Making a satire out of it is the only way to deal with racism.
it was the motif of the refugee boat that framed the music video. Because it starts with Rammstein arriving on an island in a rubber dinghy and it ends with all the band members leaving the island on the rubber dinghy, with the exception of Flake, who is first forgotten and then held back.
Which is a lot of cliché, fits damn well with the lyrics of the song and the associated meta level. Because: On a lyrical level, the song is clear. It's about globality instead of nationality. About the German cosmopolitan traveling abroad. About the German globetrotter as an enemy. About someone who wants to impress the ladies in foreign countries with pseudo-worldly gibberish.
This is exactly what they wanted to emphasize by using authentic materials on both sides, as explained further in the making-of video. For example, Flake's (historical) silk suit still said "Deutsch-Südwest-Afrika", a German colony in what is now Namibia.
Arriving on the island, the white colonialists give Rammstein to a tribe of black natives. And they don't leave out any clichés.

as always with Rammstein for free interpretation. Rammstein comment on modern sex tourism with the song "Ausländer". They show the contradiction between the words and the deeds of the sex tourists. These men pretend to be travelers and interested parties, but this is not reflected in their behavior.😂😂

Anhand der Kleidung kann ich sicher sein, dass es sich nicht um Germanen, sondern um Briten handelt, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie sehr die deutschen Forscher zwischen 1880 und 1920 von britischen Sitten und Gebräuchen beeinflusst waren.
I like the faces she made bc it shows the reality & it was hard to watch bc the truth is not as funny or as satirical as the music video! It was honest to the imagery & even if it is satirical that doesn’t always make it easier for some.
