This is a genuinely direct question. Do you, or do you think others, like Elizabeth in spite of her crimes or through ignoring them? I personally have a hard time believing she really didn't think what she was doing was evil.
I like her despite them, though I do think she suffered from severe mental illness and combined the upbringing she had, I truly think she didn’t think she was doing anything wrong.
Not sure if its canon, but in the Fate/GO event that introduces Mecha Eli, they reveal that Elizabeth has a beautiful singing voice when singing for someone else. Her voice is only terrible when she's singing for herself (which is what she's doing at all of her concerts).
After doing some research, I have learned that Elizabeth’s draconic traits were integrated in an interesting way. Aside from the fact that the Báthory family crest is a dragon claw and her legend went on to inspire the vampire Carmilla, dragons in Hungarian legend didn’t breath fire. Instead, it is stated that their voices were so fell and mighty, that a dragon could shred your body and mind by shouting at you. We all know what she’s infamous for.
Someone mentioned an interesting point of Elizabeth/Carmilla. They said it was strange that a serial killer was an idol, but one of the things idols represent is youth and Liz/Carmilla wanted to keep herself young.
How many real life serial killers have fan clubs? Look at some old interviews and see how many chase the killer thinking they are attractive (www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/shadow-boxing/201204/women-who-love-serial-killers )

I think of it in this way: Lancer Liz has yet to actually do anything wrong. She is summoned as the fourteen year old girl, yet to kill needlessly and is the image of what people think she would have been as a child. That itself of worthy of pity, as she is haunted by sins she has yet to commit. Yet even so, she has tried in many games up until this point point to atone for them and become something other than a heartless monster, and personally I find that beautiful and part of what makes her one of my favorite Fate/ characters. As for the question of whether she actually thought she was evil, I don't think so. At all. People naturally try to justify their actions, as we have egos and a mental status we don't want broken. She didn't think she was evil, because she was never taught morality. She didn't think she was evil, as she was never taught that the peasantry were even HUMAN. She got the worst of nature (being inbred and born with mental illnesses) and nurture (her absolutely horrible upbringing). I find it hard, no, impossible to deem someone guilty for actions they didn't actually commit, try so hard to avoid, and are fighting against years of a horrible home-life and mental illness. In fact, I find that admirable. Carmilla is another story entirely. She is Liz's mirror; something she did become in the past, yet something she's denying. Carmilla has given up, unlike Liz. Carmilla has committed atrocities, unlike Liz. Carmilla doesn't show remorse, unlike Liz. She is a monster who kills and bathes in blood because that is the nature she accepted for herself. To her, killing is the same as buttering your toast in the morning. She is the aspect of Elizabeth we cannot forgive, and the one Lancer Elizabeth is trying desperately to fight against, as seen in Orleans (albeit it was rushed and unsubtle). In conclusion, I may be biased as Liz is one of my favorite Fate/ characters, but I believe she should be held innocent of actions she has yet to commit. In fact, holding her guilty and judging her for them would only drive her to become the monster she once was. To be properly redeemed and become the idol she wants to be, she needs to be cherished, shown morality, and be kept on the straight and narrow. For this reason I really want at least a Light Novel that completely focuses on her and gives her a character arc based on this.
Can I just say how much I love the way you make these lore videos? The music, visuals, and your voice work in such harmony that make the wait worth while! Keep it up man!
That is something i wanted to mention early on n got distractes on some other great replies. Hi timing, cadence n actual voice. shows considerable talent n proffessionalism. Maybe he could find some V.O. kinda James Earl Jones. A voice that is distinctive ni matter where r when you here it. I got no prob with fanboy/girlling at times. But quite frankly This Ain't One of them. I've heard a few of the reports n they never cease to amaze of the repeated quality.
That's the most confusing part of evil.... The most evil people in history were simply ignorant. If we were in their position we could have easily become like them. At the same time, people like that are responsible for nearly genocidal actions...... it is hard to not to feel disgusted by this. Today we have unlimited access to information, so we have more understanding for each other.
