It was 1997 when "Du Hast" was released, I was 4 years old and it blew my mind as a kid when I saw the video on MTV. I'll never forget that day and I will always remember when my Mom kept re-recording the video on VHS, so she can show my Dad once he came home from work. It blew his mind as well because we became huge fans ever since that day and Rammstein never disappointed us since. Now, fast forward 25 years later and I finally went to my first Rammstein concert here in NJ at MetLife Stadium. As in my Dad's honor, especially since it has been 10 years since he has have been gone, I made sure to not miss this show at all. I took my 64 year old rockstar Mom along with me because she's a metalhead herself and we couldn't miss this opportunity. Plus, Mom and I just couldn't stop headbanging to every song Rammstein played and we were in section 226, which was an excellent experience and I uploaded some videos myself on RUclips. By the way, to all of you on here, Rammstein is one of my all time favorite bands and definitely the greatest band you will ever since live, which is why I recommend you all to one day go to their concert. 🎸🤘
that is very amazing Rammstein is my favorite band. That and also Lindemann in general Till is my favorite but they are all interesting people. It’s great that your mother also loves this music. I lost both my parents when I was in my 20s, anything you can do with your mother, cherish that
Best convert I've ever been to was a Rammstein one. The sheer power of the speakers (I believe it's around 2 million watts) was incredible! EVERYTHING shakes, your own chest thumps with the bass drum. The heat from the fire is incredible, the lights are beautifully well timed and the quality of the sound is just perfect.
It's actually not blood but a pyrotechnical gel, but it adds to the overall image, doesn't it :P And in the case of Rammstein, sometimes it's hard to tell :D Dudes are crazy but at the same time they are the most creative band I've ever seen. You should dive deeper into their music, it won't disappoint. They WILL surprise you A LOT - I can guarantee that ;) Just one thing: please, watch their vids with subtitles (at least half of the overall experience lies in their lyrics and how they came up with the visuals). In general, this is one of the best live bands ever (if not the best) but they have also high-quality, very creative official music videos. And way more complex than "Du Hast" :)
Yes! I have started putting subtitles on, I had to make a little check list so I don't forget! And the gel definitely gives to the image! The whole esthetic of the stage, clothing, makeup on everyone. It looks so cool! Can't wait to see more of what they create!

No group puts on a stage show that comes close to matching Rammstein. It takes about 7 days to set up their stadium shows, and the pyrotechnics are amazing. Additionally, their official non-live videos are cinematic wonders.
They have a touring crew of 250. Plus they employ local riggers to erect the stage. It’s a serious gig. I used to work for Formula One Management and it was a similar gig. 250 of us would travel the world setting up each event including 3 rigging teams which were on constant rotation. One was resting, one was on site, and one was at the next location preparing for our arrival.
The French singing the German chorus over and over before the Germans even get started, then the Germans blowing themselves up onstage just says "we are all friends now" better than anything else that ever happened since 1945.

A wee little story for you all. Back in 2011, I went to a music festival here in New Zealand called “The Big Day Out”. It was a miserable rainy day (it’s an outdoor concert) and I was drenched for a good portion of the day! At around 7pm Rammstein took to one of the main stages and did like an hour set! Thanks to their pyrotechnics, by the end of their set I was bone dry!😂
‘Stine’, not ‘steen’. The ‘blood’, is a fire retardant gel that, if you see Rammstein live, you will know is highly necessary. Till, the lead singer, is a trained pyro technician. Sometime there may be blood; if so, it is real. If you watch the brilliant video for the acoustic version of Mein Herz Brennt, you will fresh scarring created for the ‘art’. The singer Lindermann is bloody in this because in a previous song, 'Mein Teil' is based off a true story in Germany about a man that ate another man he met from a newpaper ad. In that song, Lindermann wears an apron is covered in blood with a butchers blade for a microphone and Flake comes out of a cooking pot. So, it makes a bit more sense why he looks like he does by the time he got to Du Hast. For a bit of singing from Til, either check out the piano version of Mein Hertz Brent or Ich tu Dir weh.
I'll always remember the crowd surging closer to the stage only to pull back once the fire started. Also holding Flake up in the dingy as he was crowd surfing. Greatest experience ever.
That thing that the lead singer; Till Lindemann, is doing. It’s called the Till Hammer. He blew out his knee many years ago. He started banging on it to knock it back into place.😊

If they have a tight schedule (like last year in Europe) they have 2 crews and stages. To build up a stage in a Stadium takes 5 to 7 day with all the pyro. so while using one stage the other ist on the way to the next stop.

