I still can't believe the feedback from the Colombia episode, thank you!
And to everyone that's helped this channel out and helped reduce the amount it's cost me over the years, you guys are incredible! I'm so happy my editing finally appears to be good enough to pay you back. I've had so many emails this week from people that we've finally pushed over the edge and now they're actually going to do their trip of a lifetime that they've been putting off for so long!

On paper this whole journey we've gone on doesn't really make sense to me. No film crew, no backup, no editing experience, no filming experience, RUclips ad revenue that wouldn't even pay a phone bill, it's insanity. But enough of you tuned in, and sent me emails or left comments saying you were now travelling the world because of me, or my videos had brought you happiness in dark times, or just entertained you as you sat on the toilet, that I kept making them.
You can say thank you to me if you want, but it's you guys that made this happen.

Hey Ed. I'm one of those new people who found your Colombia video in my recommended list. Five minutes into the video I understood that I had stumbled upon a gold nugget. Binged your Alaska to Argentina videos (thusfar) yesterday and I regret nothing. You even got me interested in motorcycles thanks to Ninety, already registered myself to get my license. Keep on rolling and can't WAIT for the next episode.

@@MrBloodySerb because they are at home or they go do their thing for a weekend then go back home and edit, where as he many time is not near internet service for weeks and has to stop and look threw WEEKS of videos to put together 50 minutes of video.

@@johnnyturbo8460 you need internet just for uploading, not editing. Maybe its more of a practice, than anything else.
@@MrBloodySerb true, but you need a quiet place to do it with electricity or a way to keep the laptop charged, good acoustic, etc.. plus after all that editing you want to send it in asap so it doesn't get lost or damaged on his trip.
But if its so easy and you have all the answers, you go do it and send me the like and then we can rehash this

I stumbled upon your channel last week, whilst I was multitasking , I.E. , looking for a job and watching RUclips. Watching you and Rachel ride through deserts and camping out in -35 and getting your bikes impounded, I spent all day watching your videos on RUclips and laughing my socks off. I had my first c90 41 years ago and have nothing but good memories. Stay safe 🏍

They are insightful, and I think of them long, long after watching. On a more serious note. Since watching your videos. i have this strange fascination of purchasing a C90 and riding it across the world...The weird thing is, i have Zero interest in motorcycles but enjoy watching LWR and LWD 3-4 times a year. But your trip seems more genuine and the trip id rather be on.
If you can, have a look at Mondo Enduro. They did a round the world trip before LWR and it's like Ed's vids. Self filmed, no back up crew etc. Highly recommended. ( You might have to buy it on DVD).

I think your timming was good for the youtube algorithm, I've watched tons of this type of content and your videos never showed up. And now that I haven't been watching other bike, adventure or travelling content other than the trailer for Long way up, one of your videos was suggested (don't know if it was the Colombia one, I've watched all your A2A videos now). So, you have been linked to the total opposite kind of budget for bike adventures. I don't know why you don't have much more subscribers, but I don't think it's how you used to edit videos or whatever, it's something about how youtube works. Maybe being inactive long periods of time doesnt's help.
Pd. I'm thinking about buying a Honda Wave 110 and start travelling from Argentina when our useless goverment let us move somewhere.

Like many, I have just discovered this channel and have now caught up on all episodes and have ordered a DVD. 43 years ago, as a fresh faced 10 yr old, I learned to ride on a cub and thrash it around fields and woods. Lost count how many trees I hit, but these bikes are (almost) indestructible
Ed I think you must have hit a sweet spot on the RUclips algorithms. I picked up your DVD at a bike show a few years ago, but hadn't come across your channel on here. Then the Colombia vid popped up in my feed and, like a lot of others, I went back over all your older videos too. They may not be your cup of tea, but I bet interest in the imminent LWU will drive more traffic your way. So well done. Hope it helps your upcoming projects.