People back in Elizabeth time were highly superstitious and ignorance. Easily believed a mere false news and rumors. Mostly there are many uneducated and fail to understand the difference between a wolf and a dog. Noble families often pit each other in the name of their selfishness. Bathory became notorious due to other nobility groups but also due to Liz father or her husband.
You know it would have been interesting if Elizabeth and Carmilla appeared in the FSN as Lancer and Assassin Servants in UBW route. Not only do you get Shirou confront his future self in Archer EMIYA, so would Elizabeth facing her ultimate future in Carmilla. Elizabeth would definite have synergy with Shirou if she were his Servant in this aspect and since they both have future selves they despise
I’d definitely read something like that though in that story Elizabeth has to be his servant and there’s probably a way to explain that kiritsugo removed Avalon and dug it down somewhere which will probably become his again later, but as he doesn’t have it you can either say there’s a Elizabeth catalyst in that shed that Kiritsugo had gotten at some point or just say the plot demands it and they’re vaguely similar.
For me the question of evil or guilt for Elizabeth also extends to whether or not Elizabeth should be punished for crimes she didn't commit, as the Elizabeth we summon in Fate Grand Order and elsewhere is 14 years old, and while she retains the memories of her future form that becomes Carmilla, the persona we get is that of the amoral young woman who has yet to kill needlessly. The fact she possesses the nature of innocent monster suggests to me that she is in a way no different than Fran and others of the like, whose upbringing didn't contribute to a true sense of right and wrong. For me Elizabeth is exactly that, an innocent monster, undeserving of being called evil or judged by humanity, as both her upbringing and the nature of the world around her resulted in a young girl becoming the ultimate expression of the nature of aristocrats of the age, making the real monster the system of nobility in which she was born into, it being the real source of the evil she is charged with. With Carmilla, the question of guilt feels equally difficult, as her condition makes the question of moral choice impossible. As a historical human, her delight of suffering and senseless disregard of life can indeed be called evil, though its an evil still tied to the system of nobility in which she was born into and cannot be attributed to her alone. As a vampire, the question of morality is mute, as its hard to judge her killing people for survival as any different than a tiger eating a person for food. The fact that Carmilla, like Vlad III, has had her persona warped by literature and folklore makes me question whether a partially fictional character can be charged with being evil, when that evil isn't necessarily born from them but instead forced upon them, as is the case of Angra Mainyu, by people long after the source individual has passed. The fact she ultimately hates herself speaks to a person suffering regrets, something no truly evil person would feel after they have acted out their deeds.
The only (potential) rebuttal I can think of for your last point is that they regret that they have been caught and punished. I would also personally argue from that Liz would not have wanted any of the stuff she did to others to be done unto her, and thus there probably would have been a little twinge of "Hey maybe this is not alright". Of course growing up in as warped a background as hers would not help matters at all. It has also been suggested (though not widely subscribed to) that she was the victim of a complex Catholic/Habsburg plot.
@@KahmulofRuhn Yeah, a lot of people who commit crimes or act out evil deeds only ever regret being caught. That said, Carmilla's character is interesting because she accepts everything about herself, except for Elizabeth's rejection of her. But even within that acceptance, there is an awareness, a self loathing that most truly evil people wont experience. She accepts her reality as a monster, accepts the punishment she received and the death she experienced, yet still feels a bit of Elizabeth's desire for something more, even as she rejects anything to do with redemption. In her Interlude "Alone, Again" she accepts the curses and hatred of the dead she killed, but denies them when that desire for revenge moves beyond her to her Master, showing a sense of both acceptance of her evil, but still a rejection of evil as an act onto others not deserving of it, something she herself was guilty of in life. Her final words in her "Reality" to the Master, "What if I had met someone like you when i was "Elizabeth," What if I had reached out to a beacon of light like you..." describes a person left alone, left with no hope and only despair. While her acceptance of her acts defines "Carmilla," that final whisper of a yearning for hope and the rejection of evil like hers spreading onto others, is something that will always stand out for me as potentially the only truly human part left in the beautiful monster that is Carmilla of Fate.
