Got a Tesla M3 needed to replace the A7 with EV for Business Use but didn't want another Tesla since Musk got rid of parking sensors a, indicator and drive selector stalks, so got a BYD Seal. BYD is a really lovely car to drive and has a HUD, which I value and something else Musk doesn't do, albeit the BYD HUD does not display SatNav info. Unsurprisingly for a Chinese made car, the BYD charge flap and washer filler bottle cap are cheap and nasty, and more surprisingly the car is let down by poor MMI. Having the driver seat position selection buried in the MMI settings menu is just too damn silly. If the last driver was a dwarf you get into the car, which has positioned the seat nicely for ingress and shut the door whereupon you get crushed up against the steering column whilst you start the MMI, for which weirdly you have to depress the brake pedal. You then wait for The MMI to launch, before you can go down 2 menu options to seat settings to select your memorised position (The trick is not to close the door until you have selected the seat position, so it stays in the ingress position). Notwithstanding these issues it is a very comfortable car to drive and very sporty. It also looks great. PS It was also at least £30,000 cheaper than the Audi ETron GT, which I could not get in time for the financial year!
Difficult to criticise the seal for being a little cheap around the edges, it's a £20,000 car in China so although it's priced quite premium over here it really shouldn't be judged as such.
@@burnerone8345 Weirdly though the finish is very good with doors closing beautifully, compared to the doors on the Tesla that are misaligned. Another odd thing is they don't fit the dashcam for the European market. The cabling and mount for it are all there in the overhead binnacle. The pity is unlike the Tesla you cannot use the vehicle cameras to record. Unlike the Tesla this car has been designed to behave like an ICE car.
It seems these German brands are all alike. Bad staff service can ruin a nice expensive showroom, and I've had bad service at BMW that made me want to stop buying BMWs straight away.

Blimey, going back to a brand that treats you, and doesn’t test repair work like this is quite something.
It’s the service levels that are putting me off staying with Audi. Always had great service from my local Mazda and Hyundai dealers.

I looked at the spec for the Seal as they are good value with my company leasing. It’s a bit small for me, but a great value car.
Which Audi dealer are you using with the poor level of service?

I was always well looked after by BMW. Had a 5 series but that was many years ago.
