no need, the alcohol content is high enough to sterilise it
The alcohol sterilizes it and the filtering gets rid of large particles
you also want the full penetration of pesticides so you get that rare cancer no one else has!
There's also yeasts on the grapes that are specific to each growing area. This needs to be left on an gives different wines unique characteristics specific to that region.

I prefer a good strong red wine like a merlot over the white sweet wines, but for a snack I prefer the sweet white grapes. Live can be confusing sometimes. Shalom

See... Back in my day, we would never leave a stem in the squanching" process.. It is lazy and the true sign of a cheap wine. It's all about the quality of the person stomping their bare feet in to the grapes. You need female feet between the age of 13 and 27. Anything outside of that and you are just screwed.