In Fate, Innocent Master is actually a skill possessed by servants which alter their appearance based on the deeds that they have made while they were still alive. Eliza has this skill and results into her being a cute girl with dragon horns, fangs and tail. Funny how you put that one literally into her situation or life, that she became like that because she doesn't have any ideas that her deeds weren't good after all and that she only thinks of herself whenever she does that. She realized she was deluded all the time and realized it. Now, she hates her past self now for that one lol but come to think of it. She wasn't like that in her debut in Fate CCC but at least it's good that she reformed after that one.
Somehow I'm a bit sad that Elizabeth in FGO has somehow lost an aspect of her character when compared to CCC I'm assuming due to the existence of Carmilla. Don't get me wrong, to simply say i like Carmilla is an understatement but I somehow want to see the darker side of Liz more in FGO, the only time this side of Liz shows is in the KnK event i believe.
Tamamo: wasn't an actual villain, got brutally murdered for no reason other than existing, she only wanted love, she even sacrificed 8 tails in order to stay in her human/servant form. Elizabeth: murdered innocent people for the sake of it and bathed in their blood. Yeah tamamo is the evil one over here, sure.
In extella tamamo teach discipline in hidden to Elizabeth by make her as Maid . There are time tamamo talk about Elizabeth to hakuno.... And if you play character assassin from China , we will learn that Elizabeth action is amused from assassin perspective and he also teach some kind discipline to Elizabeth.
True she did seem to get what she gave as an Aristocrat in life. I think that's one of the strengths of the FATE series franchise. keeping a pseudo-reality based characters ground in there respective psuedo-reality.
Commissar Purity I hope you read up on Tamamo’s lore and that she’s also Daji, who brutally murdered people for fun. Tamamo is far worse than Elizabeth.
My favorite servant in fgo. She sure got a lot better with all this character development from other games. Fun-fact, despite not being supposed to feel pain as a berserker, when she s hit in battle, she yell as if she was stabbed or something
I like Elly due to the small redemption arc she’s going through across CCC -> F/GO. As it’s implied she remembers her experiences in the moon cell in F/GO and retains some of her character development. Heck, her 3rd ascension (in F/GO) adorns her in pigs and squirrels, her nicknames for Male/Female Hakuno. Elisabeth goes from this warped morals monster, to redemption seeker, to “well I guess you can kind of call her a Heroic Spirit?” You putting this video out as the F/GO Halloween 2 event currently running is perfect timing as we see a version of Elly completing her redemption arc, complete with alignment switch from Evil to Good.
Waifu? Possibly. Best Dominatrix of the Fate universe? Without question. Also the vampire version of Carmilla makes an appearance in the Castlevania netflix series. And to answer the question, most nobles of the time period saw commoners as almost cattle, a resource to be used, similar to how a psychopath or sociopath might disassociate themselves from their atrocities not seeing their victims as worth of pity. Its possible she just never thought of her victims as being worth her time.
What, you're telling me that whole draconic setup is part of her heroic manifestation based on her family crest? And here I thought she was just into that kind of thing.
As I recall, after Liz acts as hakuno's temporary servant in CCC, she willing goes back into imprisonment as a sort of purgatory, with the hope that she can be redeemed afterwards. You get the choice of keeping her prison cube or giving it to Rin. Then in Extella she joins Archimedes not to show anyone up, but to try to save hakuno.
Great video on Elly-chan! Interesting how terrible her history and lore are with the horrific things she did, yet her charm and desire for redemption still end up making her feel like a compelling character you want to support (I didn't like her initially because the idol thing seemed ridiculous but she grew on me over time). Carmilla is of course her truly evil side and vampiric legacy, but even she is interesting despite her cruelty (and she's my first SR and waifu of FGO, so I can't be mean to her either)! I'm surprised you didn't sneak in some of Elizabeth's storyline in the singularity narratives that she has shown up in thus far, particularly Orleans and E Pluribus Unum. Orleans is especially relevant since she rejects her future self and clearly shows a desire to not become the monster that her fate led her to be in life (actually fighting fate, and a good parallel to the central conflict of Jeanne and Jalter in a way), and her role in America was also effective since it shows her willingness to fight as a hero for the future and find true friendship with her comrades like Nero Bride and Robin Hood. Link her development in those stories together and she actually has some pretty good characterization in FGO's story so far, better than many other side-character servants (and that's not even counting the fun event shenanigans with her which in my head are only really pseudo-canonical to the main plotline of FGO anyway). She certainly grew on me over time despite her silliness and terrible historic crimes. Keep singing, Liz, one day your song may save the world (at least you hit pretty damn hard at NP3 now and your charisma is one of the best in the game)!
