I always thought Lara Tybur's warhammer titan looked like it was wearing an ''executioner'' mask which is quite fitting considering her purpose was to execute Eren.

The climax of marley arc and war for paradise arc are SO good. And then there is Return to shinganshina, where the whole arc is a giant climax. Along with its slower, deeper moments, AOT sure knows how to deliver its hype.

In case you forgot, thar drunk guy hugged Zofia a few episodes back while mistaking her for Gabi. In that same scene, there was a black cat jumping in front of the screen (which symbolizes bad luck).
In this episode, we see that both Zofia and the drunk guy had similar fates and were crushed by rocks (pretty bad luck if you ask me 💀)
Damn, this is why I love AoT, there are so many minor details, which many miss. Thanks for pointing that out!

Easily one of the most hype AOT episodes. Getting to see all our characters from Levi Squad after what felt like forever felt amazing, just hearing the sounds of their ODM gear before we see them was badass
Hearing the Scouts before seeing them, and seeing Pieck's terror when she realizes what's happening is one of the best scenes in the show imo. I got chills hearing the ODM gear lol

@@khaii1955 the only people in Marley who actually did wrong to Eren are Reiner and maybe Zeke, depending on how much Eren actually cared about anyone other than his immediate friend circle.
It's amazingly ironic how Porco is struck with fear as he calls them the Devils of Paradis when, in order to survive, it was strictly Marley that turned them into the advanced killing machines that they are.
Even more ironic is marley is at fault why paradis is good at fighting titans
They keep sending pure titans to paradis and paradis found a way to kill titans and titan shifters
For the survey corps soldiers are harder to fight than titans but they can just use the thunder spear and guns for them

Okay but it isn’t actually Porcos fault that that happened. If he’d have spoken out about anything, he would have been one of the titans that the scouts were practicing on. Same as all the patriots and such sent there. Eren even acknowledged as much in the S3 finale with the crawling Titan.

You guys! Please! Eren is not doing this for vengeance. That's one of the main points we're supposed to take away from his talk with Reiner. And don't mistake Eren's nonreactive exterior for uncaring. He says he's like Reiner, and he acknowledges that Reiner's actions were tearing him up inside. It's just that (like Reiner did) he believes these actions are unavoidable, that he doesn't have any other choice. Now whether that's true...

I guess because you didn’t talk about Eren and Reiner talk from previous episode, you kind of forgot how it actually went. Eren is not here for revenge. Eren literally forgot about the the revenge talk that he said to Reiner before (season 2) and said to Reiner to forget about it. He broke down Reiner motivation for breaking the wall until he said he did it to save the world, which Eren understands, and said they’re the same. Because Eren wants to save “his world”, and keep moving forward
at first time watch it happened i think it makes eren more hyped but so many people missed this point thats why they misunderstood eren from even after knowing that eren knew the future! thats fcking annoying how people have misconception! that episode is really important to understand eren as character!

Only Reiner, Zeke and Pieck have knowledge of the ODM gear and how they're dangerous, that's why Pieck was so surprised and scared when she saw the troops flying. Also, Galliard's first encounter with the Eldians is against Levi and the ODM gear, what a nightmare....

“Just like Reiner,” but if you think about it, Reiner was an ignorant child, and the guilt of what he’s done is crushing him in the present day. Eren fully understands and empathizes with his “enemies,” yet slaughters them anyway, a fully grown adult, in control of himself. Sounds a lot more like a villain, doesn’t it?

I think the 'female' titan is so named because, regardless of the gender of who ends up possessing it, they'll appear 'female' in titan form.

