I'm (fashionably) late to the party, but I have a grievance with Hermes: they may be at the apex of the luxury market, but as a matter or principle I would never patronize their stores, even if I could afford a Birkin or Kelly, for the simple reason that the staff make a concerted effort to be rude to customers. Hermes is notorious for hiring dismissive, arrogant staff and I believe it's become part of the brand's identity. Rudeness is never elegant!

Great video. Just had a chat with a friend about this. I've noticed a lot of influencers have the same items, shoes, bags, clothes, sunglasses, etc. There's a worrying lack of individuality. My nightmare is walking into a room and seeing myself everywhere. I love the *jklux* bag right now because I find it unique, and the impetus to buy and spend your hard earned money should be because you "like" it. Conspicuous consumption is never a good thing, uniqueness is a mark of pride.
If you ever have the opportunity to travel to Italy, take the chance to buy bags in small local boutiques that sell what they produce themselves instead of big brands. Those small stores usually have the same same level of craftsmanship as known brands and also get their leather, silk, and wool from the very same providers as designer stuff. You can get much higher quality, more exclusive designs and even more elegance at an affordable price shopping in those small unknown underrated boutiques than getting designer stuff that everyone has. Always look for craftsmanship, quality, durability and elegance, not just a stupid brand.
Have you considered vintage or consignment stores? There are many online options such as Vestiaire Collective (I mention them because I have personal experience buying through them and have had no issues). Alternatively, look into brands like Aspinal of London, Furla or other Italian designers that are not as well known. The quality can often be on par or better than really high-end brands. Failing all this, if you have a cheaper leather handbag you can sometimes make it look more luxe with tasteful accessories (think a silk scarf tied on the handles).
Something I like about Anna is that when she is explaining she is also adding her experience and any of her past mistakes and what she did about it. It shows that she is still learning along with us kinda like a big sister/mentor. 🥰

Yes, a flat shoe guide would be nice. Take a hint from Queen Elizabeth and rather than super flat, wear a 1 - 2 inch heel often the most comfy. I love a ballet flat but the rounded toe is too casual for evening.
Absolutely! I love the Katherine/Audrey Hepburn look (brogues/flats with small heel/kitten heels). I have flat feet and bunions and incredibly bony feet with almost zero padding so comfort is KING. Can't go wrong with brogues. Puma makes pretty gorgeous and affordable sneakers, especially their fashion designer collabs.

Nice ! I don't spend more than about $500 on bags anymore since there are so many out there that are great around that price point (if someone wants to gift a more expensive one - fine). The nice thing is that it means there's more money to put in it (or in my TFSA)! Also, the value of a good bag is really in the way it ages too...
Absolutely. I do the same thing. I purchase bags from companies like Aspinal of London. They are easily as well made, and as stylish, as any "designer" handbag, for a tenth of the price. My investment was in my education, and I buy my own handbags.

I like Delvaux but not Moynat. Delvaux bags look clean, classy, and expensive. Moynat bags look to be mid level bags because the design is kind of meh.

The LV Capuchine isn’t for me. The quality isn’t really there. Plus if I was to have a logo on show (which I never) I definitely would NOT have an LV logo on show. If you don’t have money for designer bags spend money on high quality real leather handbags that are not mass market.

Designer hand bags to the modern women seems to be what is luxury cars to men. I don't regard both of them as investments. They are statement and consumption items that loose its value slowly but surely.

Anna, please make elegant fashion videos for young girls as well, who are in their early twenties like 21 plus and university going. It is really exhausting to decide which style should we prefer because if we go for pastel colors we are considered too minimal of our age and if we go for dark and mixed colors it seems too much. I prefer the Hermes Lindy -- I have it in several colors, it is very discrete, not heavy for its size, and it is easy to take my things from one bag to the other -- everything is in a purse organizer and in the same place. For its profile, it holds a lot! I also like the Bottega Veneta double chain tote, again it has a flat profile but holds a lot, with no logos. It's great to watch you moving into your cool color wardrobe, with the icy lemon sweater here and the lavender sweater, and the cool rose lipstick. The pastels are very flattering and very soft -- easy to watch and so feminine.

Who can afford a Hermes bag. The stores that sell them are so stuck up because they choose who they want to sell to. Also, why would anyone spend thousands of dollars on one because after all it is a very small piece of leather so even if they are hand made they, in my opinion are not worth the price. You can look elegant with much cheaper bags. I know you don’t like Coach but they make some really nice & classy looking handbags.

We have very similar taste, craftmanship is essential. for me the details that matter the most are that the leather, structured or not, is visibly qualitative, so no saffiano leather or untextured leather, aswell as having a proper structure to a bag that is meant to be stiff, instead of a firm leather that still easily bends/ bulges. My key detail is the edge coating, non-coated (sewn/folded, like e.g. on a chanel) is prefered, but if there is an edgecoat it should be as thin and precise as possible and in a colour that matches or goes with the bag. A bag I feel like represents what I dislike well is the Prada galleria. It doesn‘t have the cleanest edge coat and it is usually black, even on a nude or blush bag, it has plasticky saffiano and if you put for example a bit larger waterbottle in it it will misshape the bag, despite being considered a luxury bag at the matching price. Mulberry would be another example of poorer craftmanship, aswell as some Gucci bags.

