Most Delicious Homemade Til Mawa Ladoos | Makar Sankranti Special

- 🌿Ingredients:
1 cup sesame seeds, lightly roasted
1 cup Mawa/khoya (milk solids, homemade or store-bought)
2 tbsp ghee
1 cup jaggery (adjust as per your liking)
1/2 cup unsweetened milk powder
1/2 raisins, chopped
1/3 cup desiccated coconut
2 tsp cardamom powder
A few pistachios, sliced for garnish
👉Method:
Heat a pan on medium heat and then dry roast the sesame seeds for 2 to 3 minutes until they start popping and start releasing a pleasant aroma.
Once the sesame seeds have lightly roasted allow them to cool down and then transfer to a blender jar and ground them on pulse mode just once or twice until you achieve a course powder like consistency.
Now pour some key into a pan or kadai, once melted add jaggery and stir well until the jaggery melts completely. This should take approximately one to two minutes on low heat now add the homemade mawa and cook on low flame while stirring occasionally for about five minutes until the mawa becomes soft and golden. Make sure that it doesn’t burn.
Now add the unsweetened powder milk, and give everything a good mix and cook for another two minutes. Then add reasons and desiccated coconut and give this all a good mix until everything is mixed really well.
Finally add the roasted sesame seeds and freshly ground cardamom. Mix well, turn the stove off and let the mixture cool down until it’s easy to handle.
Once the mixture is comfortably warm, take the desired amount of the mixture into your palms. Copy your palm slightly and apply even pressure with both palms while rotating just as shown in the video.
Start with light pressure to gather the mixture in between your palms first, and then gradually increase pressure as the ladoos start forming. Don’t squeeze too hard on the ladoos will crumble.
To give these ladoos their perfect round shape, please stand in between your palms and roll them in a circular motion for a few seconds until you get that perfect round.
Repeat the same process for the remaining ladoos and set aside. Garnish with some sliced pistachios and they are ready to serve.