;-; she was the first servant i got, she was my favorite and i was so damn scared of her after i read her history. I still love her though... I give claps to FGO for making her avatar her young self who despises her old self They really thought through all of this
All this Fate Lore are great and I hope that we can hear something about Hans Christian Andersen one day, he is one of my favorites, one of some reasons is this strange but interesting difference between his voice and appearance. XD
*slowly look at my fone, grab it, play fgo and look at both elizabeth and camilla silently* ........I feel sorry for them really I am? If I was either of their masters I hug them both and tell them they are beautiful enough, no more blood bath unless its a fight for the grail.
Thank you for this. Carmella was my first 4 star servant in FGO and I have both Caster and Lancer version of Elizabeth. Her interactions are always fun to watch, both in FGO and the Umbral Star game.
This is helpful, again. Liz's second Noble Phantasm sounds like it could be like Trickstar's field spell, both acting like stages, but the former doesn't seem to have people entering it, so I'm treating it as a continuous spell card, as akin to Boudicca's Chariot and Lord Chaldeas. Now if Liz were to have a deck, I say Trickstar's would be perfect!
Elizabeth needs a good role model, and Carmilla needs a *stern* scolding. And I don't have Uncle Vlad... At least some good rulers in my Chaldea would do. One more reason to roll Gilgamesh.
Would love to see you do Dracula next. Especially with how differently both Vlad III(Extra) and Actually!Dracula(Apocrypha) view the Bram Stoker story.
I'd like to point to F/GO's third Halloween event where we meet Mecha Eli who is literally the incarnation of how Elizabeth would have been if she had a better role model during her time alive. Even Saber Elizabeth in the second Halloween event shows that she has the capacity to do good. True, these may be joke events and not to be taken as seriously, but I think there's more to it. Elizabeth herself even went on record to say if someone good natured was there to educate her she never would have turned out the way she did. I hope that there is a dedicated story in some way to show Elizabeth being able to redeem herself. I think she deserves it the same way Nero and Tamamo both are redeemed from their atrocities due to Hakuno's influence. Liz can be redeemed as well I imagine.
Just so you know (even though you probably know by now) EXTELLA is a direct sequel to CCC. Basically, it just means that Hakuno didn’t fight Saver. But then again, each story chapter in EXTELLA changes to a different timeline because Archimedes was like “bitch i h8 this y i keep failing?”
I like Elizabeth because the younger version rejects where she ended up. It makes the moment she rises up and does good things in various Fate storylines more interesting. The girl is still messed up. But the version I like isn’t pure evil. Even if it’s pointless to clash with her future self or aim for things like becoming an idol it is the effort that matters. She’s always going to be a bit off and chaotic. But she has the potential to rise above her flaws. Can’t change what she became and the Carmilla version has to be held responsible for her actions. Even if she wasn’t taught better that’s no comfort to the victims. In terms of the real person who knows where the truth lies. We’ve seen with history how the bias of the writer can create pure fictional accounts of a person. Was she truly evil? Did she do everything she’s accused of? I don’t know. But if so then her notoriety is deserved. But I’d save that for the person she became and not for a younger version of her that hadn’t done anything yet.
I just realised, for anyone who plays mobile legends, the hero Camilla I think is based off of this lore, and now all her story and abilities makes sense to me now aha
Teach your kids “no empathy” and “others are lesser than you” what could go wrong? They exposed themselves to a monster of their own making. Its hard for me to ascribe fault to young Liz, she had twisted and despicable parents who were (apparently) intent on making her even more so. They constructed for her a pillar of self-importance and stranded her atop it. I can see how “innocent monster” applies. She’s a victim too, but I can’t decide if she’s better or worse off than any of her own victims, having to look back on what she became. It really is pitiful. I honestly just don’t understand Carmilla (the servant). She acts like her hobbies are simply a matter of course, but at the same time, claims to “hate [her]self” without explanation. I can’t trace her lines back to a single “person,” if you know what I mean. They don’t draw a coherent enough image for me to hold an opinion on her.
