The Gods took different forms and incarnations with the decline of mystery, even new gods were created with the differing religions due to Mystery. But they do predate the White Titan. They also didn't come in a meteor. Only the Mesoamerica ones came from a meteor that turn the wildlife into gods.

Actually she's one of the best Archer units and even in-story, Ishtar is far from useless when she is serious/focused. She did just as much as Ereshkigal did at the very end of the singularity.

Well, it's implied that Rin is currently Ishtar's subconscious, making Brunette Aqua here behave more like Rin than she would like. Some fanfics (read: Doujins) have her becoming steadily more like Rin as time goes on. One such that I have read, has her kiss in-game Shirou out of the blue, proceed to have sex with him and even call him "Emiya-kun" immediately afterwards - a thing only Rin does in Stay Night. Kinda makes sense as a pairing if you think about it - Fake Ishtar with Fake Gilgamesh. I have that as head canon that that is what actually happens since I want actual Rin back plus I also have Emiya and her on the same account on the english server.

Rin is also really bad at driving like Ishtar. In UBW CD drama, she bought a car and attempt to drive around with Shirou and waver to make sure she does not fuck up. She fuck up and get lost in the city which waver has to guide her back. At the end it revealed Rin end up selling that car.
Someone needs to do a Fate fanfic where Ishtar, Ereshkigal, and Parvati are summoned as Servants in the 5th Fuyuki HGW. Throw in Lancer Arthuria and Sitonai for good measure

Some of the facts about Ishtar reminds me of Boa Hancock from One Piece. For example: - When Ishtar tried win the King Gilgamesh"s hand in marriage, but was unsuccessful, she sent the Bull of Heaven to attack him & Enkidu, but only for the creature to be defeated. This could be similar to how Hancock's 1st encounter with Luffy played out where he wasn't attracted by her beauty, which lead her to order Bacura to kill him but only to meet a similar fate as the bull did. - During her journey to the underworld, Ishtar was forced to be stripped of her personal belongings, which was also the source of her power. Now this could also parallel with Hancock when she was unable to help her take Luffy any further to Impel Down to rescue Ace due to how she wouldn't be able to use her powers nor hide him.
wait..so.. Ishtar died in the underworld?... so how did she come back to check on her husband? and after that... I understand that she wanted to revenge gil ...but did she used the gorgon (medusa) as one of her army? and letter on to get medusa with her sister just to find out that its the wrong gorgon and its tiamat? ... so ishtar , her sister and gil worked together to kill tiamat after she was summoned as a demi-servent (i love rin btw :3 )

OK HOLY SHIT i just got her. i just came home today from work it is 12pm and i log into FGO just to do the christmas event. i noticed the shop reset so i used 100 mana prisms to get 5 summoning cards just for the lols to see if i can get Ishtar. well i managed to get her on the third try. i was just quick tapping all of them because i was under the impression that i had not chance in hell i would summon her. needless to say i was surprised i got her at all. this is after I tried 90 quartz spin on Ishtar a few days ago and a few summoning tickets several days ago with no luck. moral is whether ur F2P for whaling just keep swimming just keep swimming swimming swimming.. and maybe you will be lucky.

I kept wondering why she was using Rin's body. Before watching this I theorized that Ishtar somehow convinced Rin into letting her use her body. But now I see it was the Grail that chose a Rin from an alternate timeline so Ishtar can fight as a Heroic Spirit. FINALLY! It was explained! Thanks!

Something thats really ironic is the fact that even though Ishtar and Ereshkigal are the opposite, both of them were embodied on Tohsaka Rin🤔
I hope that we will see Etana of Kish in Fate at some point would love to see Fate's depiction of his story as he gets the Plant of Birth from Ishtar.
