It that the marvelous Mavor? The monumental machine, the massive mortar, the mile-high monolith of map-spanning mayhem Mavor?
Big pee pee gun
There are two types of people ^
@@kareemmelis7717 made my day :D
The peebus of doom!
Aeon: We use alien technology to generate unlimited mass and energy. Our great creations blot out the sun.
Cybran: Our colossal war machines are extremely versatile, and designed to act on any contingency.
UEF: Huhuhuhu, BIG GUN! *Obliterates half a continent*
Man I forgot just how amazing this game was. Getting back into it years after playing it as a kid.
I'm not going to lie I missed this game.
It's a bit weird that the Mavor's accuracy was so greatly reduced. It was its defining feature. Now with lower accuracy but (I think) bigger blasts, it's kind of the same as the Cybran and Aeon T4 artillery.
It's far from the scathis and salvation
The thing with the mavor in FAF is that he has enough AOE so that you cannot, Seraphim or not, turtle against it for long. The accuracy was important but the Mavor is still a piece of art.
Way back when it used to have perfect accuracy (or close to it) and ignored shields.
@@kylehunt4673 Huh, I don't remember it bypassing shields. I know tac missiles used to, which they don't seem to do anymore.
@@bificommander7472 It was before Forged Alliance in the base game
It's amazing of just how great Sup Com is, no other game has this level of balance between ground, air, and naval units, while mixing in base construction.
Thanks Gyle. My drunk gf now saying all the time "Wawawewa"
That's amazing. 😃
Borat?
Glanced at this comment before watching. Was thinking wtf is he in about. Hahaha never mind… so good.
If you can't answer the Mavor in kind, then it's a gg my dude.
MVP Mavor for sure.
Wawaweewa was the standout player for me, played well above his ranking. Good show.
Not counteirng Juicy's airforce at all was also another blunder I think lol
Mavor is fun when you just tell it to target an enemy commander. The lower accuracy doesn't matter as the enemy commander is likely to run to their base to build stuff to protect themselves
I have seen quite a few games where the side with the Mavor lost, the counter to the Mavor in this case is RAS support commanders, lots of them.
When the enemy can build a Mavor then you should be able to build a ton of support commanders in the meanwhile, hide them under water and spam experimentals or keep them moving.
back in the day we settled our problems on setons clutch, great map
differences?
When Padoru?
1:05:53 Lol 314K mass killed with that one nuke xD
Porcupine's GCU: This is madness!
Boomstik's 300 T1 bombers: THIS IS SETONS!
"turtles belong in the sea" nice one, Gyle
Juicy was the hands down mvp of this match. Had he not gotten the mavor and satellites up when he had this game would have gone the other way losing both oceans.
That was epic frustration on Vodoo air trows, specially the one at 47min into the game, parking them in front of the enemy ASF force. It was the first time that I ever cursed out loud watching a SCFA game.
haha yeah and then he clicked on some pixels and they moved to some other pixels
No matter how long i'm away from supcom, it will always be an amazing game to watch and play. so many great moves made during this match and i'm not even finished watching yet :). Thank you Gyle for another great cast!
how did you stay awake?
@@mrosskne its an acquired taste
Ah yes Setons 4x4 and nuke spam this was a treat for the casual observer EPIC in the sense that you rarely see a game finish without a player loss on 1 team , team work is underrated , Great cast from Gyle as always we missed your casts there for a bit my friend and i think its fair to say you missed casting looking forward to the next 1
It was really surprising to see it take so long for the first ejection. And that first mavor kill.. what a shot!
You'd think the Mavor got its accuracy back it was so pinpoint=)
Haven't heard the word 'queef' in a hot minute. Thank you for your bravery Gyle.