On a somewhat related note, to the later stuff... “Velber: WE ARE ALL AWAKE NOW. AWAKE AND HUNGRY. BUT WHERE IS IT? TAKE US HOME, ARCHIMEDES. MAKE US WHOLE.”
Everyone hates on Liz but most people don't look at the truth of the matter. Elizabeth was punished for her crimes. She's dead in fate. And she even realizes what she's done and doesn't want to do it. Liz in fate could actually be potentially saved from commiting her crimes. She could be taught otherwise. Who says a servant is doomed to commit the same crimes and mistakes they did in life?
Have you ever tried to wish upon the Holy Grail to let Eli sing as well as she thought she did? Don’t. Cause apparently, it’s beyond even the Five Magics.
Welll... We already have a Berserker candidate from CCC or if thats not enough have her with Velber. And for Archer I don't know have a Camilla Alt that has her going out to "Hunt Deer" and other Game in a uniform as most ruling members did in search of the famous White Deer in an attempt to kill it for a Thanksgiving Event idk??? Rider is so easy its stupid. Just make Carmilla into a Dominatrix and base her NP on her famous Bloodbaths to preserve her Youth. (or give this to Archer either or :P)
14:18 I would have liked a mission to prevent Archimedes from corrupting Elizabeth, and subsequently redeem her during the Golden Poem Route. Personally, would send Archer, Medusa, and Jeanne to save her. Perhaps I’m being soft on her, but I cannot ignore the cry for help she gave. I couldn’t live with myself if I did.
You pronounced every Hungarian word completely wrong by the way. ;P Interestingly Liz's voice actress does an astonishingly good job at pronouncing those Hungarian words properly.
Ohhh the Hungarian noble who killed her own young maids to the point even the King of Hungary fears her despite finding her guilty also she’s my first Assassin
I figured that the castle wasn't an amplifier, it was an instrument. Three hundred screams of pain, fear, anger, and despair, some lasting moments and others lasting days, all concentrated into an instant. The Curse status isn't from her awful singing, it's from the negative emotion of her victims.
Actually in Extella Liz becomes an agent of the Umbral Star willingly only in Tamamo's arc. In the other timelines Archimedes forcefully infuses her with Void Cells which corrupts her mind and body, warping to her comprehension and idea of an idol to the point she thinks being like her monstrous self is what is being an idol like. Archimedes is the same in that matter. His mind was warped by the corruption so he can't think completely objectively anymore because of the prejudices and sense of supremacy this mental state gave him which keeps making him make fatal errors in his otherwise infallible planning.
@@Justic_ As I remember: Liz is Tamamo's maid in every timeline. Archimedes' sidestory shows the "first" timeline where he got corrupted, conducted experiments and corrupted Liz for the first time. In Tamamo's route she eats the ring on a whim, ruining Archimedes' plan which mindfucks him because he believes that the Umbral Star is unmistakeable rather than causing chaos and corruption rather randomly so he always expects the chaotic Liz to always go as expected. He makes the same mistake in the final arc too. Liz was provoking Titan Altera in both Nero's and Altera's arc, hence her suddenly getting pissed while talking to Nero. In the end of the final arc every other timeline gets cut off by the quantum timelock because the final arc's timeline has the most possibilities.
Great video, but man.. I really didn't know she had this backstory and what horrible stuff she did but at the same time I do understand that she was a result from her environment and how it was seen as a normal stuff to do until she attacked one of her own nobles. This really changed my mind about her and hopes she doesn't turn into Carmilla...but since they are servants, no chance of changing for better or worse.
And today if you can pay for it you can get blood transfusions from younger people to try and fight off old age based solely on tests on mice and/or rats. Thus furthering the vampire legend, the mystical properties of blood, and Elisabeth in particular.