Your channel turned pretty heavy pretty quickly! I like it. :) Rammstein has to offer more amazing stuff, watch "Dicke Titten" (very funny!) and "Deutschland". In regard to your other reaction: as you liked Tatiana's false chord growls you should also check out Alissa White-Gluz's fry scream. She's the singer of Arch Enemy, start with their song "Deceiver, Deciever".
Obviously the lightning was in post but from interviews he literally got bored with how little keyboard he had to do (he wasn't mad or anything) so he decided to bring in a treadmill to keep him occupied
I've heard it was less to do with boredom (though I'm sure songs that are lighter on keyboard, like this one, would be less engaging than otherwise) than with his natural high-energy personality. Standing around behind keyboards during concerts was making him a little nuts, as he couldn't move around in the same way a vocalist or guitarist could, so the treadmill helped him take the edge off that "hyper" energy.
If you want to see a show, go watch Rammstein! A true spectacle to behold. It makes you question if other bands you have seen were really trying very hard.
Saw Rammstein in concert about a decade ago, we were in the nosebleed section (way at the back/up high in a 20,000 person stadium, the pyrotechnics were so hot that it felt like sitting 2 feet from a bonfire even at our distance to the stage, the fire was surrounding the lead singer, I can't imagine how hot it would have been on stage. Really cool concert
I love the whole band. But I’m so happy every time anyone gush over Flake, because I completely get it. Flake is so amazing I’m like you in this video. It’s been more than 20y for me when I discovered them during their Sehnsucht tour, but I still can’t get over Flake.
I saw them in Atlanta. When I went back to work people thought I had a sunburn because I was about 30ft from the stage. I can't imagine what being on stage is like at their shows. It was the best live performance I have ever seen out of literally hundreds of concerts over the years.
Family Values Tour 1999 NEW ORLEANS- Rammstein pulled me from the seats in the back of the room to as close as I could get to the front of the stage.. then I went out the side door and mixed in with some radio winners ( was in radio at the time) and followed them in to Korn’s Cage. Best night ever.. Still a fan at 52!
You have to watch some of their music videos! Absolute masterpieces!!! - Angst, Zeit, Adieu, Deutschland, Zick-Zack, Dicke Titten, Amerika, Sonne But please active subtitles (auto-translate) or read the lyrics first, because they are often very important...
The singer is larger than life a pyrotechnic all his ideas with fireworks and fire the Keyboard is the main musician behind the band with the Guitarist.
J'étais à ce concert c'était complètement dingue sur ce morceau le sol tremblais c'est juste incroyable ce moment. I was at this concert it was completely crazy on this song the ground was shaking it’s just amazing this moment.
I saw Rammstein open up for System of a Down and Slipknot. Rammstein was the highlight of the night. Sounded amazing and the fire show was ridiculous! Very cool
The guy at the keys said once that he does several miles during a concert. Till once said in an interview that even his training as a pyrotechnician didn't prevent him from having various burn scars. I think this video explains a lot. 🔥
Rammstein es energía y adrenalina su música es poderosa la voz es estruendosa su show es estruendoso su nombre en alemán se pronuncia con fuerza se ve en canciones como rammlied saludos
I tortured my parents stereo with that song when they were not at home. That was in 1997, I was 15 years old back then, and I still love that song today!
I'm am not a live concert person at all but I think if I ever had the opportunity Rammstein would be one of the few bands I would for sure go and see. Their shows are amazing.
If you really want to hear Til (the main singer) sing-speaking / sprechstimme, then the stripped-down piano version of Mein Hertz Brennt is the one ro listen to next :)
Rammstein is a highly theatrical band on their live shows. Some acts on stage have actually gotten them in serious trouble over the years. Especially since in the earlier days they used so much pyro that people in the crowd got dehydration symptoms or respiratory issues, and at one point some pyro got shot into the crowd directly. After that incident, they decided to tour with dedicated pyrotechnicians. Which eventually has led to the point where all the members in the band are now licensed pyrotechnicians. Till (the lead singer) has even gone as far as considering body modifications to enhance the theatrics. Also love how quickly you are making something of this channel, it's almost as if you've been at it for years!
Funny sidenote about this song if you don't know German (excuse my spelling, I'm Dutch): "Du, du hast, du hast mich" can translate to "you, you hate, you hate me" But "Du, du hast, du hast mich gefragt" can translate to "you have asked me" Clever wordplay =D
Well unfortunately the people always have to start of with "Du Hast". I also love this song, but it does not give any credits to the lead singer Till Lindemann, who also writes the lyrics. He has nice vocals in "Klavier" for example. Here is the link with English subtitles: ruclips.net/video/Wlr6DfTuQBc/видео.html This channel is anyway good for live performances of Rammstein, because it has English subtitles:www.youtube.com/@Bucksttabu/playlists They have often controversial and for some shocking lyrics. For someone like me, who has seen violence as a child, nothing of it shocks me and I love them to showing the mirror to the society and the ugliness it can have. That for I love them for over 25 years now, since I am 16. If you want to react to videos (also custom made) with English Subtitles here is the best channel for this one: www.youtube.com/@educatedmarine there music videos also worth to watch, because those videos are like little movies. You have just seen the best live band in world by far and the greatest rock/metal show on the road in these days. As a singer you should know Rammstein, the masters of fire, pyro, dance/industrial metal and showmanship. Rammstein is one of the most famous metal bands and are living legends with the same line-up for nearly 30 years. They are a german band and are considered the best live band in the world, especially when it comes to showmenship, pyro and fire. Above all, Rammstein uses pyro quite differently than all other bands. Rammstein's music is a mixture of techno (electronic music) and metal (= industrial metal), although Rammsteins origins are in punk music. Rammstein concerts are a life time experience that you will never forget. Their videos are art but also often controversial. Rammstein also refers to classical German literature, e.g. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's. Several of their songs are related to controversial and taboo subjects such as sadomasochism, homosexuality, intersexuality, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, cannibalism, pyromania, religion and sexual violence. Also several of their songs are allegedly inspired by real-life events or politics. Rammstein lyrics are very deep and are also often used in school and universities around the world to learn German. There are people who learn German only because of Rammstein. Rammstein fans are considered to be the craziest and most fanatical fans in the world. In concerts from the hardcore fans all over the world it is expected that you can sing along with the German lyrics even if you don't speak German. By the way, it wasn't blood on the skin, it was fireproof gel.....
After almost 30 years, Flick’s (the keyboardist) membership in the band is sarcastically still in question. He auditioned for the band and was offered the position on the spot, and replied, “I’ll think about it.” Since then, he’s shown up everyday.
Till Lindemann, the lead singer, got licensed as an international pyrotechnitian after an accident on stage caused by irresponsible contractors injured a crew member. He personally oversees every aspect of their pyrotechnics now.

