It’s just marketing wars if you dig deeper. Basically there were two major companies making textured implants. So one of theme did some “research” ,to prove that concurrent implants leads cancer. Though court banned both “just in case”. Thats why in Europe and rest of the word they do textured implant without risk of cancer. Idk why this youtube doctors kind of continuing making this cancer story.
Hi, I'm a not a plastic surgeon, jut a regular general surgeon and your video got me thinking: "wouldn't the shaped one look better in patients that had a total mastectomy?". Since they are more breast shaped and those patients don't have the excess of tissue problem anymore, wouldn't those be more suited for those specific cases?
No shaped ones actually have more risk of turning and getting disfiguration and needing the correction surgery while round one is more stable as many of my friends with the shaped implants got another surgery to fix it and it may happen again. As a very flat person myself which got round implants many years ago mine are very very natural you wouldn’t believe that they are not my natural breasts .Choosing The right size ( small ones )and the right techniques of surgery( under the muscle ) is the key to achieve a natural and beautiful result
Just remember that they have an expiration date and you'll need regular surgeries every X years (depending on implant) to take them out and install new ones and every time that comes with risk of complications and huge stress on your body having to adapt & heal around that thing.
I used to work for doctors, one of them being an oncologist, and she used to do breast replacement surgery. One day she had a demo for new inplants and she called me over. "You're married right? Is she busty?" Since she, and the other nurses weren't blessed in that department, she asked me which one felt more natural. Only time in my life I've touched an implant and i want expecting it. It was indeed round, and was the preferred one
Guys stop being weird in the comments. I think this is pretty cool to learn about an interesting that there are different kinds. Some people prefer plastic surgery cause it makes them feel better. No need to judge. That's why people get them in the first place cause people are always judging.
I wanted to get breast implants for a long time because i was ashamed of being [size] "A" cup until i watched a whole breast implant surgery and it made reconsider it.
I know someone who had implants for 20 years and regrets it heavily. The first ones needed to be swapped out because it came out that they had dangerous materials inside - and of course the doctor who put them in "lost" his paperwork regarding the implant so they would not be liable. And the new implants moved inside her breast after some years and got damaged, so that it looked weird and caused constant pain. She has images and videos of the operation to get the second set out of her.. it's really not nice what they have to do to get them out and how damaged the tissue looked afterwards. Not worth it. And she now likes her natural self and is happy with it.
That very last bit is what matters most and I’m glad she got to that place, no matter the journey. I’ve had three body mod surgeries, though only 3/4 years so far. Breast implants are doing great. Different one didn’t go as well. It’s about the surgeon and technique.
I think the shaped implant might be better for those going in with no breasts at all, like someone who had to get them removed due to breast cancer or a trans woman 😊
yeah that was my thought as a trans girl, though estrogen supplements *can* give breasts (it helps if you're a little younger and have less testosterone exposal,) usually an A or B cup to the best of my knowledge
my partner is trans and planning to get this surgery eventually, really helpful video for education and de-stigmatizing as well. vast majority of people do this for non-sexual reasons but gotta deal with constant objectification like its somehow permission to be rude to someone
Remember breast implants Illness is very real & serious detriment to their health. Also implants have expiration dates needing new ones every X amount of years. The healing of constantly replacing these is a huge stress on the body & higher complication rates. It’s honestly not worth the risk to their health & huge financial cost, tell them they are perfect and beautiful exactly as they are. I hope everything goes well tho if they still decide to get them.
Y’all need to stop being so judgemental. If someone gets an implant to make themselves happier and more confident and feel more beautiful, what’s the problem? It’s not hurting you, it’s not even affecting you, and if it doesn’t turn out well, they should’ve known the risks. Let people make their own choices about how they want to treat their own bodies. If they want to get breast implants then they should be able to without all of you going “Ew no just love yourself how you are.” That sort of judgemental behavior and criticizing other people’s choices about their bodies is exactly what leads them to feel like they want an implant in the first place. You can’t just say “be confident” and suddenly they’re magically 100% comfortable in their own body. It doesn’t work like that. Let them make their own choices so they can be happy and keep your judgemental comments out of their life.
because more women having fake tits, more men expect huge fake tits so in a way it does hurt others because there's more social pressure to give into getting implants. Whereas if society shuns people who have fake things like implants it keeps natural people from social pressure.

Some women lose one or both breasts due to cancer and want new ones to even out the two sides or simply to get back the body they once had so they don't feel like they're constantly living in a reminder of the worst days of their lives.
@@Magiczero598 top surgery is actually double mastectomy, meaning breast removal, so basically the complete opposite of breast implants. And don't worry, people getting top surgery are fully aware of all possible risks 👍 I also intend to get top surgery and I still watched this like "hmm, yes, fascinating". Honestly sometimes medical stuff is just interesting 🤷🏻♂️
I got implants, its pretty cool, but they warned about the risks. It is an extreme body modification, so you def dont want to just jump into em lol. I tested positive for the gene responsible for breast cancer in my family - like 70% of the women lose both or 1 ta-ta in our 40's. I wanted to experience implants young to be mentally prepared in case. If it doesnt happen, well I prefer fuller breasts anyway. My breasts are more likely to give the implants cancer at this point 😂. Theres so much risk in just driving your car, so I wouldnt let fear detour you if you'd like breast implants. Surgery is easy, recovery is nearly painless and complications are unlikely. Again its technically extreme modification though so you gotta be a little metal to be like "ah what the hell lets do it," being 100% okay with the chance of any issues. Oh ppl also get their panties in a bunch over any woman with implants so you'll get all the "OH YOURE INSECURE HATE YOURSELF FOR GETTING IMPLANTS," like most the time online - but its no biggie. People used to think a girl wearing a short dress was due to insecurity. Whats ironic is though this seems a moral high-ground, it actually puts a lot of cancer survivors down. Cancer survivors dont walk around with a sign saying "I have breast implants because I survived cancer," lol - they just look like regular women with implants. So when you judge women in general for being "insecure" for getting implants, you judge the whole cancer community. The breasts on a woman's chest should never matter to anyone but her. Be careful heaping judgement on anyone because how shitty to survive cancer and deal with people assuming you're insecure or forcing you to re-live breast cancer trauma because they feel your fake ta-tas require their approval of acceptable reasoning to have them 🙄. Its 2023. Its 2 bags of silicon in a woman's chest, and nothing more. Stop turning a mole-hill into a mountain...that shames cancer survivors ultimately lol.
@@The_Phantom_Eyes You're welcome 😊 I recommend going for smallest size as much as you can. I am a DD but I look like a C usually do to my body frame.
Oh interesting question!
Except the cancer risk might not be worth it considering the context of most mastectomies

As someone who had reconstruction surgery. I can say tear drop looks natural. Go high profile.
Yes, for over the muscle reconstruction the tear drop looks best. He's talking for augmenting women that still have breasts.

Very helpful video your voice is both soothing and engaging. What add on are you using to show the tics on that separate mama bar?
Okay
