The Waldenses treasured the Holy Scriptures like the early Christians did, and spread the true Gospel throughout Europe during the Middle Ages. The Roman-Catholic Church persecuted them in a most brutal fashion. Despite all the campaigns against them, they continued to tell of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins on the cross.
