GO spend $50-60 K on a sports car and let me know how THAT works out. SOOOOO tired of people belly aching about the price..if you think its too much don't buy it.. I just bought the JL Rubicon in October and being a truck guy my whole life ( now at 60 yrs old) its nice to have the luxury along with all the bells and whistles and still have the truck feeling with a LOT of class while making heads turn ,giving the prices of vehicles today and how cheap they make them ,with the new JL I feel it is definitely worth the price

      @Tom S last I checked Jeep can make as many as they want, hence no shortage for demand. If they are selling more than ever then prices should come down but nooooo Jeep got greedy. When I bought mine in 2014 there was a big wig from Jeep there that day and I talked to him, he was looking at mine while we were waiting for the paperwork to get done. He told us that jeep prices were about to go up a lot because Jeep was seeing what other vehicles were selling for and they wanted a piece of the pie. GREED.

    I do not own a jeep but the jeep is the vehicle I learned to drive stick in when I joined the Army in 86. A lot of people I see are making comments about not going off-road or needing a jeep. Then this is not a review for you. For those who live in mountainous, snow heavy regions or those who simply enjoy going off-road, this is a great option. I current drive a 2008 RRS and love taking it places that most SUV's cannot go but I am well aware that my vehicle cannot truly go where this jeep can.......at least without significant modifications IMHO.

    IF you don't like the Jeep brand, that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. I can only speak for myself and I love them. I bought a 96 Cherokee Classic in 96, still runs great with no major repairs just things you would expect from a 23 year old rig. Bought a 2000 Sahara in 2000, again, runs great and just brakes, clutch, tires and various upgrades. Just bought a JLU Rubicon fully loaded and it Is really very nice. My friends that drive everything from Rock crawlers to highway cruisers are very impressed with the JLU Rubicon, you see, they are not brand biased and judge based on real world experience.... As I do. Calling Jeep a crappy death trap is just ignorant, or hater

    Nice! It looks really aggressive, but it has too much creature comforts for me. Its trying to compete with every other 4 wheel drive SUV on the market. Jeep used to be a rugged vehicle for off road driving with a manual transmission, not a 8 speed automatic. It has been transformed into a city type SUV like all the others. A/C and a info screen, pw, pb, power everything. That's why its so damn pricey. Its just another urban vehicle. Remove all the luxury options and it would be more affordable, and made to do what its suppose to do. Go off road! Great presentation Joe, keep em' comin', thanks.

      I agree with you! I also hope you know why? It is because the Jeep company has sold their label to Fiat and now Fiat is in charge of making it the way they want it to be made. They are now installing cheap motors in it that is made from another country like they do with Chryslers. All that luxury crap they are putting in it is from the Chrysler point of view. So yeah it sucks now, sad to say. It is no longer a Jeep, it's a cheap a*s Chrysler product with a joke of a high price tag on it.

      A lot of the "bells and whistles" of the Rubicon lay in the suspension, mechanical, and 4x4 systems.

    $56,000 and no Sky-One Touch Powertop? I have been pricing these things and I think the ones I priced came out to that much but it had the retractable roof which I think costs about $4,000 or so. The only design decision that I don't like about these Rubicons is the red dash thing the put in.

    What about tip or rollover? I hear Wranglers are the highest in the industry at almost 30%. Did you have any concerns?

  • @actontreadway1168
    @actontreadway1168 5 лет назад

    I just bought almost the exact same car, same color. I got the nicer looking wheels, though. Also, black top, which I like better because you don’t have to worry about scratching it; already rougher. It’s actually hard to tell it’s not the same color as the car because that gray is so close. Love the steel bumpers. Such a great car and I was super surprised at how many heads it turns! That part I don’t like so much, but it’s not overwhelming like a lambo or something. One thing, though: two little “cubbies” in the back seat? Why aren’t those cup Holders? I had to buy aftermarket and install cup holders myself. Drop in part that replaces that useless thing!

    Rubicon model has option others don’t. Like front and rear lockers and sway bar disconnect. Sport models are more affordable. Also lot of details he couldn’t name in the time frame of this vid. The new jl is the nicest wrangler yet. Prices on a good tj model are actually climbing. I think like most vehicles they are over priced. Trading my 2015 jk for new rubi 2020 today!

      @@birish21 Uh, the GMC is beautiful and a car you can roll up to the Beverly Hills Hotel in, but I understand what you're saying. I'm not using the truck to do off-roading and my husband is a contractor, so he does need to throw things in the bed.
