I have a question here - why don't we buy the put at a lower price than 46 - say 44/43 ( put price $1.55/1.30 in the chart) - is it not a better? More premium differential and lower risk of the stock breaking the spread? I am sure there is simple explanation, grateful if you could help us understand

No you don't have to. But if your option expires in the money selling put, you will be assigned 100 of the company shares