With the environment she grew up with the possibility of having a mental illness which she probably had she probably never thought anything was wrong. Which makes things unfortunate cause you get that Elizabeth truly wants to do anything to keep herself from becoming her future self. And she doesn’t want to but she still has some of that entitled habit that she grow up so she seems to be trying to break her habits she wants to be the idol where everyone looks up to her and cheers for her
I know this is an old video but I'm begging somebody watching this that knows about classical and opera music could you please tell me what the name of the song is that starts at 1:45? I never knew the title but that music always touch my damn soul in a way I can't even describe
When fate extra ccc was released, elizabeth was simply far too demonized for someone with very cute looks. Typemoon probably realized that so it only changed in fate grand order when carmilla started to exist but she would have represented the role in ccc better had she been the original servant.
@@OtakuDaiKun i think so, yes. Tbh it is kinda hard to think why elizabeth had that kind of bloodthirsty behavior in ccc, despite her bewitching looks. In grand order, at least typemoon gave her the character development she badly deserves while they gave her villainous role and nature to her very own alter ego in carmilla.
Also, I guess the idol thing would probably be more tolerable to grasp than them genderflipping a servant or plastering the name of any goddess into one of them. It's a fanservice thing, after all.

I am not a fan of her but she should indeed be punished crimes, after all one must be punished for their actions.
in my opinion THE BITCH IS CRAZY PUNISH HER

Myles O'brien That could definitely be true.
@Myles, so what you're saying is that Elizabeth uses the Thu'um whenever she sings?
So she has a sonic-type breath weapon?
Not sure if its canon, but in the Fate/GO event that introduces Mecha Eli, they reveal that Elizabeth has a beautiful singing voice when singing for someone else. Her voice is only terrible when she's singing for herself (which is what she's doing at all of her concerts).
That would explain everything
After doing some research, I have learned that Elizabeth’s draconic traits were integrated in an interesting way.
Elizabeth: does unspeakable horrors.
Me: "aw, look at the widdle dwagon."
Sigh... Another future self hating the past self... Another past self hating their future. I'm looking at you Archer and Shirou

"Wow, I'm best girl in all of my years"
Emir Diego Montes i can totally agree to that. Also Mordred is best knight
Twitter would beg to differ on your final point.
We knew our darkest consequences, cutting down a Robin Hood Tree causing a unthinkable bad future that would eventually destroy all.
You know it would have been interesting if Elizabeth and Carmilla appeared in the FSN as Lancer and Assassin Servants in UBW route. Not only do you get Shirou confront his future self in Archer EMIYA, so would Elizabeth facing her ultimate future in Carmilla. Elizabeth would definite have synergy with Shirou if she were his Servant in this aspect and since they both have future selves they despise
worldwanderer91 interesting concept, but maybe in another universe
One wanna kill her future ,the other wanna kill his past
Coming soon...
*Fate/Denial*
I’d definitely read something like that though in that story Elizabeth has to be his servant and there’s probably a way to explain that kiritsugo removed Avalon and dug it down somewhere which will probably become his again later, but as he doesn’t have it you can either say there’s a Elizabeth catalyst in that shed that Kiritsugo had gotten at some point or just say the plot demands it and they’re vaguely similar.
Make this into a fanfic! RIGHT NOW!!!!
@@zeroherrera Indeed, I was merely playing the proverbial devil's advocate for the prosecution.
Lmao xD
I felt bad for her in Extella tho. Maybe because Tamamo kept abusing her
you gotta admit its pretty delicious irony that Elizabeth got treated like some dumb commoner by another servant.
Elisabeth goes from this warped morals monster, to redemption seeker, to “well I guess you can kind of call her a Heroic Spirit?”
You putting this video out as the F/GO Halloween 2 event currently running is perfect timing as we see a version of Elly completing her redemption arc, complete with alignment switch from Evil to Good.
Waifu?
A happy occasion of getting spooked. I am happy to take care of our Dragon Idol.
“ tools of torture like The finger breaker” I was popping my fingers. I shivered 😰😨
Your voice makes listening to these better, idk how to explain it but it's captivating. Anyway nice upload!
Just like the modern counterparts. Carmilla and Queen Elizabeth.
We think that history could not repeat itself.
Very appropriate for this time of the year.
As long as she keeps on the path of redemption, I have no problem loving Liz.
Oooooohhhhhh yeah! The dragon loli herself.
