As much as I think innovation in the hobby is good, this just feels kinda stupid. They all sound extremely similar and tbh the 'new' mounting styles all sound worse than the standard gasket sock and top mount. The o-ring was ok, but the rest introduced some hollowness/metallic resonance which wasn't present on the gasket and top mount (not really sure how they made top-mount one of the least resonant out of all of these). Changing the mounts seems like a hassle too with screwing and unscrewing all the pieces. It's features for the sake of feature imo. The magentic connector still attached with a ribbon cable is a bit silly. They clearly couldn't fit a magnetic connector on the pcb due to the placement of the battery compartments but still wanted magnets because QK and Neo have them.
Incredibly thorough as always! 🌞 I wonder if the non-flex PCB will sound more different between mounting styles.. too bad I haven't seen any content creators get their hands on that just yet.
Thanks my dude~ Yeah Meletrix mentioned the 1.6mm PCB's weren't ready for reviewers when they sent the kits out. Guess we'll just need to wait for the production run for the 1.6mm PCB sound tests :)
I got the Zoom65 V2 and was satisfied. It was just a sham I could not get an ISO pcb... top mount is fine. I just don't see the point to get another mounting system. My non flex cut pcb, top mounted is really great. I'm just looling now for ISO pcb AND very nice french keycaps (but here 's the worst... poor market so no choice).

How do you disassemble the board with top mount? Doesn’t ball latch require you to push down the pcb assembly to separate the top and bottom case?
That is a really good question…was this an oversight?
where do u find the GIFs? it's always too big for me or doesn't work

I was wondering whether you had any recommendations for a $100USD deep sounding, aluminum keyboard. Possibly a 75% or a 65% with a knob?
I'm waiting on a review unit of the new Monsgeek M1 V3 to arrive so for now I'll save a recommendation till I get to check it out :)
hi75
@@Merkeebs I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the rainy75?
Get the bridge75 trust me

I agree... can't tell any difference among different mounting when it comes to sound
Great review. Do you prefer this board or qk65v2 classic?
I haven't personally tried the QK65 V2 Classic so I can't say for sure
The fidget toy of keyboards.
Nice vid mate
Great vid!
First one! As always, awesome content.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
