Every great musician I've ever heard is immediately identifiable as such by how much they gush over the musicianship of the other people they admire. They're each worth 100,000 regular listeners when it comes to how much they hear and appreciate what others do. If I only sold 3 copies of my next CD, I'd be happy as long as one of them went to somebody like Mr. Sklar.

@@rc2634 sure thing. I just noticed that Leland also appears at time 6:50, playing his bass. If I had noticed that before, I wouldn't have assumed he was a CG image. Anyway, he's got to be the coolest looking bass player in the whole world!

I was lucky enough to see you guys play twice (both times in Washington DC in the 90's) and twice wasn't nearly enough.

Trademark beard still stands from when I saw, as a pre-teen, the Serious Hits...Live! video (and listened to it on repeat on CD). What a legend, Leland Sklar! Much love from Bangladesh.

Can you imagine, everytime you are going to listen to a song you like, it is "your song"? Like, this guy has been everywhere so he's actually always hearing to himself playing "all day"!! But what's actually funny is that he reached a point where he doesn't have any ego anymore, musically at least, so it's not narcissistic or egocentric, quite the opposite. It's just beautiful to hear your music overall, your stories and experiences, and most of all, thank you. Because of you we can enjoy music in a way that we wouldn't otherwise; with a different bassist, maybe it would be better or worse, but the point is, it is perfect the way it is and trying to write this one doesn't even expresses 10% of the feelings I have when I hear to your bass. You're a legend and a big inspiration for where I wanna be as a human being when I get older. Cheers ❤️
