How To Play In The Air Tonight On Guitar By Phil Collins! In today's lesson we'll learn this classic from Phil Collins released in 1981. First we'll learn the chord progressions for each section which use triads on the top 3 strings while keeping an open D note pedaling through the chord progression. Then we are going using the melody as inspiration for soloing. The majority of the melody comes from the pentatonic scale in Dm of which I will show you a few scale patterns for as well.