I hate the “Reiner did it first” argument Reiner was literally a brainwashed child and eren is a basically grown man that knows Damn well he’s killing innocent people
But he had to do it, the war was already declared, it is him (and his People), or them (marleyans)

No he doesn't. He's literally been spending years trying to lessen the discrimination towards Eldians in other countries. His entire speech framed Paradis as the enemies and the other eldians as unknowing victims. If you're referring to his interaction with Magath he was only trying to convince magath to go with his plan. Neither of them enjoy sacrificing Eldians. Also you know, he IS an eldian

I think Willy doesn't really hates them...Willy knows that The Founding Titan's full ability can only be used by a person of royal blood, but that person will be bound by "Vow of renuncing war" and will not be an enemy. (During S4E4 when Willy converses with Commander Magath he says "This path of Warmongering Marley chose for itself". This implies that Marley attacked Paradis island by sending warrior unit to obtain the Founding Titan and be more powerful so that they can be most powerful in the world, and also for some resources found in Paradis. "Eldians are spawn of devils" narrative suited their plan. But actually their plan was different, suffering of Paradis Island Eldians was collateral damage.)
However, When Willy read the reports of Warrior unit's fight with Paradis, he got to know that Eren Yeager holds the Founding Titan now and is someone who is not royal. But when he got to know that during a battle Eren controlled pure titans he was shocked. He didn't knew that Eren needs to touch a titan of royal blood to activate full powers of Founding Titan.
Now Willy thinks that Eren is someone who can activate full power of Founding Titan and is not bound by First King's will. So he sees Eren and Paradis island as a threat. In order to eliminate them he arranges the theatre play to get the world to their side, to build a black and white narrative where Eldians of Paradis become the antagonist.
Willy also mentions that he is someone on whose shoulder the responsibility of Tyburs fell upon. He is under so much pressure because of the Eldian, Marleyan problem. That could be a reason for hating Eldians as he mentioned in the speech.

I don't know if y'all heard this yet, but at the beginning there's a mistranslation. Willie's "They're spawn of the devil!" is meant to be more backhanded. I think the closer translation is "Aren't they spawn of the devil?"
I'd like to see an interview from Isayama to Willy and Magath's actual thoughts on Eldians. I always felt they didn't have prejudice or it was less so than most when it came to the "devil" race.
Magath is a real one, the shot at Eren is obviously "useless" but the whole point is that it signifies Marley's counterattack in this war and therefore Magath is taking full credit, but also full responsibility no matter the outcome of the Marleyan military and nation.

Not attacking Paradis is an unacceptable risk because they KNOW that Paradisians have all the tools to attack. The graphic warning on ep5 is for every episode onwards I believe, cuz Ep 5 marks the shift in AOT, its logical to put the warning there only.
I find it very interesting how despite Armin being the one who's supposed to take up Erwin's mantle eventually, Eren and Floch resemble his ideals a lot more. With Eren being the devil to make the hard decisions and Floch representing Erwin's, "the plan has to succeed, civilians or not". It's very interesting. Floch is definitely an interesting character. Lara Tyber absolutely demolished Eren in about 2 strikes, almost one shot him and had Mikasa not shown up, things weren't looking good. And Levi when Porco showed up. Even though things changed, some things are the same. But where is Monke?
That's why they are my 3 favorite characters.
Lara still needed to eat Eren, she couldn't just hit him with a hammer. And Eren could just jump down and transform if she tried to go for him

Animation is downgraded for sure, warhammer titan looks like a 3D model... but we must understand that Mappa was only given 8 months to animate the Whole 16 episodes. WIT took 4 full months to animate the s3 e17 Levi vs Zeke fight alone. Isayama wanted the anime to end with the manga's ending so that's that

@@DECENTcrew well they started the final season and went about it in the right way so we will definitely need a part 2 to wrap it up. This normally doesn't happen because an anime is created in the purpose of promoting the manga mainly. That's what happened with promised neverland. Manga finished before the s2 dropped, so they just rushed the 2nd season
idt it was isayama's decision to end the anime with the manga (of course it didn't happen). it was most probably Kondansha's since they wanted to grab as much as cash possible from aot since they though once the manga ends, the hype will die slowly until the rest of the anime airs, which it actually did. of course its my theory...
Warhammer Titan looked amazing what are you smoking, sure CGI was noticeable but at least it did not look like witts CGI cuz their shit was rough

Lmao CGI was NOT only noticeable, it was ONLY a 3D model following basic motions no drawing done at all. I UNDERSTAND why they have to do it, but NO. It doesn't look amazing, it looks good enough. WIT's CGI was poorly handled sure but the 2D animation they did was one of the best I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong I know what Mappa's animators had to go through, so that's why it's limited to this

I love how Gabi laughed about how she killed many people in war and that she should be the next choosen one for the armored titan, but as soon as she is the one gatting attacked she acts like the other people are the bad ones while she did the same exact thing and laugjed about all the people she had killed. Thats one of the reasons i dont like Gabi....