Look out also for Strathberry, Mulberry's zipped Bayswater and JP Tod bags. Teddy Blake and Everlane offer collections made in Italy, but if you are in Florence, check out Parri- they have exquisite hand made classic shaped bags. .
You got a great taste in bags! Most of the time I'm shopping on the budget but choosing simple shapes , good leather, no logos and no extra stuff is a way to go! For me personally!
There’s such a thing as casual vs formal, I think you just need to know the difference between the two and what is suitable to wear on such occasions. It’s also all about how you carry herself that makes you classy and nothing to do with a designer bag no matter how expensive it is!
I always liked the Sac de jour but I started seeing a lot of photos of celebrities with theirs and it ages so bag. Like the shape of theirs looks like a moldy tomato now. Maybe it’s just because they don’t take care of their bags well but it really turned me off from buying one, if that’s what it’s gonna look like in the future.
I love British bags like Launer and Aspinal better. They aren’t so over priced and so predictable. I’d prefer to have my money in the stock market working for me than invested in a purse that depreciates. Plus if they are good enough for Kate Middleton, they are fine for me.
The YSL Sac du Jour & Céline are my favorites, love the minimalist look. Hermès bags are too classic for my taste. In France, old ladies wore it a lot in the 50s-60s, I imagine it stuck with me.

Nice ! I don't spend more than about $500 on bags anymore since there are so many out there that are great around that price point (if someone wants to gift a more expensive one - fine). The nice thing is that it means there's more money to put in it (or in my TFSA)! Also, the value of a good bag is really in the way it ages too...
Absolutely. I do the same thing. I purchase bags from companies like Aspinal of London. They are easily as well made, and as stylish, as any "designer" handbag, for a tenth of the price. My investment was in my education, and I buy my own handbags.

St. Laurent bag is a great first designer bag! I’ve loved YSL forever.
Yves was the first designer to popularize and also make it acceptable for women to wear tuxedo trousers and blazers as evening wear.

I like Delvaux but not Moynat. Delvaux bags look clean, classy, and expensive. Moynat bags look to be mid level bags because the design is kind of meh.

The LV Capuchine isn’t for me. The quality isn’t really there. Plus if I was to have a logo on show (which I never) I definitely would NOT have an LV logo on show. If you don’t have money for designer bags spend money on high quality real leather handbags that are not mass market.

Anna, could you also recommend bags without leather / animal cruelty? I do not consider buying an expensive bag when animals have been tortured and killed for it. Maybe you could do a "vegan" version of your video? Would be very helpful. I also see that you are actually trying to live sustainably and you mention animal cruelty in a few videos. I love that. Please give attention to these topics when it comes to bags, because there are a lot of people who do not think about it and spend so much money on products that support animal cruelty. Anna, please make elegant fashion videos for young girls as well, who are in their early twenties like 21 plus and university going. It is really exhausting to decide which style should we prefer because if we go for pastel colors we are considered too minimal of our age and if we go for dark and mixed colors it seems too much. Also, it is hard to decide bags, heels and what not. I hope you will consider this request.

I prefer the Hermes Lindy -- I have it in several colors, it is very discrete, not heavy for its size, and it is easy to take my things from one bag to the other -- everything is in a purse organizer and in the same place. For its profile, it holds a lot! I also like the Bottega Veneta double chain tote, again it has a flat profile but holds a lot, with no logos.
It's great to watch you moving into your cool color wardrobe, with the icy lemon sweater here and the lavender sweater, and the cool rose lipstick. The pastels are very flattering and very soft -- easy to watch and so feminine.

Who can afford a Hermes bag. The stores that sell them are so stuck up because they choose who they want to sell to. Also, why would anyone spend thousands of dollars on one because after all it is a very small piece of leather so even if they are hand made they, in my opinion are not worth the price. You can look elegant with much cheaper bags. I know you don’t like Coach but they make some really nice & classy looking handbags.

Anna I remember first seeing your videos I wasn’t quite sure how to take your advice. Someone had left a negative comment about you which was quite mean and degrading to which of course, you did not respond to. With each new video you have put out it is clear that you are the complete opposite of what the comment was about. You have so much class and you’re highly intelligent and I must say that you have to be commended for achieving so much for a young woman. Yes the capucines is a dream bag for me that I’d have to save for. It’s on the higher end of luxury bags in my opinion
We have very similar taste, craftmanship is essential. for me the details that matter the most are that the leather, structured or not, is visibly qualitative, so no saffiano leather or untextured leather, aswell as having a proper structure to a bag that is meant to be stiff, instead of a firm leather that still easily bends/ bulges. My key detail is the edge coating, non-coated (sewn/folded, like e.g. on a chanel) is prefered, but if there is an edgecoat it should be as thin and precise as possible and in a colour that matches or goes with the bag. A bag I feel like represents what I dislike well is the Prada galleria. It doesn‘t have the cleanest edge coat and it is usually black, even on a nude or blush bag, it has plasticky saffiano and if you put for example a bit larger waterbottle in it it will misshape the bag, despite being considered a luxury bag at the matching price. Mulberry would be another example of poorer craftmanship, aswell as some Gucci bags.
"Unless you have your partner who would buy it for you." Wrong, we should buy it ourselves and earn them.

There’s such a thing as casual vs formal, I think you just need to know the difference between the two and what is suitable to wear on such occasions. It’s also all about how you carry herself that makes you classy and nothing to do with a designer bag no matter how expensive it is!

I always liked the Sac de jour but I started seeing a lot of photos of celebrities with theirs and it ages so bag. Like the shape of theirs looks like a moldy tomato now. Maybe it’s just because they don’t take care of their bags well but it really turned me off from buying one, if that’s what it’s gonna look like in the future.
I love British bags like Launer and Aspinal better. They aren’t so over priced and so predictable. I’d prefer to have my money in the stock market working for me than invested in a purse that depreciates. Plus if they are good enough for Kate Middleton, they are fine for me.

The YSL Sac du Jour & Céline are my favorites, love the minimalist look. Hermès bags are too classic for my taste. In France, old ladies wore it a lot in the 50s-60s, I imagine it stuck with me.