I snorted loudly in the middle of the night and my cat just gave me a disgusted look. Good stuff lol.
lol, must've missed that. When does he say it? :D
@@Kepe Right at the start
I don't comment on these videos half as much as I should. Thanks Gyle, they're brilliant. The endless references and metaphors are gold 😂
Please keep them coming and I am keen to hear more about Sanctuary as well if you get chance!
a comfy 4v4 on setons AND lategame artillery? is it my birthday?
"You can assist build with the mantis"
WHAT THE HELL?! These casts should be mandatory noob viewing. e: OMG and the Aeon SCU sacrifice for the GC insta build by red. That was awesome!
GG to team 1 who were really good to help assist the push back at the north pond. I've seen games where at that point players will just say 'Good job, you failed to hold your side now we lost because of you' - but teamwork saved the day and paid off in the long run.
I had no idea which way this was going to go for a long time, that mavor snipe on the first Team 2 ACU was huge. This was the perfect showcase for how important that rear player is, Team 2 controlled both oceans and were holding their own on the centre but it would ultimately not make a difference due to Team 1's rear going unscathed.
Team one won both air supremacy and artirelly race. and as his team was retreating he slowly tore up the enemy bases he was a true mvp utalizing what he had
Looks like they won through a war of attrittion and slowly grinding their enemy down while adding more pressure of control over a vast expanse of territory. A wonderful idea and well played out as well.
Find someone who loves you like Gyle loves the Summit
Getting to end the day putting my feet up and watching an Epic by Gyle. Nothing quite like it. Best days of my life.
This game was lost when Voodoo lost air control and never regained it, meant they weren't able to counter the Mavor and they were too late to the artillery game.
ive held for a while, that supcom proves the adage of artillery being queen of the battlefield, nevermind the mavor, the number of games ive won once i got entrenched artillery
Me, happy to see the Cybran background:
*You leave my spiky space socialists alone*
Inwouod like to see other backgrounds tbh. I’ve never seen the Aeon and Seraphim ones (assuming they exist)
@@soulgamer612 they do, they are in some of his older casts
cringe
Acktually, Mavor fires anti-matter shells not mini nukes.
Potato, potahto. Doesn't matter what they are. Shell go boom and enemy go REEE! Seeing one in a Gyle cast makes us happy.
@@DraknalHitdan I'm just nitpicking really
BIG PP GUN DESTROYS YOUR OPINION CUZ IT DOESN'T CARE.
pretty sure the mavor fires anti vagina shells
Of all the casts I have watched over these many years, I have to say that this was one of the most unique games I have ever seen... what a replay! Great cast Gyle... please keep them coming as people like me who can no longer play the game really enjoy observing others enjoy its epicness!
setons epic, hell yes.
cheers Gyle
Great to see a video with Voodoo again. Been following you for years and always enjoyed your vids. Keep them coming Gyle.
I'm honestly surprised to see that Mavor survive so long. Wawaweewa had half a dozen nuke subs and and incredibly strong eco to feed them, yet only launched 2 missiles all game?
Amazing that people are still playing this game in 2021....i honestly had no idea there were ever tourney's as well.
I discovered this game a week ago. Far cry difference from Red Alert that I'm used to.
Wow, i cant believe ive never seen this old jewel of a game. I adore Planetary Annihilation, i'll give this game a go too.
I thought that total annihilation was a one only gem, turns out I was wrong I love this challenging game!
That was a fantastic game, I haven't watched FAF content for a bit and that was a great way to get back in
I don't know why this suddenly got recommended to me but my god am I thankful. Amazing content and I definitely subscribed! Keep up the good work :)
What a fantastic game! I have to say, I really enjoy these games they'r so... Like a good movie! Thank you Gyle.
I'd say that Team 1 overcommitted to naval forces. They put a LOT of battleships and misc support in the water, but other than that tac missile base being able to knock out the first Scathis, they were never able to put a sufficient land push together to take advantage of their naval superiority - so they ended up with a lot of battleships with nothing to shoot at, whereas Juicy's air superiority was maintained for the entire game, giving them much more flexibility - while the Mavis and Satellites just steadily and patiently tore apart their infrastructure.