Did not know that, but the pyrotech thing is mint as fuck. Mad respect for that.
That’s especially important when it comes to their song Deutschland. It’s quite controversial.
All the band members are licensed pyro technicians actually
Looks like the fireworks are tethered to the roof for safety... They arc down and then up again.
@@AnimatorsatWork yes, but Till has the highest possible license. They are all licensed and certified to USE pyro, but he can design and build it.

The song is word play on the German wedding vows. "Du hast" is "you have" but "du hasst" is "you hate" & they are pronounced exactly the same.
"Du hast mich (gefragt)" - You (asked) me" and then "You hate (me)". Thats something taht only native german speakers could understand. ;)
Almost, du hasst is spelled harder.
the idea, the concept is the hate which referred to the father of Till's girlfriend who didnt like the relation

I love seeing your eyes widen with wonder! Another great reaction, looking forward to the next
They put on such a beautiful killer show. Definitely a band you have to see live. I highly recommend it. You’ll get such a theatrical experience. 🤘🔥
Congratulations for your channel and saluts from Brazil...
I can't wait for the next reaction...
Thank you so much!!
cant be at a Rammstein concert without a serious fire hazard ^^ love these guys.
Loved your reaction, subbed! Such a great performance
Rammstein is not a show. They are an experience.
When you stand in "the fire pit" in front of the stage, you can actually feel the heat of the pyrotechnic effects. It's very impressive! 🎇
One of the best live performance ever 🤘🏻 and your reaction is exactly the reaction I want to see👍🏻😊
Saw them here in Brasil in 2016, top 3 best shows of my life!
Oh, I bet!
If you want to see a show, go watch Rammstein! A true spectacle to behold. It makes you question if other bands you have seen were really trying very hard.
best shows to enjoy live Rammstein + Nightwish for different reasons. both insanely epic live !
I will see them in June in the Fire Stage. I think I will left the concert without eyebrows haha
*I would recommend Rammstein's live performance of "Bück dich!"* 👼🏼
😇
The blood is because they recently performed mein teil one you must watch but the live performance then you will understand the blood.
First, I wish I was a chef, second, I'm practicing my keyboard more now, third, great genuine reaction.
Thank you so much!
@@rayactions can't wait until you discover The Warning. Animosity live at CDX in Mexico. Enjoy!!
Radio, Angst, Sonne, Deutschland, Feuer Frei, Asche Zu Asche, Amerika...any of these would deserve be reacted to
Greatest stage show on earth, about time you heard of em
More Rammstein please. Thank you
Fine reaction, thank you! 🙂More Rammstein please - wanna see you react to everything else (which is fantastic!).
Great Band, Great song and even Greater reviewer. Well done Rach!!
The look on your face with the pyrotechnics go off... so great.
You have to watch some of their music videos!
Absolute masterpieces!!! - Angst, Zeit, Adieu, Deutschland, Zick-Zack, Dicke Titten, Amerika, Sonne
But please active subtitles (auto-translate) or read the lyrics first, because they are often very important...
One that everyone seems to miss is Mein Herz Brennt piano version. Check it out.
The singer is larger than life a pyrotechnic all his ideas with fireworks and fire the Keyboard is the main musician behind the band with the Guitarist.
Just one of the most incredible bands when it comes to both music quality and live perfomances. Next one you should check is "Ich tu Dir weh".
The song will forever SLAP?
Epic.
I love everyone’s reaction to seeing the fireworks and pyro. I love it 🔥
This is a great example of why Rammstein records their live material in either france or South America: Those crowds go HARD.
I saw them live last year, and they were incredible! Just like this video, a lot of fire, and very very loud haha
Very cool
The Lead singer Tiill is a very funny, friendly, intelligent and a little bit shy person in normal life.
Best living band in the World :)
