Hey guys congratulations on 1yr awesome I'm a little late to the party,I got here Sept 6 and been sicker than anytime in my life as I got my first bout with Covid. My very best to you both you deserve it.
Oh wow, we are really sorry to hear that. Hope you are past the worst of it and back to full health very soon! Sleep as much as possible and keep those liquids going! All the best!!!
Well done, very entertaining. Your local prices surprised me compared with Isaan but I understand the reasons ... phew! Anyway happy anniversary and cheers.
Cheers and thank you, Jeff! We are with you on the belief. RUclips rewards quantity. Creators who post more often often have a higher share rate (impressions) than people who post less often. It's a way to get creators to post more often. We like the quality of what we create but given the time it takes don't want it to rule our life. As a result we typically only post once ever other week. It used to really bug me but now I just say "Oh well" and go on with my day not thinking about it. Thanks for your kind words.
Thanks for great videos - I have been watching them for several days and just subscribed. Planning to move to Thailand, most likely to Samui in the beginning of next year. Having lived in the region for several years, I would like to mention one, important con for the benefits of others. This con is not very obvious for many. When you move to Thailand, you make some serious, health related decisions. The quality of air and polution levels are generally bad in entire country, but significantly more hazardous in the north, of course. The cleanliness of tap water and sea is also inferior. Most importantly, the food is not healthy either. Thai food is delicious, but laden with carbs, processed sauces and deep fried in palm oil. The concept of organic food is almost non-existent, as there is no incentive for the farmers and almost no demand on the market. Use of chemicals and pesticides is not only common but even encouraged. Generally, there is no concept of environmental care. All this may not be very obvious, but will take a toll on almost everyone after some time. This is quite serious, but again - we are moving there, though we currently live on quite pristine Mediterranean island, with blue category beaches.... 😂
I think I had a small comment about air quality in the video but might of edited it out as the video was longer than I was aiming for. You are absolutely correct and your comment on food preparation is also noted. We are more choosy with where we eat than we used to be one year ago and are eating more at home these days as a result. One can eat much more cheaply here than we do but quality is sacrificed. Thanks for taking all that time to share your thoughts and best of luck in your move prep.
@edandtomo Thank you, Ed - we have applied for Elite visa, so if all goes according to the plan, we should be there rather soon. We also bring our SUPs, and I can see some other similarities as well 😊. Your idea of cooking at home more is the best solution. In the West (or Japan) you can ask them what oil they use etc, but it would not work in Thailand! We will still be using not so healthy ingredientsat home, but it is all we can do. Here in Europe chicken goes off in 3-4 days and milk gets sour after couple of days, but in Thailand and SEA in general, you can store them for ages.... Health and safety is not priority there, as you know 🤣. All the best for both of you, Tom

@edandtomo thank you, Ed - that is extremely kind of you. And regarding getting in touch, it would be extremely nice, guys - looking forward to it. Best, Tom
Just curious since you have pointed out some serious health related negatives what are some of the over riding factors in your decision to move there. Thanks.

How fast did that year go?
Looking forward to sharing many more with you both ❤
Thank you, Martine. I hope you and your man (Jack Black's brother from the looks of it 🤣) are doing well.
Is it cheaper in Jomtien and Bangkok?I don't like islands since it is too restrictive. I prefer city living and near malls and restaurants and shops.
Depends on where exactly you live and how old a place you are comfortable living in. There are cheaper options for sure.
17:17 all I think about is mosquitoes 😆 sitting outside like that.
We typically spray and burn incense but that night there weren’t any!
Thailand is the paradise and second home for all visitor!!!
For sure. We are glad to call Thailand our Home!
👍🥰🎉
Thanks!! Grateful for our Thai audience🥳
