This is great! Fantastic location, and nice job with the filming.

It's like the scene in Dumbo at night when the circus train pulls into the railyard, with a wigwag operating.

As of 2019 the wig wag still stands.

Sadly it's now gone as of February 2019. Lost my chance to get in action.

Yeah, I heard that it was removed -- 'tis a shame.

How many trains pass through there each day?

As far as I know, the only regular moves past here are a couple of UP locals. I think that there are a few moves per week.

@@SantaFe126 I live in Bakersfield about 2.5 hours north of Anaheim. If I ever go there I would love to railfan that crossing, even if I dont see a train.
I also wonder if there are any active wig wags anywhere around Bakersfield?

I don't think there are any wigwags left in Bakersfield. But there is one in Hanford, and a few in Fresno (all of those are on the San Joaquin Valley Railroad). For more details, check out "Dan's Wigwag Site" (should be easy to find through Google).

Sadly no theres not ant wig wags in Bakersfield that I am aware of. But there is an old gated off and closed off crossing that has an old rusty crossbuck that apparently BNSF or the city forgot to remove, which makes for a cool railfanning spot, which I occasionally visit. Its on K Street north of California Ave, on the northbound side. I've got some videos from there on my channel. There are a few other crossbuck only crossings that are still in service, but no wig wags here.

Awesome catch! Where exactly is this wig-wag located?

Thanks! This wigwag is at the intersection of Santa Ana St and Lemon St. An approximate address would be 501 S Lemon St, Anaheim.

Unfortunately the wig wag is no more as of early 2019.