I'm am not a live concert person at all but I think if I ever had the opportunity Rammstein would be one of the few bands I would for sure go and see. Their shows are amazing.
You rly need to Visit a Rammstein concert. It is so amazing to see this live.
If you really want to hear Til (the main singer) sing-speaking / sprechstimme, then the stripped-down piano version of Mein Hertz Brennt is the one ro listen to next :)
I would love to see these guys live!! ❤💖✨💫
One of the best performances you will see..nuff said 👍
Their live show are awesum!
"There needs to be MORE FIRE. Nobody must ever forget Rammstein."
For raw vocals "Mein Herz brennt" the Piano version.
The way Till looks into the camera during the whole video is very creepy like he's starring right through you.
the singer is an expert of pyrotechnic , great singer , most popular in france ,
Hello , greetings from north Germany, .. Welcome to the Rammstein world 👍😁
Allerbest ut noorddüütschland 👍
Noone mentions the bass when the first du hast is being said. Builds so sweetly
Funny sidenote about this song if you don't know German (excuse my spelling, I'm Dutch):
"Du, du hast, du hast mich" can translate to "you, you hate, you hate me"
But
"Du, du hast, du hast mich gefragt" can translate to "you have asked me"
Clever wordplay =D
Your spelling is flawless. Greetings from Germany!
Well unfortunately the people always have to start of with "Du Hast". I also love this song, but it does not give any credits to the lead singer Till Lindemann, who also writes the lyrics. He has nice vocals in "Klavier" for example. Here is the link with English subtitles: ruclips.net/video/Wlr6DfTuQBc/видео.html
This channel is anyway good for live performances of Rammstein, because it has English subtitles:www.youtube.com/@Bucksttabu/playlists
They have often controversial and for some shocking lyrics.
And if you are interested in more about these guys, here are some documentaries:

ruclips.net/video/M7VO2E0cbWM/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/ycBj6nYr7BA/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/2kliAzNAJVg/видео.html
all documentaries have English subtitles or also get narrated in English (with German accent, but still you might understand it).
The "blood" is a part of the performance of "Mein Teil", which you have to watch, to know more about it:ruclips.net/video/cfdTqZX0nwU/видео.html this one is from the las tour in 2022 and you also see, what is going on Backstage.
Thank you for your reaction and welcome to the Rammstein-rabbit-whole. ❤
july 6. 2023 they perform in Groningen, the Netherlands. It 'just 45 km. from my place. The location has a capacity of 75,000 viewers, available only 416 tickets at this moment for 200,00 euros each
The way you are over the keyboard player is the way I am over you 😂
Absolutely love and enjoy your reactions!
great reaction, welcome to the rammstein world :) vocal wise this is probably the most basic song of them but they got some other great ones. i think the 3 basic songs of rammstein are this one, sonne and deutshcland. you def have to check last one's videoclip.
RAMMSTEIN THE BEST BAND OF PLANET.
I can't comprehend the fact that there are people watching these videos without without nodding...
Oooh i really want to see her reacting to "Heirate Mich" live in Bizarre Festival. Oh it would be glorious!
After almost 30 years, Flick’s (the keyboardist) membership in the band is sarcastically still in question. He auditioned for the band and was offered the position on the spot, and replied, “I’ll think about it.” Since then, he’s shown up everyday.
It's Flake not Flick. And he didn't audition, they asked him to join and he never gave an answer
I think I remember reading once that the keyboardist (Christian Lorenz) walks like 17 miles a show on his treadmill.
It was at 4 minutes in and Rachel finally FLAKE'D out🖤🤘
the lead singer is a pyrotechnic professional i think thats what the job is called thats why the fireworks look so amazing
Rammstein is of course, amazing! Damn this production work though. Crazy good!
