This is definitely the most classic STP sounding track on the record. Dean pumping out a pure Core/Purple riff.
Dean still writing sweet riffs. What an underrated player.
@dread true he's very, very., very solid......but don't forget that Roberto wrote most of their hits. And, while this isn't part of the conversation.....we wouldn't know about either of these guys (my NJ brethren) if not for Scott Weiland - that dude had a way of adding melodies over those riffs that made us love STP (and I LOVE Eric on drums - he, like Taylor Hawkins, has a way of playing "the perfect drum part" for everything they do
The next dum dum to use the word underrated is going to be slapped. By me.
Nobody ever mentions that these dudes are still young, still writing music, definitely not a "Vegas" show (ie: Bands endlessly performing greatest hits live and not actually creating new material ever), and damnit...STP still has the talent and ability to make a whole bunch of more records
Just saw em live and they knocked out teeth.
@@davidpiacenti2601 Jeff has only gotten better at his gig too, i bet!
Where have I been???? This IS STP!!!!!!holy shit they’re back!
Brilliant just brilliant STP, haters go on hating, Jeff Gutts here to stay and make a new mark in STP
the best song from their new album, LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Such a badass song!
This is probably my favorite album since Purple. In fact it feels like it could have come out in that period.
In fairness though, STP kind of fell off after Purple.
@@poolboyinla I'd beg to differ. They became a lot more diverse after Purple. Tiny Music, No.4, Shangri, and 2010 are amazing albums. They did fall of the charts after Purple, if thats what you meant.
Yeah, they became more diverse, doing less good stuff. That is why they lost their popularity. Notice if you hear a STP song on the radio, it is only a song from their first 2 albums. The other stuff didn't stand the test of time.
"that period" means grunge. Is this a grunge album ? Not ...
@@marcogeracao1999 Right on
They did it again... this track is another gem in a catalogue full of them
Does this band know they have a genius guitar player? Hope so. Thos guy should really be a household name. Fucking brilliant riffs and no one....NO ONE Can match his tones. Song to song record to record he nails all tones that should be
Everyone who is in the know, knows that dean is one of the finest guitar players to ever walk this earth.
Andrew Law yasss🙋🏾♀️💯
two genius... bass and guitar players... DeLeo Brothers are the best from their generation...
Jeff does an amazing job on this whole album almost sounds like Scott and I love it! STP !
This album is so much more than I expected. Thank you STP!
Why do I want to say this counts twice as much 20 years later, right? This is amazing great listening tunes. Holy Shit Live!!
love this song
This could've been a Talk Show song.
crazy good man
Guys,keep on rolling!!! Love you,love your fucking,rocking musical,and a super inspiration....Jeff....stay!!!!
This rocks!
Want to see this live in New Zealand. Come on down boys!!
Just mastery beyond comprehension type of awesomeness condensed
Oh, i love this track.
This kinda has a vibe like "Peacoat" from the last "Self Titled " Album ...and it's awesome !
I'm gonna listen to this whole album properly, as a long time fan since Core STP actually got me into writing my own music when I first heard Wicked Garden at a friend's house. I wasn't ready but now I am...keep releasing NEW music STP!
WOW....!!!!!
STP will outlast the Rolling Stones. You watch.
I love this tune
This would make a great guitar hero song!
Definitely some Jane's in here, too. Lovin it.
You sound awesom
It sounds good, fresh, cool, but miss that misterious beats
Step inside the maiden ride
It helps if you don't breathe
Patronize and criticize
And welcome to the scene
I hope it comes out right
It's just a little lie
Hide behind another crime
The benefit's so sweet
It's alright, it's just this time
The purity's unclean
I hope it comes out right
It's just a little lie
It's the only way to go from here
The only way to go from here
Realize just what's inside
We sink before we bleed
Some may run and some may hide
But that's alright with me
I hope it comes out right
It's just a little lie
It's the only way to go from here
The only way to go from here
From here
It's the only way to go from here
The only way to go from here
From here
Cara mia....Adams family. 1954
THe only way to go from here.......................
In my mind there not underrated one bit. their quality of music is up to Led Zeppelin standards in my understanding of music. They are all individually amazing musicians so much was put into this song I love this song it's one of my all-time favorites it is so diverse. This music that makes you dance and sing because they know how to jam
We need more weird voices , more psychedelia
Great fkn song. The whole album kills.its to bad core came out and lumped them into grunge,, every other record is way deeper than the first one,, even the new stuff. Them brothers are bad ass,
A placeholder. It's adequate. STP is not about adequate.
:v
Something Like Weiland his wanna be days..Mistake STP understandable because the singer will sound good old stuff live
Wtf? Weiland life respaw?
This album (and the last few) the solos were good, riffs were good. Vocals were off
