question: I'm interested in this case, but the motherboard I'm interested in is an E-ATX 13mm wider than an ATX board (with normal ATX screw holes). So officially the case doesn't support the motherboard. But as far as I can tell from online pictures and documentation the only reason the motherboard couldn't be 13mm wider is because the SSD-tray would get in the way. It looks to me if I removed that and maybe replaced it with a 3D printed cover that allows more room I could fit the E-ATX board. Be Quiet however refuses to confirm or deny that the ssd-tray is the only real reason for not being able to fit the E-ATX board in, and I'm not about to buy the case to figure out whether it fits my needs. As far as you can tell is there any other reason than the SSD tray why a motherboard couldn't be 13mm extended to the front?
@@kordakyt2496 it can but it will have to be front mounted, I don't really like this because it greatly reduces airflow but it's not that big of a decrease
Love this case. I’ve only had it for a few weeks and still amazed by it. And this was my first time using a fan controller and didn’t know about the first pwm fan needing to be populated for my motherboard to see the rpm’s. It was driving me nuts for a while.
Also I was able to fit a Arctic liquid freezer 240 and the fit was tight but it was perfect. I was sure to wire things before I screwed it all in and love it. I like the tiny les strip at the top of case. It illuminate the rad nicely especially if the led goes has motion
really pleased with Be Quiet's decision to make the FX brand incorporate the premium Light Wings fan...it saved me from buying a nzxt h5 and separate light wings fan....
3x120 is a bit more area than 2x140 and also since they sit lower your GPU will get more air. If you think about it you get 4 PWM(!!!!) RGB fans + a controller + case for about the same amount, it's crazy value.
Case TOO SMALL for RTX 4070Ti?! Some of our regional PC builders/ PC configurators have disabled the option of chosing the 500FX case due to lack of space. They told me that some cards of the RTX 4000 series (e.g. the 4070Ti)) are TOO WIDE for this case and many customers complained about not being able to close the window completely. For the 500DX however there is no problem with those cards but the inside of the 500FX and 500DX are NOT identical! Can somebody confirm this please?
There shouldn’t be any difference between a 500DX and FX. At least not for compatibility. The problem you’re referring to is kinda unfair to put on the case. Due to when it came out, PCIE 12vhpwr was never considered. Thus the case will be able to fit the GPU, but the power plug itself adds a ton, making people unable to close the window. There are several, hundreds, of cases out there facing this problem right now. If you’re unsure, or if it doesn’t fit, you can always use a 90* adaptor, that solves the issue almost every time. Of course, only if the card itself fits in the first place
Pure Rock 2 in black (btw they also released a Pure Rock 2 FX which as you might've guessed comes with Light Wings ARGB fans but i cant find it anywhere. But i mean you can just buy the two seperately
I had the 500 DX, to me this isn't much of an improvement. Aside from making the rgb addressable and adding argb fans, not much changed. I honestly wish they would have moved the argb strips to the outer portion of the panel and kept the front mesh, think dark base rgb strips but on the mesh panel. Why have ring fans and then block all three down the middle with an argb strip. Also I know be quiet is more focused on the sound but they could have added 240mm rad support on the motherboard side where the ssd drives go. I'm not saying the strip on the mesh panel is that big of a deal, but not adding some new feature that sets it aside from the 500dx to the 500fx is just lazy and them recycling something they've already manufactured to try to sell more. I even wish they made a front mesh panel without any rgb sold separately.
cosidering the 10 dollar difference here plus having 4 good fans vs 3 ultra cheap fans i say its a good enough improvement. If anything they should of done this upgrade on the silent base 802 and given it 4 140 light wings pwm.
Problem to me is that the colour of the LED ring / case LED strips is too dim.. The lighting has no life... It's dull , in an otherwise very good looking case... Personally I think thinner fan rings would also look muuuch better. InWin have some much better looking ring style RGB fans.
I got this case. Let me tell you, if you're on the fence. GET IT. Its INSANE how much air this thing moves and it looks gorgeous

how much did you pay tho?
I got the case but do you know if it can fit a 3 fan AIO cooler, im talking about the be quiet pure loop 2 fx with 3 fans

My 500DX is coming in the mail today. It's for my wife, who doesn't care about RGB and the original will serve her perfectly.
I cant wait to get this case alongside the be quiet cpu cooler. An Absolute beast of a case!
The CPU cooler unfortunately isn’t as good as a Thermaltake Phantom Assasin or Phantom Spirit 😅

Thanks for this but I think a the Pure Loop 2 FX 240 would look slick mounted on the top.
This review had everything I wanted to know about this case, very well done.
Glad it helped!
@@STSYTwill the case good for good airflow With aircooling ? Is the case to small for rtx 4080 ans noctua nh-d15?
got one for 90e on sale and then it´s really worth the money fans alone and controler cost more seprated

Very very nice build 👍
Are the 6 140 fans included with the case? thank you
FX can be synchronized with the motherboard's RGB, DX can't , this is not a small difference unless you upgrade your DX with an RGB hub.
what temps you have on the ryzen 5800x3d with Be quiet! Pure Rock 2 FX
Would be interesting if a 280mm AiO fits on the top despite only supporting 240mm officially.
Question of the day: On this, is it possible have 2 x 140mm (or a 280 AIO) AND a 120mm fan in the front or will the stack of 2 x 140mm be to tall?
What length cable mod cables did you go with I would like to avoid having a huge mess of cables piled up behind the psu
Damn, no clue. If I had to guess, I was going with the standard that the configurator suggested
id buy this case if i werent so happy with my DX white - looks like bequiet is their own best competition
Thanks a lot for this video, it rescued me from buying liquid cooler for this case
Glad I could help
Can I fit a liquid cooler in this case? I'll be getting i7-13700KF with RTX 4080
If you install an aio pure loop 2 360mm at the front with the tubes on the bottom, tubes are said to be 400mm. Will it reach the cpu? Thanks.
Anybody knows if you can use control those ARGBs with synapse or not. Very nice review!
Is it better than the normal DX with it's 140mm fans?

Hey bro cool video...what cables do you use for the MB and the Gpu ? Are they rgb led ?
From his other build (500DX) it's custom Cablemod cables (Pro Mesh or something).
i have a question will this case fit a MB asus strix z790 e-gaming with dark rock 4 pro and geforce asus 3070ti tuf gaming
Yep
I love this case! Do you know where to get it for a cheaper price?
If you use Corsair rob ram modules, will the case controller be able to control the colors of those as well?
No bro. You need to use your mobo software too change the color.

cpu fan size. Which can fit?
So ive never had my own desktop. If there is only 1 usb port how do i use my keyboard mouse and headset if they require usb connection?
Your motherboard has a bunch of USB-Ports
@MrNamenloser21 yeahhhh I found that out later that night when looking at motherboard pics but thanks🤣
everything said here.
If whatever you mobo has in the back isn't enough, a hub will do too
This or the meshivy 2 rgb?
I'm planning to install an ASUS ROG Ryujin II 240 ARGB on top 🥺
I just noticed the CPU cooler.. what cooler is that?

It is the Pure Rock 2 FX, though it only comes with one fan.

How did you add additional fan to Pure Rock 2 cooler?
It’s the FX version, by using the included fan clips.
If you don’t have any, you can get these thin metal rods and form them yourself
Does it fit nzxt kraken 280 rgb on top ?
