character arc is on par with the very best of them.
I didn't even have a good opinion on Dimitri before playing BL, but after I got to the timeskip Dimitri easily became my favorite lord, I love his design during the war phase.

I played the Black Eagles route first, and now I'm on the Blue Lions. I have to wholeheartedly agree that I feel much more invested in this route. A lot of the students backgrounds just tie into the main narrative so well, and you actually feel bad. In the black eagles route it was just like defeat another commander each map. I think the BEagles route had so much potential to really build a closer relationship with Edelgard, and when shit hit the fan I felt like I didn't have enough time to attach to her. Especially towards the end when ***THAT*** happened, I was like ...are they really going to do her like that?? So easily??
..and if anyone has played the Black Eagle route, I hate how Dimitri was handled after the 5 year skip- he's here, oh he's not here, no he's here again - wait, nope.
I personally think the church route shouldn't have even been a thing, since both the church and Claude's route are so similar it's like why? With Dimitri his mask shatters and you try and save your friend. I love BL, but I'm disappointed that CF got the short end of the stick but I still liked the ending nonetheless.

I think Dimitri’s crit rate was very high while he was edgy but then went down to normal after he got his sanity back.
I chose Blue Lions because I thought they had the cutest cast. Figured I’d marry Felix or something. I was not expecting so many feels. I feel like playing it first made it impossible to truly enjoy the other routes, especially with what happens to Dimitri in the others. Definitely my headcanon pick. The route steers you hard towards marrying Dimitri though. I can see why so many M Byleths are disappointed.
