- Turn on the subtitles and go with us on a snow-fun trip to Biwako Valley Ski Resort in Shiga prefecture, which is about 35 minutes by train from Kyoto or 45 minutes from Osaka. There are 3 reasons why you should visit this place.
First, Transport is easy. Do it yourself, save money, and enjoy the scenery. The journey is smooth and amazing. We made great memories. If you have additional questions about how to get there, put them in the comments, and we are happy to help.
Second, I am pretty sure you will be inspired to visit the beautiful Biwako Valley Resort. This is not a sponsored video. We just really like it here. It is our first family snow experience and it is really fun! It's also worth visiting all year round...in winter, spring, summer, or fall. There are many activities you can do here, like hiking, zip-line, snow playing, skiing, and taking that Instagram photo overlooking the enormous Lake Biwa.
Lastly, you will never go hungry coming here. You have options for food. You can dine in the beautiful Biwako Terrace Cafe, like us, and be fascinated with the gorgeous view of the Terrace and the Lake Biwa on the horizon. There are also other restaurants featured on their website like the Bird Castle, Ekinaka, and the Haluka. Check it out.
Truly visiting here is a must-experience when in Kyoto or Osaka!

I loved going there it was so fun! I went a while ago it’s very family friendly. It’s also a great experience! I totally recommend it to other people and families❤❤
I totally agree!
what date is this 😍
3rd of March 2024 @nathaliebathan580. We were glad to still catch snow. Are you planning to go here? Biwako Valley Resort's website has a live cam. It was helpful to check online before going, because originally we planned on going to Biwako on 29 Feb, but it was closed due to bad weather. So we went another day.
Hopefully, you find this tip helpful.
@@DFamilyTravelsyes our plan will be on March 20, 2025. Hoping there is still artificial snow for skiing :)

Good luck! I recommend you check their website for ❄️ advisory. I’m not sure if there’s artificial snow.