You don't expect from a 12 years old to have common sense in such a society , Falco is a very rare case and you can't compare him to gabi because he heard reiner and eren's conversation and he have a less hasty personality in general

eren's titan form looks way more like a devil this episode. and knowing aot, there's gotta be some reason behind it
When Jean was saying to flock how they should keep casualties to a minimum he knows where they are, Flock thinks the civilians are marleyan but the beginning of the episode show that Willy knew they would attack and made sure it took place in the middle of Liberio, the Eldian area so all those Innocents they killed weren't justice it was just a massacre because they were killing their own in a blind rage like Kratos killing his family in God of War, yeah he killed the enemy but also his family because of his own blind violence, Eren knew and still did it because he has no choice but the scouts are the ones in control and can actively see civilians running away and still choosing to fire anyways, even Sasha at least shot soldiers holding weapons
Those eldians weren't their own. They all hated the Island Devils as much, if not more than Marley.
@@flamefusion8963 1. that isn't a reason to kill them as they you know aren't fighters, 2. it's very clear from Grisha's back story whether they believe the history they are told doesn't matter all they have to do is follow it and not make a scene to continue living, so assuming that every eldian in liberio hates the eldians from Paradis isn't back up by anything shown, if anything Gabi is the only outlier as every other important Eldian (Porco, Pieck, Falco, Colt and Grisha's Parents) don't actively hate Paradiasians, even Annie said it as such back in episode 3, it doesn't matter who's side you are on Eldians, Marlyeans, they're all liars only looking after themselves

I dont think "hardening" in itself should be divided into different categories just because of the aesthetic, its all the same material, but the anime just makes it look different for the sake of looking cool.
I like how Mappa's version of Eren hardening his fists looks more like rock and stone, while Wit's version reminded me too much of ice (altho it was supposed to look like crystal).
Most of the titans seem to apply hardening in some way, Armored as a protection measure, War Hammer in form of tools, Jaw in the mandibule and the fingers, and Annie and Eren (and probably Zeke too) have it artificially through seruns like Eren consumed.

I think Reiner’s Titan is supposed to have white armor too, but the anime made it more flesh colored.
No because Reiner armor was broken many times on paradise but white armour cannot be broken by paradise's people

@@THEkarankaira ehh, even the crystal cave from S3P1 was not at all crystal-textured in the manga. I think the hardening is the same material in all the instances (except maybe the clearly crystalled texture of Annie's and Lara's crystalls that can't be destroyed by thunder spears)

Eren doesn't really hate Reiner. He feels he needs to do this and he said in his speech for his talk rather with rhiner that I'm not doing this out of hate I'm just doing this because I have to I have no choice he's not doing a set of hate he's doing that it's out of what he feels is to be necessity. It's a little subtle it's hard to tell since Eren seems so jaded but I feel like it's definitely the case here he's moved past his hate and his anger and he's just doing this because he wants to free everyone although we'll probably get more of this in the future I'm not going to talk too much more enjoy the reaction. I can't wait for the rest of them it sucks that you guys do one at a time for yourself cuz it looks so painful trust me I know it it was awful having to wait week to week for this

Well, same with Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie, their main job was to get the Founder titan, even if it included killing others. So none are in the right to be ‘Good’ or ‘Evil’
"Reiner did the same thing", I mean Eren caused the deaths (direct and indirect) of people in an area similar to a city block (the theater stage) so like a central plaza (saying that they were 1,000 people in his vicinity is being quite generous), and we know that they are planning to swarm them with a navy of 30k soldiers, even if he were to kill everyone (which we know many of the people in the plaza escape, (I would even say most) it will still be way lower than the reported +250k innocent deaths Reiner and Berthold caused by destroyed wall Maria (and even then for Eren I am considering the Navy as "innocent casualties" if they were to die, when in reality they wouldn't count, so Eren wouldn't actually be close at all to all the innocent deaths Reiner caused, even if we were to split 250k /3 to split the blame among Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie)
