- Once you have captured Heatran and beaten the post game, and beaten the first set of Pokémon League rematches, you will have access to a second set of rematches against the Elite Four and Champion, with levels varying between the late 70s and the late 80s. This second rematch against Cynthia features Pokémon level 88, making Cynthia in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the strongest boss battle in the history of Pokémon. This video I'm going to show you how you can beat Cynthia, with a party of level 1 Pokémon.

@@wcl24 OverLv your Pokémon who can type advantage like Giratina Shadow Balling, Try and get a really powerful fast Latios who can use Ice Beam and Groudon who will Bulldoze Gengar who actually does not levitate. That's how I do it

Cynthia swaps out when Perish Song's counter hits 1.
I'm sure that if the programmers make the A.I. more intelligent, Cynthia would get wise to the strategy and either swap or use status moves to counter the Trick Room/Destiny Bond Strategy.

It looks that simple because the battle isn't in set mode... in that case smeargle would have faded
This was pretty interesting; it only goes to show how powerful the F.E.A.R. strategy (or your version of it, which replaces Endeavor with Destiny Bond, and Quick Attack with Trick Room) is, and how the AI is not prepared to counter it (which could be done with high priority moves, or with status/weather conditions that deal damage continuously, like sandstorm, burn or poison). Nicely done!
i've also seen it done with Aron, Lv. 1 with Sturdy, holds a Shell Bell, which it uses to recover full HP after using Endeavor
Cynthia’s Milotic can use scald which can potentially burn the target but using spore negates that possibility
It’s an easy setup, experienced players know this easily
What’s a way to get destiny bond?
Honestly i might just use this to a degree, about 40 minutes ago, i got torn up by her in the worst way, and ran out of revives and full restores.

You mixed up Reckless and Scrappy, I think, unless bypassing Ghost’s immunities became something for Reckless in this gen

One strategy could be using a hippopotas with the ability to generate a sandstorm (i don't remember the English name for that ability) than use a level 1 Aron with sturdy as ability and endeavor. Giving it the shell bell, he will refull his life every endeavor, meaning he would have sturdy the following turn. Since there's the sandstorm, everyone except garchomp would die. Garchomp will remain at 1 hp, but Aron will be at full life with sturdy, simply killing it with a tackle. I don't know if it's possible, but it seems
Smart
That might work if Aron stays at level 1, but since it will gain HP upon leveling up a bunch of times it won’t be able to heal to full from the shell bell. Lucario and Garchomp do not take damage from sandstorm, so it wouldn’t work there either. Also, Garchomp has rough skin, so using a contact move will ruin this strat anyways.
You cant heal fully with a shell bell its impossible and to think a aron could out speed with tackle is insanse its virtually impossible to be able to do that with 2 pokemon and one of them not knowing priority moves
@@Ha-zh1sp If you have a low enough max HP like any level 1 Pokémon, you can heal to full with shell bell. It’s a gimmick with Aron since it has sturdy so it can endure an attack from a high level pokemon, bring the opponent down to 1 HP with endeavor, heal back up to full with shell bell, and have the opponent faint due to sandstorm damage to rinse and repeat. If sandstorm is not up or the opponent doesn’t take damage from it, Aron can still endure another attack and use any attacking move to knock out the opponent 1v1 assuming they didn’t heal. This strat is ruined if Aron levels up though.

When you were predicting her full restores I was just laughing at when I didn't shadow sneak with gallade in the main story battle cause she was gonna use one, and then she didn't use one, and hit me with a nasty plot boosted 1 shot. And then she healed on my next pokemon...

Idk why ppl are against the exp share. I agree they should allow ppl to turn it off if that's what you prefer but grinding levels like the old days is not a piece of nostalgia that's necessary to relive

Love the video. One correction however, at 3:10 you said Reckless allowed Normal type moves to hit Ghost type Pokémon. I believe you meant Scrappy.

In pokemon soulsilver my level 14 pidgey outsped karens level 47 houndoom with a quick attack i only had that pidgey in my party to use fly XD

For Garchomp: Shedninja, untouchable
You can't get a level 1 shedinja, though.

i remember seeing something similar way back in black and white. their team comprised of several fear strats:
i think they also lead with ralts for trick room destiny bond so that they could set 2 layers of spikes off the pinecone.
sturdy pinecone : toxic spikes
hippo for sandstorm (infinite duration in gen 5)
sturdy endeavor aron with shell bell to full heal and kill off toxic spikes/sandstorm
sturdy magnemite with recycle, protect and berry juice
and last mon was study nosepass with pain split to kill off poison and sandstorm
the reason they needed to bring in the extra lvl1 pokemon was that levelling up broke their sturdy refresh for multiple kills
You really thought of everything! Except turning battle effects back on..
Red's pikachu: level 88
Chynthia's garchomp: level 88
I don't think it's the hardest boss battle in all of Pokémon, I'm not saying that it's because of Red, with the same level as Cynthia's, but because there are a lot of harder boss battle in all of Pokémon. Keep in mind that this (and Red) battle are POST GAME, obviously they are a lot leveled.
A honorable mention is Volo.
and you even had a backup available with Smeargle just in case, incredible ☆
i will never forget my fight against cynthia. used my crobat w toxic on her garchomp that one hit all my pokemon 247 but always revived one while the poisons running. It took me 30 min just for her last pokemon and take the final hit bruh

Focus sash with endeavor and first priority move combo, focus sash with trick room and destiny bond combo, so basically focus sash combo is a cheap move
Focus sash with trick room, toxic spikes and stealth rocks setup
So no one tell PDWinnall that he could put the level 1 Pokemon's in a box for all the other Elite Four battle's and retrieve them before entering Cynthia's chamber to face her instead of wasting time and a bunch of healing items for nothing.
You can't open your box when you're in the Elite 4 chambers

It is the second rematch against her. First rematch is after completing the pokedex and third is after catching heatran

Basically you have to catch a shinx and when it finally gets spark don’t replace it when it evolves and it wants to learn a new move.

Very impressive but would Aron with: Endeavor, Shell Bell item, and Sturdy do a lot of work. Trick room wouldn't even be as needed just a Pokemon using toxic spikes. This wouldn't work as well against Togekiss & Lucario but it's do a lot of work
Even better if you can set up sandstorm first, since most of her mons aren't immune to it, and it will finish them off after endeavor.
Nice video! U also could use leech seed + sturdy combo on garchomp, just for fun haha

Question how did you get all a team of one except for 100
Eggs hatch at level 1, so that's how he obtained level 1 Pokemon. I assume he used the level 100 to defeat everyone up to Cynthia, while keeping the level 1 Pokemon fainted so they wouldn't level up, then revived them all before the Cynthia fight.

Is there a team you could do this challenge with in the original Champion match given Smeargle isn’t a Sinnoh Dex mon (and technically Ralts and Duskull are Platinum only) or is it just not possible?

Technically if you complete the Sinnoh Dex before you beat the Elite Four, you're able to get the National Dex and unlock them encounters for the original champion battle!

I unlocked it after completing the first dex and then walking outside the Pokémon professors place. I did go inside the Pokémon professors place first to hand in the dex though.
Her Garchomp is level 88, which is the same level as Red’s Pikachu in HGSS. Even though Cynthia is the by far hardest fight in the series, they still both share the same highest level.
It's a pikachu.... In all honesty it doesn't count because of how terrible Pikachu is

So that explains how while I was training up my team for the Elite 4 in the underground mines, and I defeated a Gastly, my pokemon then fainted as well on full health.

Spore is 100% accuracy, so it will never miss unless Cynthia uses double team or similar.
