Many people don’t make that in a month. They play games every 2-4 days. The MINIMUM salary is around $75k, not $50k. Now, they've lost teams and only have 12. There are a lot of extremely talented players that are getting cut even after being drafted high. They should take the next few years and look at areas around the country where they can expand to. They should get the total number of teams to 20 then adjust the revenue percentage that the players receive. Areas that could be ripe for expansion are Va. Forget lowering the rim, change the shot clock and let some action develop for once. There may be women who may see more chance for financial benefits in other lines of work coming out if college and decide to skip out on the opportunity of playing in the WNBA. And even if it would make more money than whatever other job most women don’t dream of being a professional athlete as it’s not seen to be as glorious and gluttonous as the male professional athlete lifestyle. Good or bad the money does attract talent. So depending on the level of investment it could be worth it. The WNBA only exists because the NBA pays for it, I don't get why so many people pretend anyone cares or will ever care about women's basketball or women's sports in general.

I'm convinced this response is what got Draymond a podcast deal on The Volume. Cowherd could have gotten any NBA player with a podcast if he wanted.

The problem is fans dont want to the 3rd basketball option. Especially with the NBA playoffs and NHL playoffs go on, the draft, baseball, golf, and overall leisure time to relax. The WNBA is always competing against mens sports.
