What did you think to this episode? Any thing new here for you? How will you use these in your terrain making?

My plan is to use this guide to spice up my Necromunda terrain set with some bridges and stairs.

I was in full agreement. You voiced many of the arguments I have in the past for why it's not only possible, but quite probable that wood (and paper) or like substances would exist, even if rarely, on Necromunda!
Lovely hobby tutorial, as per usual, well done mate.
I got a bit of an audio glitch about halfway through for a few seconds, kinda sounded like a crackle or heavy rain/water.

It was purposeful, probably my rubbish editing! Talks about dampness in the underhive so has a sound of rain downpour and then fades to a lower trickle within the music.

Fungus Federation of Santa Cruz, California, is creating furniture from fungus, so its fair to believe they would do this in the future.

Great stuff, Kevin. I don't play grimdark, but a lot of the same reasoning works for deep dwelling fantasy stuff, where access to the surface is not the norm. I particularly appreciate the part about (summarizing) "not all wood needs be brown". And, hey-o! TIL; "betula". Enjoyed the lessons. Cheers

Great. I jut don't know from where they could take wood on Necromunda?

Excellent work, not using browns to paint wood... Genius.
Sometimes we get too stuck into X thing is Y colour to really understand what colour it would actually be.
Voiceover could do with a little work. Timing of talking about particular paints could do with lining up with what's going on on screen.
Audio levels were a bit up and down, were these all recorded on the same mic?
    Chipped paint.
If the part you are working on was loose from its final resting place, coul it just be dipped into the paint chips a bit like basing material? If be interested to see if that worked out.
When cracking the paint is it easy enough to keep flat in the tray or does it just become loose and spread out?

Hey Mark, thank you very much for this detailed feedback. The microphone I was using was trash and very difficult to get the same sound quality recorded from session to session. I have since upgraded to a much better quality mic for future videos.
To your question on breaking up the enamel paint in the dish. It is definitely possible to get pieces that can stay together more like a jigsaw puzzle. If you can get a craft knife into and under the paint and prize some of the paint up before it fully cures and then set it aside to cure completely before manually snapping and cracking pieces. It is more difficult when it fully cures onto the ceramic dish and will more likely create chunks and dust of paint.

@@TheImmersiveWorldCrafter Np mate. Thanks for the video. Btw i absolutely lost my s*** with the crackeled enamel paint. Maybe if you put it on a plastic wrap you can get the chips more easily (when the sub-plastic wrap crumbles). Or maybe it doesnt work. Idk. So, overall, you didnt use any brown for the planks -appart from the pigments- right? (Im trying to traspose this to craft paints/ what i got)

    • @TheImmersiveWorldCrafter

@@galan8115 lost your s*** in a good way I hope? Yes, no brown paint as the timber is old. It will be very grey. I used earthy oranges, tans and browns for the powders to mimic the wood crumbling.