Elizabeth vs Jack
But also her grown up form Carmilla
More like preteen she is between a Loli and Teen from body type.
and today we cover the sad and complex story of a living meme
Yay Elizabeth Bathory! 😍😍😍 And Camilla is bae !
Elizabeth my first sr as beginner and carmilla my free pick sr. Thank you for doing them!
I give claps to FGO for making her avatar her young self who despises her old self
They really thought through all of this
Thank you for making this! I really like Elisabeth so this was really interesting :D
Talk about a bloodbath
Between Liz, Ko-Gil, and Medea Lily, there needs to a be a club for child servants that fear their "future selves"
If you managed to make Archimedes scream your name with unfathomable craze, then you're the one.
As always what Type Moon do with these historical figures is as weird as it is intriguing 😆
Why are there so many versions of Eli-chan?
A girl's heart is complicated~!
All this Fate Lore are great and I hope that we can hear something about Hans Christian Andersen
one day, he is one of my favorites, one of some reasons is this strange but interesting difference
between his voice and appearance. XD
I love the grisly tale of Elisabeth Bathory being told by Otaku DaiKun. More Fate Lore videos to come.
if the ghost rider is in a holy grail war he will say this to Elizabeth Bathory "your soul is stained by innocent blood and feel their pain"
*slowly look at my fone, grab it, play fgo and look at both elizabeth and camilla silently*
........I feel sorry for them really I am? If I was either of their masters I hug them both and tell them they are beautiful enough, no more blood bath unless its a fight for the grail.
I'm so happy you did this, thank you for this video.
Thank you for this. Carmella was my first 4 star servant in FGO and I have both Caster and Lancer version of Elizabeth. Her interactions are always fun to watch, both in FGO and the Umbral Star game.
Last year i didnt think much of her. Now i love her
Did not know the dragon idol was so dark. Really want to see them in an anime one day.
Very relevant with FGO's current NA halloween event :O Also in Chaldea, villains can live long enough to become a hero .
I hope you enjoyed the Fate Lore
*"DEERLET"*
This is helpful, again. Liz's second Noble Phantasm sounds like it could be like Trickstar's field spell, both acting like stages, but the former doesn't seem to have people entering it, so I'm treating it as a continuous spell card, as akin to Boudicca's Chariot and Lord Chaldeas. Now if Liz were to have a deck, I say Trickstar's would be perfect!
I watched this in school and I got scared that someone would find a little girl in a bathtub filled with blood
Emiko Lina Just tell em it's educational lol.
Elizabeth needs a good role model, and Carmilla needs a *stern* scolding.
And I don't have Uncle Vlad...
At least some good rulers in my Chaldea would do.
One more reason to roll Gilgamesh.
Jalter’s the only good role model.
Yay profiles are back, can you do d'eon? I would love one done to my favorite servant
I love these lore videos
Different series but ,This one made me realize why Lady D from resident evil becomes a dragon now
Yes!! Finally! And could you do Rama?
Despite her atrocities and mental illness, I can't help but find Elizabeth as both indearing and charming
I always knew she was this twisted but I still loved her especially her grown up self.
14:00 That Anderson cosplay..😏👌
Mr. Anderson.
Would love to see you do Dracula next. Especially with how differently both Vlad III(Extra) and Actually!Dracula(Apocrypha) view the Bram Stoker story.
TheSinexdeath He comes out today actually.
Liz can be redeemed as well I imagine.
she's sure grew into a fine woman... Hhhmmm!
Doesn't Gilgamesh comment at one point stating she is human for chasing her desires or something?
Eli same as Gilgamesh itself.
Good video like usual.
Tho I just can't get used to the self portrait that you use at the end of the video and in your live streams.
there's a story that she was framed by someone who is jealous of her... so she was caught and died because of false accusations...
Perfect episode before the week of Halloween 🎃👻🎃👻🎃
10/10 Great video!
She is that loli that ate that ring in Extella like it was candy XD
Liz is a wonderful lunatic who will do the insane. And really can do a lot of good when she’s not trying to.
