Blaming TSA for your bad decision.
That's the running game these days, blame someone else. Don't take accountability.
Yeah. Two things can be true at the same time - a guilty defendant and a TSA failure. I think he would have preferred that TSA was effective, then he would be under scrutiny in the US rather than T&K.

What's the point of the TSA? Good argument for abolishing this nonsense altogether. It appears they regularly fail to do what they claim they're paid to do. Since it doesn't make Americans safer, the government might as well abolish the security theater and give the funding to more useful agencies. Border protection comes to mind for example.
TSA is supposed to have explosive sniffing technology that can alert to the slightest trace of gun powder. Not a time to be complacent with the way things are today.

Why do all these individuals carry loose ammunition in their suitcases, as if it were loose coins or candies? Ammunition is expensive. How can they be so careless. Normally ammo should be stored away from heat or humidity, which can ruin it. But this incident proves that TSA is useless.
TSA: Thousands Standing Around.
Im not sure how you can possibly forget something like that. You are well aware of where you are going and what you are carry. Furthermore for you not to double check tobegin with, thats nothing more than negligence. Your problem!
She's blaming someone other than her husband and herself for not thoroughly checking their luggage prior to entering the airport before departing the USA? My, my, my - feeling just a little bit entitled, are we?
Other countries don't have a sense of humor with Americans violating their firearms laws. In some sense its a good reason not to visit those countries.
An example of no sense of humor with firearms and entering another country: back in 1992 a Laredo (TX) Police Officer chased a stolen car onto the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge headed toward Mexico. It is a crowded one way bridge - once on the bridge you can't just turn around mid-bridge. He shut down his pursuit, turned off the siren and lights and went with the traffic flow intending to U-turn at the other end and return to the Texas side from Nuevo Laredo, MX. The two police departments work together frequently on common issues so he didn't foresee a problem. Nope! He was arrested by Nuevo Laredo PD and the Federales (Tamaulipas, MX), booked and jailed for "armed incursion" into Mexico. It took a few days of negotiation for his release to be secured.
I find it odd that she was deflecting by stating her husband is a paramedic and forgot about the ammo in the suitcase. I don't see the nexus between paramedic and ammo. However, if random items associated with his work as a paramedic end up in a suitcase it could just as easily have been a vial of a narcotic/controlled substance. The outcome in that case would not be very different.
Check your damned suitcases thoroughly before packing up for any flight but especially to another country. As the State Department Travel Advisory states, if you take a firearm and/or ammo into Turks & Caicos, even accidentally, and are caught you will be arrested and jailed, you will face 12 years in prison and the State Department will not be able to secure your release.
Wow the comments have me shocked. On Twitter their blaming the black Caribbean government making racist statements but these are just normal fact filled👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