The insta-collosus was the finishing spike, after that it was very much over - though that sneak nuke near the end was a nice parting gift.
35:35 not quite sure why this wasn't placed direct on the engineers to kill the T3 naval yard. 50:27 though is legitimately the most clutch mayvor round... I cannot believe that hit lol should have stayed under shield coverage. Pretty huge throw!
Im a simple man
I see Setons Clutch, i click on the video
"Oh look a Nuke, i wonder how much it will kill?"

*EVERYTHING*
I think most of RTS game should make a massive map like this. It feel more realistic that in a war should make a base far from your enemy.
Most RTS also need the strategic zoom. I am missing that so much when playing company of heroes 2.
@@jamaly77 try out act of aggression
damn that really was a back and forth. even after losing control of both oceans, team 1 was still able to get by with air control and artillery. honestly i wasn't expecting that instabuild colossus in voodoos base but that was a well played risk that paid off well. probably one of the best matches i've seen.
Voodoo giving the term ''rusty'' a new meaning.
Saw setons and knew it would be good.
What a stressfull game for both teams!
Another amazing EPIC from out favourite Gyle!
*reads thumbnail*
Always Gyle. Always.
This is some good retro epic stuff
EDIT: The instabuild strategy by Risineo is absolutely amazing
can someone explain what that instabuild strategy is? am not familiar with the game
@@RUclipsBuild-b7b Aeon engineers (and SACUs by extension, which is relevant to us now) can "sacrifice" themselves and instantly add their mass to a construction. He basically made a fuckton of SACUs, sacrificed them and finished his build instantly. It's a really underutilized ability of the Aeon military.
@@beetheimmortal ah I see, thanks for the explanation! yes I see how that could "instantly" create something now
Yeah, those bulwarks are all fair and balanced, aren't they?
Excellent game. Was really expecting the top crew to lose there for a while. Amazing how it can go the other way. That lucky shot with the mavor was amazing
The lost both navies but they won air convincingly. Having won air, BoomStickJuice decided to spend his mass on stand off tactics. I think more so than it being a comeback, Team 1 won with their superior strategy. On the other hand, I think Team 2 got complacent after winning navy. Scouting the mavor early and then going for regular T3 artillery would probably have countered all of Team 1's hope. A very amusing game!
It wasn't really superior strategy, it was more like having a teammate that was dragging you down. Being the highest rated player, Voodoo played like a sub 800. Team 2 was playing 3 vs 4 from the very beginning and they lost on having no scouts, which was 1 of 2 job's Voodoo had, and both was none existent.
Wow that was a great game. That Mavor is a beast! So cool.
"i have a few bombers" -Juiceee
man i haven't played supreme commander 2 in years, i loved that you could use dual monitors
the good old days
This was excellent one of the best matches i have seen in a while
Hey im famous!! Watching this back, I Should of won this game with air so much earlier then we did hahah
Holy shit, didin't expect that ending. Team 2 was dominating in both side of the sea but still lost. The defining moment was that lucky Mavor shot on greys ACU.
Havent yet watched the full vid but your intro made me do a legit spit take. Well done sir!
I've watched a couple of these Supreme commander replays on this channel now and so is this
game just a race to OP artillery? I've seen that become the central "game changer" or game killer
multiple times as there is no counter or point then?
Why can't they shoot down enemy satellites? for a sci-fi rts seems not well thought out since we've been able to shoot them down for 50 plus years now lol.
enjoy the commentary! the best part by far
I also don't like the T3 artillery. I have never played the game myself, so maybe I'm missing something, but such an end game isn't really satisfying and isn't feeling deserved. I was looking for something about this in the comment section, but the mayority seems to like it
1:05:53 *Instant full vet* XD
That intro went places man lmao
This game was sick. Thanks for uploading it :-)
That battleship at the end didn't have radar vision of the Megalith. I think yellow didn't even know it was there
i've had a lot of respect for wawa for how well he plays
until he started saying stuff like "worst player", "retard air"
and poof, all of that respect was gone
Aww do you need a hug

57:56 Tele GC. What a match! Together with the scathis, being killed by the missile firebase.. just great!