Lots of love dor eli lately. I like it
*DORAGUN SCALUUUU!*
olvastam róla, és ő egy őrült nő (and yes this is Hungarian and I do live in Hungary)
Thanks to this I now have a better understanding of Liz and my opinion of her has changed.
Well that was some dipping into crazy right there...
This was amazing to know about Elizabeth bathory
Have you ever tried to wish upon the Holy Grail to let Eli sing as well as she thought she did? Don’t.
Cause apparently, it’s beyond even the Five Magics.
Probably same drive an Gilgamesh itself. Personality win that magic and Legend.
She can apparently sing pretty well but whenever she sings she activates dragon breath
One day I would like to see an all Liz support lineup in FGO. When is DW gonna give us Archer, Rider, and Berserker versions of Liz?
There's always Summer.
You pronounced every Hungarian word completely wrong by the way. ;P
Interestingly Liz's voice actress does an astonishingly good job at pronouncing those Hungarian words properly.
Naru You mean pronunciation?
@@OtakuDaiKun Yes.
My English failed me yet again. ;P
Fixed it. ;)
The biggest failure is I wrote the right word in the next sentence. XD
Naru Well I always look up samples of people pronouncing the terms first. Maybe I have the wrong sources or am a bad mimic.

Well Hungarian is quite the oddball compared to other languages.
I guess some sounds just doesn't exist in English.
Ohhh the Hungarian noble who killed her own young maids to the point even the King of Hungary fears her despite finding her guilty also she’s my first Assassin
feels good to have my 3rd reroll with emiya, liz and carmilla
I like Elizabeth and Carmila but this felt uneasy to actually listen to...wew
@@Justic_
As I remember:
Liz is Tamamo's maid in every timeline.
In the end of the final arc every other timeline gets cut off by the quantum timelock because the final arc's timeline has the most possibilities.
...The moment when Nasu acknowledges that there is a country by the name of "Hungary" out in the world... yay!
I love how Dai kun used that lewd picture of Carmilla in overalls...... love you man, thank you 👌😩
You planning to do Illyasviel's lore or Anastasia's story?
And today if you can pay for it you can get blood transfusions from younger people to try and fight off old age based solely on tests on mice and/or rats. Thus furthering the vampire legend, the mystical properties of blood, and Elisabeth in particular.
*cough* Carmilla also wants the GO Protagonist *cough cough*
With the environment she grew up with the possibility of having a mental illness which she probably had she probably never thought anything was wrong. Which makes things unfortunate cause you get that Elizabeth truly wants to do anything to keep herself from becoming her future self. And she doesn’t want to but she still has some of that entitled habit that she grow up so she seems to be trying to break her habits she wants to be the idol where everyone looks up to her and cheers for her
So if she fully materializes does she keep her dragon tail and wings and would her progeny inherit the traits
I know this is an old video but I'm begging somebody watching this that knows about classical and opera music could you please tell me what the name of the song is that starts at 1:45? I never knew the title but that music always touch my damn soul in a way I can't even describe
I would imagine it touched you. It's Mozart's Lacrimosa. The version used in the 2006 Fate Stay Anime is called Eirei Chinkon.
When fate extra ccc was released, elizabeth was simply far too demonized for someone with very cute looks. Typemoon probably realized that so it only changed in fate grand order when carmilla started to exist but she would have represented the role in ccc better had she been the original servant.
MegamanX45 You mean they made Carmilla to bear the burden of her crimes?
@@OtakuDaiKun i think so, yes. Tbh it is kinda hard to think why elizabeth had that kind of bloodthirsty behavior in ccc, despite her bewitching looks. In grand order, at least typemoon gave her the character development she badly deserves while they gave her villainous role and nature to her very own alter ego in carmilla.
MegamanX45 I think her bloodlust is appropriate. I’m not a fan of them just making her into a wannabe idol.
@@OtakuDaiKun well, you already know how things work in the nasuverse and like I said, I really think carmilla suits better for that role.
Also, I guess the idol thing would probably be more tolerable to grasp than them genderflipping a servant or plastering the name of any goddess into one of them. It's a fanservice thing, after all.
I don't think Elizabeth is evil I just think she didn't know if she was doing bad things in life and when she was a holy spirit she knew
