First, thank you so much for your videos. I have used several and have been persuaded to buy parts from you specifically because of the videos you post. My question: I have a 2011 Rav4 2.5L 4 cylinder. It’s throwing codes suggesting a Throttle Position Sensor replacement. Most videos I can find on of other vehicles show this as a 5 minute replacement with a small sensor somewhere on the top of the engine. I’m guessing this is not the case for my Rav4 correct? Is it necessary to replace the entire throttle body on 2011 Rav4 or am I missing something?
I have a 05 rav4 and I have to replace entire throttle body. Which was $191. I never found the sensor they sell by itself so told me it was needing whole thing... I looked and was told by 2 places just the sensor but toyota said only can replace whole thing. Hope this helped any. Good luck
The other lady on the train channel torqued down the bolts to 22ftlb or 30nm. You have torqued them down to 7ft/lb or 9.5nm. The factory service manual for 2006-2009 have 22ft lb for the torque for throttle,body and and intake manifold gasket but you torqued down 2010 rav4 intake manifold bolts to 15ft/lb. can you Clarify

If I replace the throttle body with a new or used one do I have to program that new throttle body to the engine in my car?
No the cars idle will just run a little high for awhile but the computer will quickly understand the throttle body position in about 20 miles.

Also if I am not mistaken I believe the rav4's run the same engine as the Camry's, that being the 2ar-fe engine
