Thank you for not playing music while u drove cause omg that sound is so intoxicating
Finally a car presenter/reviewer that pushes hard on a racing car, great video
I love how everyone is so nice in the comments
Thats because we are all PistonHeads 😉, no assholes here.
The presenter Sheehan, he was my classmate. Nice to see you again.
this guy is great!! proper drive
0:20 This is Amazing photography combined with a car that looks so good....it always looks like its in motion. To my eyes this looks frozen in time, high speed and a moment all in one.
I thought the same! Really nice!
Surperb video, great sound with headphones on and really well presented, more of the same please! 👍
Wow, what an experience. Seriously man, congratulations! There's so many of us PistonHeads that would sell our kidneys to be able to walk a mile in your shoes, to be able to experience just a teaspoon of that moment. That's pretty cool, well done!
Wonderful video. Great job of conveying what it felt like.
Top vid. I' feel like I've done a lap in an RSR myself after watching that!
Good presenter 👍🏻
I love how the race car has the engine mounted on the right part of the chassis 😌😏
This variant.... GT3R and GT3 Cup still rear engine cars :D
I did a taster in a single seater. After being rubbish in an M4, I was..... apprehensive of this little thing with a box on the wrong side. You're spot on when you say your nerves disappear when totally focussed. Your post ride explosion of words resonates highly!
You know it’s good when it looks really fast on a video! Amazing!
What an amazing opportunity to drive the RSR!
i love that car so much, it's so wide, low and has very voluptuous hips, overall a beautiful car, everything has a purpose
WOW. What a car! What an experience! Excellent video 👍🏻
Great vid! Beautiful lines on that car, stunning. And very interesting to see that if you want a 911 to handle really well, you set it up like a mid engined Cayman :)
Hehe. Although I think rotating the engine/gearbox assembly 180° is just as much about making room for the huge diffuser that generates loads of rear downforce as anything else.
Amazing content. Must have a been a dream to drive such a car.
This is the sort of thing that we want great video
This video deserves more views !
The old one sounded so much better!
Fortunately they are going back to the old exhaust
@@joe718gt4 Really?
@@dekingburger ruclips.net/video/fogAtGRI-mA/видео.html
@@joe718gt4 Great, muffled but still a great sound. Miles better than this here!
Fun fact, the side pipe 4.2 liter model is actually louder than the 4 liter model. Imagine that. The 4 liter split everyone’s ears in person and drowned out the sound of all the other cars
Great Video! God I love Porsche racecars!
Wow, what a cool video. What an amazing car!
Race on!
great video, great reviewer whoever he is.
Great vid
Awesome video
Superb handling razor sharp corner attack
Absolutely beautiful machine
Nice stuff- like this guy
Nice video, I love this car, shame we did not see the engine bay. thank you
Top work
Looks and sounds a brilliant experience. Do I want it in my life ? Hell yes :)
Well driven sir
Like this guy. Good drive as well
A bit of irony on this “911” is that it’s built on the Cayman platform. This was confirmed by a very good friend who has worked for Porsche for 30 years and is connected with their US Motorsports arm in Southern California. I’m a lifelong Porsche fan, but even they know the 911 should be mid engined.
I love it, what a car!
Hello
One question, what is the weight of this porsche 911 rsr?
Fantastic! Imagine a spec series with this car and the very best drivers, would be fantastic....
I'd argue what we had from 2017-2020 was better anyway
Is it automatic gear shifting or is he manually pushing something?
I love the RSR... 😍
Awesome
Thank you for the lap with just engine. I unsubscribe from channels that put music over the engine, they aren't car people
This 1 build to race !
Wow
Do. More. Race. Cars. Do. More. Race. Cars.
Why no ELD´s on the steering??
epic!
Mantap Bro
Dude I don't think you blinked during that hot lap!
A-1 video review
Someone needs to make a body kit like that style
Beauty 🥰
Engine in the middle??? .....So its a CAYMAN!
Why didn’t you mention this 911 RSR’s *front double wishbone suspension* that is superior to EVERY other Porsche 911 with the econo-box front *MacPherson Strut Junk Suspension?*
Amazing! More endurance car vids like this! AMG GT3 next!!
It’s my favorite car in iracing….it’s as close as I can get lol
I really hope they put this 4.2 liter motor in a road legal 911
Craig David on Porsche nice.
It was homologated as a rear engine car then they had to whine and cry to get them to allow the engine to be moved forward to get better balance etc. The other manufactures don't have to move their engines.....use all of that engineering to make the car work or use a different car with a mid mounted engine.
So technically its a cayman? 👹
that na engine or turbo?
Naturally aspirated 🔊
must be really cold up there
Great review. HP is 414 not 420.
510*
You will be missed.
Fred Makowiecki ;-)
I have a 1:12 scale model of this car...001/100 of the amount made
Too bad this is the side exhaust 991 RSR. The center-rear exhaust 991 is the real killer. 😁
Wrong within the first 30 seconds. It is "a 911 road car that's been ramped up to race specification", otherwise it wouldn't be allowed to race in GTE. Parts like the chassis and engine block are required to be based on the road car.
You're not wrong, but in terms of percentage I bet that car is 40% stock AT MOST
Lucky b...
You would assume that an automotive journalist would know how to say the name of the track he is at -_-
If this engine doesn't get you hard there's something wrong with you
Holy crap assetto corsa sounds just like the real thing
I still prefer the engine to scream and not "fart". This new version of the RSR sounds like its constantly having diarrhea
There should be a racing league where manufacturers really race what they make.
Gt3 is as close as you'll get without BOP it'll be impossible to make the racing compelling without it. Unless we go back to the old days with unlimited budgets and testing, which unfortunately isn't gonna happen again.
@@aproductofboredom Nope, what you sell is what you race. win on sunday sell on monday.
@@Random415510 you're in fantasy land then. By the time you get a road car able to do a full race duration, whilst being safe enough for the driver you'll pretty much have something similar gt3 car. Without BOP the car with the most power will win most of the time like Mercedes F1.
@@aproductofboredom That's simply not true, hellcats have hella power & we know those couldn’t win a road race against miata.
@@Random415510 I'm speaking in reference to the porsche in this video and it's counterparts that are in its class to keep the discussion simple. There's a reason why your idea isn't in practice. Manufacturers would probably love racing stock cars, because it would be much cheaper, but the playing field wouldn't be level which is why we have rules and regulations that are class dependent.
I always laugh when people pay more for carbon brakes because they are "for the track", when in fact they never track their cars, and that all actual race cars use steel brakes. Sure that carbon brakes are lighter but they cost a lot to replace, and they suck in normal road use.
Why is it necessary to use 'proper' so many times. We know it's a race car.
This is not really a 911 is it ?
a cayman in 911 dress
@@cayman9815 ?
That’s a thicc boy
Its still a PORSCHE...not a Poarsh. 😡