It's been so many years since the last one. Glad the tactic was used again.
Geez, I would love to join this game
Missing your casts Gyle. Having withdrawal symptoms, hope you’re good.
Did you realize that all Kills were made by BoomStickJuicy?
Holy crap!! There are still Supreme Commander servers running?
It's quite active actually, everyone is playing through the Forged Alliance Forever client.
I saw the comments on the forums about this guy putting hotdogs in his rear. Had to check it out. I think he does.
Boomstick carried really hard, but this was team 2's game to lose. Porcupine did so well, pretty much beating two players with a number of good moves, but the team failed to chase the win conditions.
Purple consistently met orange's ASFs properly. Orange's were facing the other way and those few salvos purple's ASFs put in before they mingled won him air supremacy
Bitcoin at 100k... Dollars? Euro? Pounds? it's at 413k NOK. UEF background next video confirmed!
Has to be in Dollars my friend.
Amazing cast!
56:00 looks like it was artillery from salter but it got crushed
What a blessed day!
And a blessed thumbnail!
Team 1 air player really leveraged that artillery well
SETOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Thanks for the cast sir.
Setons clutch always delivers
My favorite player is back!! WaWaWeWa for the win! this was posted 4 minutes in...
Juicy doing his best 'USAF in Vietnam' cosplay at the end there
Been awhile since a good Setons Clutch, nice.
I chuckle every time I hear wawaweewa.
This game was CRAZY
I was really surprised nobody died on Team 1 lol
Having watched a couple of these I am wondering why a typical gambit is not having two of the players on one side engage the enemy com in the center, it feels like two players could easily take out an over-extended single com on the bridge before they get away.
I need captain TORRES to scream one million live everytime Mavor shoot
I downloaded supreme Commander a few months ago and it ran like crap I was really surprised. I guess it's only using one core right what mods do you guys recommend to get this thing to run right on modern computers.
It runs quite well on my aging i7 7700k. You tried with the FAF client, right? Steam version is awful.
On the FAF client you could use the simspeed mod or the FAF develop version, which supposedly runs even smoother (I've never tried).
Why there is no slow down?
Wow what a comeback!
I love that the video with the most suggestive thumbnail has the biggest ammount of views :D
Great cast!
Team 2 threw the game. Rock just walzed 5 battleships in to the harms while going game ender when top has air is probably one of the worst decisions you can do. If Rock ground fired the harms and put some sams up with the SACU's it would have been an easy win.
Absolutely EPIC!
Voodoo had a much better environment to develope his Air when wawwewa was trying his best pushing naval towards the coast , but Voodoo just bailed out with nothing critically done to his enemy , He's just dreamwandering in this match.
Summit did not fire back because of the lack of intel to do so
Amazing job on the commentary
58:22 - did that red SCU teleported out after finishing the build
Oh yeah THIS is what I like to see
I don't know, team 2 looked like they had solid pressure then looked like they kind of rolled over as soon as the horde of bombers came out. No flak lines and shields to cover battle ships which could have carved way more of the map up. As soon as wawee was ousted the top pond barely moved and he did have nuke subs up there. Looks like they sent torp bombers after the last one at 1:06:14. Wonder how many nukes they had. Obviously mostly just benefit of hindsight, I barely can control the legs on my com.
yeah south team was super-slow in applying the pressure they could have- mid was undefended for ages, so was beach... yet first invasion they mounted was against rock.
ofc i agree- it's easier to see this stuff when yr not playing, but if you do crush beach/mid your job as rock is to invade it & harass; make sure the enemy can't just sit back & make mavors, while your nukesubs load :)
